House was clean with the exception of a few “clean” towels still had hair in them.
Host was great with communication and responding to any issues we had.
Bathroom is located off of kitchen with a sliding door. Bad location.
Nextdoor neighbor came out and let it be known that we had to park all three vehicles behind the house in the garage which ideally was for two vehicles. He claimed to own the property that we were renting for two days and stated that him, his wife and daughter needed the parking spaces in front. (Which were all public street parking btw)
Never mind the fact that we had to park in front in order to get in the house and retrieve the garage door opener. But how do you restrict someone from parking in front of a property that they’re paying for? That’s public parking to begin with?
Anyways, overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved our trip to St. Louis. We tried to find a location that kept us in the heart of St. Louis and near all the attractions we wanted to see. It's just blocks from Soulard St. & Budweiser Brewery and a10–15-minute drive to the Arch, City Museum, Zoo, The Hill or Union Station.
There were a couple hiccups with the home & items functioning correctly, but the owner was very quick to answer questions and make things right. We especially liked having a garage door to secure our vehicles in the fenced-in area at night.
Although the urban heart & soul of St. Louis is what we were looking for there are a few homes in this area that are dilapidated & in the process of being renewed. Don't let that scare you away. We had zero issues with anyone living around us and would book this property again.

I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend with some friends and one, 40year old child. The home is beautiful; exactly as it looks in the listing. The beds are huge, comfy, and clean. We loved the living room and kitchen!
We were traveling all over STL, visiting downtown, Soulard, Tower Grove, and Cherokee street (which is near by - about a 5 minute drive). It's a great location if you have a car. Not much to walk to nearby. Uber Eats offered some cool options when we got rained in.
We struggled with the dishwasher, which wasn't working and smelled bad when we opened the door. Reported it to the owner, but not sure if it was ever fixed.
Yes, I'd stay here again with a group. Lots of space, beautiful surroundings, and enclosed parking are all pluses. And, it is very, very clean.

The house was beautiful, we had a fun time staying in for the weekend. And Walter is a fantastic host.

The property was just like the pictures. Check on was very easy. The rooms we're very spacious. There was wnough room for our entire family during our stay. The garage in the back was a plus to fit our 2 vehicles so we didnt have to park on the street. The only thing i didnt like was the bathroom curtains are see through I would definitely recommend those being changed for privacy when undressing. The kitchen space was enough for us to move around without being on rop of each other. We had an issue with the couch and the dishwasher but it was taken care of within the hour of me contacting our host. He was very responsive. We needed to add on an additional day and he helped us right away. My family and I will definitely stay here again in the future. It felt like a home away from home.

Our first time in St Louis. Great property but the neighborhood was a little iffy. Very inner city. Obviously a neighborhood going through some regentrification. Close to downtown and what we came to see. Very comfy beds. Great pillows. It worked perfect for us.

Good location near downtown & Forest Park. Happy we found a lower level bed& bath.

This property is in a great location for proximity to many different venues in St. Louis. We stayed with our family of 6 adults and 3 children under 2. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious.
The kitchen is large and a great space to be able to cook meals and have room for 6 people to sit together. The living room is quite small to accomodate this many people with room on the couch for 3 people a padded bench and bar stools from the bar. We had toddlers with us so of course much time was spent on the floor but comfort was not key here. The picture is very clear, what you see is exactly what you get for seating. The place is updated and fresh but for practicality it is a bit lacking. The house very much welcomes young children with a highchair and pack and play crib readily available but with a slider barn door without a latch for the bathroom that is adjacent to the kitchen and the bedroom door with no latch to keep the door closed the asthetics outway the practicality.
Previous posts also listed the excessive nighttime lighting being an issue. It appears that a remedy has been attempted to alieviate the excess light by putting blackout curtains in the front windows only. However, the street is incredibly well lit by a business on the corner and the windows in the house are extremey large and on the side of house so it is actually light enough to read without an indoor light in bed at night. Night noises ie. sirens are expected in a downtown location, this location has it's fair share with a hopsital only 2 miles away it was a busy place on this holiday weekend.
Off street parking is a plus. It is not an enclosed garage but it is locked to the ally and a great place to get your vehicle off the street.
The host is extremely reposnsive to all messaging. I contacted Walter before our trip and asked some specific questions. He responded within minutes. Upon our arrival we had a few questions and again he responded within minutes with a solution. The dishwasher did not work and we notified Walter of this. We didn't expect a repair during our stay, and asked about a stopper for the sink. He had insta cart deliver a new stopper within an hour. He definately does his best to accomodate.
We would stay here again but might bring some of our own throw pillows to accomodate seating on the floor in the living room.

Enjoyed our stah
We enjoyed our time at this property. Wally is a good host and it is recently renovated and very well kept. Like most of south St Louis, it is in a neighborhood that is undergoing revitalization and still has abandoned buildings around. We met some of the neighbors and they were very kind. Our only criticism is that the windows need blinds as the curtains aren’t sufficient.
