We loved staying at this cottage. It is small but has everything you need for two people. The communication with the host was great. We fished, relaxed and explored the area for a great weekend.

This beautiful cottage was clean, elegant and would compete with any five star hotel. The bed was comfortable, the shower was large and the owners reviews of restaurants in the area did not disappoint. Their dock was loaded with catfish underneath and the fishing light under the dock was the cherry on top! I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a romantic weekend getaway or a fun summer vacay. We will be returning in the future.

So glad we chose Stan's property to take in the 2024 eclipse! We weren't expecting anything special so it was nice to be pleasantly surprised! Everything was clean and as pictured but with little extras everywhere! A bottle of wine, snacks, and a few waters were awesome after a long travel day.
The record player with a few classic albums set the weekend mood and well stocked extras like towels, linens, and blankets reinforced the feeling of being well taken care of. There was a clean grill and a Keutig with coffee provided. The view was relaxing and the sunsets lovely. The neighbors on both side were friendly but unobtrusive. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure with never-ending hot water!
Lastly, Our spur the moment decision to go to the safari in Eustace turned out to be a great decision! We laughed all along the way and saw animals we will not soon see again!
As for the eclipse, it wasn't looking good. An early foggy start then thick clouds rolled in but like everything else on this short trip it turned out perfect! The skies cleared 20 minutes before the main event and what a show it was!

Very nice host and surprise to have a romantic set up: table set up with a bottle of French wine in front of the colorful fireplace. Love the view and quiet winter season by the lake. A lot of nature space outside. Great lighting setup right for the gas grill on the deck. Great communication and nice information for everything nearby in town.

This cottage if perfect for couples looking to get away from the city without going too far. It's in a very quiet and friendly community. Perfect for fishing and cookouts by the lake. We enjoyed looking at the beautiful homes and great views.

Wow! This place far exceeded our expectations. The little cabin is very well-built and super cozy. You are right on the water with a kayak to borrow. The lake was so nice. We had a blast. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful. One thing to note is that the WiFi was a bit shotty, so keep that in mind if you are planning to work remote.

Sweet place to stay for two on Cedar Creek Lake. Friends had everything they needed for their two nights. Nicely appointed, comfortable place, great shower. Only comment from friends - who are older - was that there was no outside light and the steps down to the cottage are hard to see at night.

We had a long weekend visiting our daughter. The cabin was perfect for us. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Stan was so great as a host!
He communicated with us and made our stay perfect! He even had a bottle of wine and snacks for us. We would definitely stay again! Thanks Stan!

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay and plan to come back in the future! We were beyond surprised how good the fishing was right there on the property. Between the 2 of us we caught roughly 60 fish over the weekend. We had a blast!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot. Quick wildflower getaway, we'd definitely stay again. The cabin is pristine and exceptionally comfortable. Easy access to anything you'd want but still peaceful and quiet. Our host and neighbors gave us complete privacy while still letting us know they were available if we needed or wanted anything. Absolute perfection!

What an awesome getaway! We spent 4 beautiful nights at this wonderful lake cottage. Our hosts were so gracious and accommodating. The cottage is tastefully decorated and much more roomier than the photos portray. Everything was so clean and fresh. Our host even cleaned the windows so we could have a beautiful and spotless view of the lake. We enjoyed the beach thanks to the low lake levels. Our lab loved playing in the water and running on the beach. We also enjoyed the dock night light. We were able to see a lot of catfish and other fish gathered around it. The outdoor grill made for a relaxing BBQ with our grandson, who by the way caught 4 catfish while fishing off the dock! He had a blast!
The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Beautiful beautiful part of the lake. Thank you to our hosts for everything!!

The cabin is bigger than it appears in the photos and it was perfect for 2 adults and 1 big dog. We used the grill, relaxed on the deck, enjoyed fishing and stargazing from the dock. Everything we needed was there, especially the flashlight to get to and from the dock at night. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and while we didn’t meet Stan, all of the neighbors were very friendly. Our dog swam and swam and we enjoyed the Cedar Creek Brewery which is dog friendly, has great beer and food. You just need a cooler with ice and you’re all set. Ample fridge space for food and drink for a few days. We had a great time in lovely place!

Our short lakeside stay was everything that the property listing described. The cottage was in excellent condition. Great water pressure in the shower. Bed was firm and comfortable. Kitchenette offerings supported the two breakfasts, lunches and dinners we prepared. TV included Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix. WiFi signal was strong and reasonable speed. Anything missing? Not that I can think of. Owner Stan was a friendly and prompt communicator.

My husband and I enjoyed our time at the lake cottage. We spent our mornings shopping at Canton trade days and our evenings listening to albums on the turntable. Bonus that we got to bring our dog. 😊

Cozy with the best lake view
My husband and I had a lovely 4-night stay at Stan’s lakeside cottage over the 4th of July weekend. The property is perfectly situated on Cedar Creek Lake with an impressive view of the water. The cottage was equipped with everything two people and a dog would need for a fun and relaxing stay. The room and bathroom was nicely updated and decorated. The living space was comfortable and clean. We appreciated having a kitchenette to prepare simple breakfast items and the double drawer fridge to keep our drinks cool. The little patio in front of the cottage included a nice gas grill and seating for two. We enjoyed grilling steaks on there while watching the sun set on the water. Stan was a very responsive host, provided recommendations for places nearby, encouraged us to enjoy the his dock and fish light, and made us feel so welcomed. We had the best time swimming in the lake, paddle boarding, and enjoying a glass of wine after a sun soaked day. We are looking forward to making annual trips to Cedar Creek Lake and would definitely stay at Stan’s cottage, again.

Beautiful cabin steps away from the water!
We love this place. Brand new amenities, peaceful, quiet and if you like to fish this is the spot. Stan was the best host we have had so far. The light in the lake to night fish is the biggest bonus. We will be going back there often.
