Older hotel, parking is outside. Large rooms but a bit dated. Room service basic menu but nice enough. King size bed was 2 singles pushed together which is a pet hate of mine. Staff friendly and helpful.

I love the courtyard of this hotel- great both for a late night drink and for breakfast. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Thanks in particular for the generous tea and coffee (and decaf!), and for shampoo with print that I can read without my glasses.

Prefracing: I know they don't offer early check in. But hear me out. We booked this because we were being picked up for a wedding. I called a week in advance and I was told over the phone that they had put a mark on my booking to let them know to check for early check in. This was fine, I was told to call closer to the day. I call the day before we were to travel down. They said call the morning of, that's fine. We call the morning of - as we were on the road to Canberra. Brett picks up the phone, says he's unsure we'll just have to talk to the desk when we get there. My wife is breastfeeding and needs some privacy to pump. So we were hoping there was a parents room, or at worst - a disabled toilet. We get to the hotel, room is still unavailable and we have to wait for another 20 minutes before they can check if there's a room available. My wife asks for a parents room. There is none, we can use the disabled toilets - it is locked, opened with a butter knife. So not a great start. I approach the desk again, a sweet lady (did not get her name, but you were the only brown person on staff that day) was gracious and said you could find us a room potentially. She finds a room, says she will walk up to us and give us a key. She does, we get into our room. The room, and the rest of the hotel is fine. Perfectly acceptable. But just weird policies around early check in that made it more stressful than required. Why do you have to contact the other person to confirm??

Clean, comfortable room - although a friend noted worn carpets, so perhaps not all rooms are of the same standard. Very pleasant atrium for coffee or dining. About 5 mins walk to tram to city. Secure parking at rear but may be a long way from hotel entrances. Be wary of trees dropping filmy substance on cars in some parts.

This hotel has seen better days but it is well maintained and clean, and perfect for an overnight stay. Service at the front was great. However when we went for a long breakfast we found our room door wide open on our return. We were 100% we had shut our room door. Nothing seemed to be stolen but our passports, other credentials and credit and debit cards were casually left in the room. (Do not recall there being a safe in the room). We reported this to the front desk. We are hoping this incident was due to the cleaners being a bit too keen to clean our room. We are now monitoring our credit and debit card accounts for any fraudulent activity as details of our cards could have been noted. Security is an issue and could be improved! For this reason we have given a 2 star overall rating.

A very nice hotel, with a nice atrium-like character. The breakfast was good value for money, the bar was pleasant. The room was clean and large, a little bit dated in style but comfortable. The secure free parking was appreciated, as was the location on the tram track making access to central Canberra very easy.

The room was not in good condition: tiles were broken and loose, there were rusty shelves in the bathroom, the carpet had a bad smell, the air conditioning system was outdated, and the air extraction system in the bathroom was not working.

I have mobility issues. The hotel didn't have sufficient info regarding accessibility on their website e.g. no photos of bath/shower. Even after an email request no additional useful info was provided. However, perhaps by a request in my booking or by chance, the shower/bath did have safety bar on the correct (right hand) side.

We were stayed for work and this was perfect. Close to the venue, safe and safe parking, quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely Atrium and bar. Our room was wonderful with a soft bed and lounge. We had the buffet breakfast which was just what we needed. Highly recommend. We will be back
