Very roomy interior, terrific deck overlooking the lake, lots of activities (enough kayaks for our group, plus life preservers, paddle boat, paddle board). Every need was met. If I ever stay on Lake Cherokee again, this location would be my first choice.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. The homeowners were awesome and so kind. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to take a break and get away from it all. Great family vacation. Thank you Greg and Gina!!! Your house and hospitality were the best.

Pirate Cove was a nice, quiet respite. There is limited traffic on the road, which was great for running and walking the dogs. We saw several dear roaming. There were plenty of lake floatation toys and boats. The owner, whom we only saw while outside working on the lawn and grilling, is very friendly and respectful of privacy. The house was clean and inviting for pets with a large dog bed and feeding bowls.

My family and I loved this house. We originally booked it as a cheaper option than a hotel for a baseball tournament we were in near by. The view is pretty, it’s relaxing, the house is great!! We had the max 10 people 6 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of room. The sleep arrangements are clearly stated, we did end up buying 2 air mattresses for our own comfort decisions. The lake was clean and warm when we were there. You’re tucked in and safe from boat traffic while playing in the water. The beach area I believe is getting a face lift. We have decided we will DEFINITELY be coming back to Pirate Cove when planning our next trip to TN. We went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge several different days-it’s a nice drive!!

The first thing you'll notice is the incredible view, which makes every morning relaxing and remarkable. The home is well-kept, spacious, and perfect for an extended stay for a family. They even go above and beyond by including baby-items and pet-items, so a lot of thought was put into making sure our needs were met and comfort was ensured. The proximity to the local Walmart was great for picking up little things here and there. The layout of the home achieved the balance between spacious and cozy perfectly.

This place was perfect for our family to hang out and relax after being on the baseball field all day with my son. The view from the deck is awesome, tons of lights in the house that were all labeled to avoid confusion, tv is huge in the living room, beds were comfortable, and having kayaks was a great plus. Next time we are in the Knoxville area we will book this place again. Thank you for hosting us at your lovely home.

The home is open concept with windows at the back overlooking the lake from the private cove.- you can see the deer, the eagles & the fun happening at the lake. In the evening, the sunsets are stunning.

The property was a great location and just minutes from the Black Oak Marina. The family enjoyed the kayaks, padboard and the pedal boat. The view was just great of the lake. The house was big enough for the whole family and the dogs. I would definitely recommend the house for a family gathering.

Absolutely will come again. This was our 2nd trip and cannot wait for the 3rd.

Our family loved all the fun things to do at the lake. There was plenty to do at the house plus the nearby possibilities left no time for the kids (or adults) to be board…aquarium, distilleries, outlet mall, Dollywood to name a few. There was a nearby marina where we were able to rent a boat plus the adults brought their paddle boards. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house itself was very unique and filled with everything one might need or want. I would definitely go back!

The view was perfect, great quiet place to stay for the week. Kids loved the dock and all the kayaks, paddle board and paddleboat. The place is definitely pet friendly. It could use some outside maintenance. The house had plenty of pots, pans, plates and everything you need to be comfortable. Dish network didn’t work at all ( I think the trees are blocking signal) so prepare to log in to your apps, but most of the TVs were Roku so we were happy on rainy days. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

Nice property on lakefront. Kayaks, inner tubes, and paddle boat provided. Gorgeous view of lake from outside deck and inside porch. Wood and gas fire pits. Plenty of TVs. Good internet WiFi.
4.8
The house was clean, well stocked and very comfortable with wonderful lake access! Beautiful huge view of the lake and we felt like we had our own little cove! We brought our pontoon boat and the dock was deep enough and had cleats to safely tie the boat. The family LOVED it and we will definitely be back!

Lakefront living with kayaks, paddleboard, tubes and a dock. This house had it all! Very clean, enough space, dog friendly with an xxl sealy dog bed and large & small dog bowls on location. TVs in bedrooms, family room and.living room. Kitchen had everything we needed. Close to gas station, food shopping, Walmart and Tractor Supply. We had an amazing week at this property with 2 families and 3 large dogs. We will definitely be back!!

This property has everything you are looking for. Its a nice size house with large gathering areas and the distance to the water is so convenient. The lake equipment was a huge hit. We stayed on all of them! I brought lake floats and never blew them up because this property is well furnished. We used the firepit at night which was the cherry on top! I met the owner who is super nice. It was all around a great trip.

Property was beautiful, lake was beautiful as well
The cleanliness of the house needs improvement
This sleeps 6 adults comfortably possibly 8 if you count the fouton
The other sofa bed can’t fit two adult children on it , maybe 3 or 4 year olds
Overall our family had a great time

Loved the place , great view, and would stay again. The headless pirate did startle us a few times while bringing things in but it was funny.

My advice to everyone is to purchase the trip insurance. We were not able to go on our vacation due my husband being admitted to the hospital with chest pain on the Tuesday the week before we were suppose to leave and having to have a 5 way bypass heart surgery the Thursday before we were suppos e to leave, and he did not get out of the hospital until the day we were suppose to leave for vacation. I contact Vacasa as soon as we found out that he was being admitted, and the extent of what was about to happen. They were unable to help me get any of the money back. One because they said it was within 14 days of my check in date and two because i didn't purchase the insurance. I normally do purchase the trip insurance but this time the trip was planned like mid March so i did think we would have the need to cancel it. Vacasa said the best they could do was move it out a week but the home was already rented so they could not help me. My husband is not allowed to travel far distances in a vehicle.
I gave it all threes because I had to select something and I am sure my family would have had a wonderful time on this vacation.

The property was an amazing location. Relatively close to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg which have many fun things to do. Beautiful natural setting. Plenty of hiking and fishing.

I feel like we have found our home away from home. Our family loved the amazing view!! What a comfortable and amazing spot to relax and unwind. We will 100% be back.

I want to start off with the positives the place looks just like the photos online and seeing that amazing view every day from the deck was truly beautiful. Having use of the kayak’s and the paddle boat was very generous of the owner and it really made for some fun times on the water. The owner is a wonderful host, he went out of his way to make things right for us and made our stay more pleasurable. He is the reason I’d come back.
Unfortunately though our stay did not start out well. I have rented with Vrbo before, however I have never experienced working with Vacasa and I can say that I am not pleased with their cleaning and maintenance services. With the amount of money spent especially in additional fees this place should have been emasculate and in well working order.
We had a 12 hour drive so we arrived after dark, there were no lights on the porch or walkway. The bulbs were all burned out so we had to use our cell phone flashlights to unload the cars and hoped no one fell. The home appeared clean upon entry but we found multiple concerns such as the garbage being left in the can from the previous renters, all the floors being very dirty, especially the bathroom ones. My friends actually ended up washing their bathroom floor as it was sticky. That shower door was broken too. Many bulbs were blown-out throughout the house, the ceiling fan blades had dust caked on them, the grill was not suitable to cook on, the grill brush was destroyed and the propane fire pit ignition connection was broken.
As I did contact the Vacasa people to address these issues and they did send someone out the next day, but these concerns should have been checked and corrected before we arrived. I contacted the owner and he made all the wrongs right.
Again the positives are, the place is a gem and the owner is wonderful but the Vacasa team is very disappointing.

Place was wonderful. Booked and paid for reservation via Vrbo, did not realize it would go through a third party and that I would be charged fees by both companies -- this was unexpected and not appreciated.

If you want to be one with nature, this is the place to go. The tranquility of the lake and all the wildlife makes for a perfect vacation destination!
4.8
Wonderful property. Extremely private besides the family of deer that visited each day. Clean, clear water. Will be back for certain!

There is no better place to enjoy the beauty and serenity, and also have opportunities for recreation. The lake and environment are stunning. The home is lovely and offers everything an individual could want. Don’t miss this opportunity to have a wonderful time! We will be back!

We had an amazing time at this house enjoying the lake and the owner provided water equipment. Its private and quiet while also being close access to so much to do and we look forward to future stays.
Unfortunately our stay did not start out well. The house appeared clean upon walking in but we encountered countless areas that made it obvious that the cleaning staff did the bare minimum, dirty dishes in the cabinets, blood streaks on a bedspread, dust, dirt garbage and clothes under beds etc. Our plans were to grill out and to our dismay found the grill to be unusable. The door to one of the bathrooms was broken and could not be closed and all the toilet seats were practically falling off . We contacted Vacasa immediately and they sent a maintenance man out the next day who fixed the toilets and the door and looked at the grill and said it would be reported to the owner and they would get back to us, the cleaning issues were not dealt with. After 2 days of not hearing from them I called again and was told that a grill was ordered and would be delivered when it came in. I got the distinct impression they just trying to put me off. The next evening the owner should up to check the house and property after a big storm and fortunately we were there because when we relayed our issues to him he had no idea, no one from vacasa had communicated with him. He brought us a grill the next morning and was so nice and apologetic and he is the reason we would come back.
The house, property and amenities are excellent
Vacasa as management and cleanliness poor

This place is a gem! The listing is spot on, house is even better in person. We had 4 adults and 4 children, everyone had a blast! The kayaks, paddle boat and paddle board were a huge hit. I couldn't keep the kids out of the water if I wanted to❤️ We fished, played in the water, enjoyed the propane fire pit and crashed every night in comfortable beds. Enjoyed dinner at the marina. We planned on renting a boat but didn't need to. Also enjoyed the magestic bald eagles flying around everyday day! Got to meet the owner, super cool guy!
ONLY thing I would suggest is an outdoor wood fire pit but will not keep us from renting again! Thanks for a great time with the kiddos!

The house was actually as good as the photos made it look. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable and all had tvs. Enjoyed the kayaking and wildlife. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and he was extremely friendly and helpful.
