Very old. Floors need replacing. Beds were small. The door was drafty so the heater kept running. The train is loud and comes often.

The front desk staff were extremely friendly. We found cleaning rags on one of the beds and there was a lot of hair in the tub. We were concerned about the railroad that ran close to the property, but we were tired and only heard trains a couple of times through the night.

Didn’t like the proximity to the active freight train line. Carpet seemed to have a residue on it - possibly from cleaning. Sink tap handle was loose and had to fiddle with it to change water temperature.

Check in was a nightmare with an extremely rude front desk clerk. She turned a small miscommunication problem regarding what forms of payment they accept into a major ordeal. A simple we don’t take Apple Pay would have sufficed. Not who I would want representing my company. So my initial impression was that this hotel was not welcoming in the least. The room was decent as was the pool. We had no further problems during the rest of our stay.

Clean & comfortable. A little noise from trains but not bad with AC running. Only complaint is in room coffee maker. Water reservoir was full of mold..gross! If you're not a coffee drinker it was fine.

Everything was great. Only problem I had was with soap dispenser in the shower being near empty. Got enough to get the shower in. But it took a bit of work to get enough soap out of the dispenser.

It was a nice and clean. The front desk agent was extremely nice during check in. I had a lot of things to carry and I was assigned a 2nd floor room. Since they did not have an elevator she gave a 1st floor room. For me with 2 small children ,that woked out wonderful.

The best part about this stay was the customer service we received. Maddy the night auditor was one of the most amazing individuals I have encountered. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my driver was well taken care of and her level of compassion and professionalism definitely sets her apart from others in the hospitality area. Just as other reviews have said, the room was amazingly large for the price. There was a mini fridge and a microwave which is great for a travel baseball parent. What we liked best about the room. Was the air conditioning? It actually cooled the room down to the temperature that we wanted at and kept the room cool while we were away during the day.

The outside of the property does not reflect the room and experience. Room was large and clean, beds comfy, very quiet, plenty of hot water. No complaints, I am quite happy despite the fact when I first saw the place I was a little worried. Just what we wanted and great price.

This is the 4th time I stay here and I really love the hotel. The staff the manager was so helpful. I didn’t know about a deposit and the manager help me thru the check in process. I will definitely choose this hotel every time I come to Dekalb.
