GREAT PRICE WAY BETTER PLQACE THAN EXPECTED

Pretty quiet, excellent location, charge of $20 for dog, virtually no pet area as entire property was paved, great cable tv service, nice refrigerator, AC worked great, decent bathroom, good breakfast—scrambled eggs, coffee, juice, rolls, tater tots

The people were very nice. Older place, but nice.

A comfortable stay. AC worked great. Lots of stairs and no elevator.

After arriving and bringing in part of my luggage, I returned to car for more items. But card to enter wouldn’t work. My dog was inside and even manager couldn’t get cards or new cards to work until trying a master key so I was moved to another room. The motel indicated it was pet friendly but no where to let a pet go. The two picnic tables had lots of garbage and too much dog poop. It wasn’t worth the lower price.

Room was usable but was not very clean. Coffee maker was missing a part and therefore unusable. Housekeeping apparently never noticed the missing pod holder because everything was there to make coffee except a functioning machine. The breakfast was marginal and the breakfast room was poorly organized so you were constantly having to move around other guests to get what you needed. They could use another waffle maker also because it seems everyone wants waffles so there was always a wait since there was only one machine. Eggs were cold and the tater tots/hash browns? were mushy. Coffee urns were unmarked and one was empty.

Passing thru Cortez on 2-3 week motorcycle trip I needed a low-cost home-4-the-night, the Super 8 did the trick.
Check-in went smooth (I received the promised 1st floor room) but the 3 trips to move gear into room was annoying because the door on my room, which needed leveling, jammed when opened halfway.
Apart from that maintenance issue - and a decor issue (a lounge chair was underneath the on-the-wall clothes rack, nullifying one’s ability to sit in it), everything else seemed fine.
Next morning I tested the “Continental Breakfast”. Based on my experience of staying at nearly 1 dozen hotels on this trip I would rate the breakfast offering maybe a 6 (out of 10) or less.
Having found an inexpensive place to stay, a place where all my gear was already stored, I sought to stay for a 2nd night. Based on what the clerk (Management?) told me I would have to make my reservation online (with Hotels.Com). I told him I’d be glad to do that, but I didn’t wanna move out of the room I have because of all my gear. After a fair amount of discussion, he told me I’d have to check out by 11 (with all my gear) and couldn’t check back in until 3 PM if I made another reservation. At that point I told him it wasn’t worth it, I would go to another hotel in Cortez.

Don't let the lobby fool you, we had beds in our room and bites on us after our stay!

The room was very decent and clean and they cleaned and changed bed sheets after the third night. There is laundry on site and even free breakfast service in the morning. Overall very good value for the price.

Friendly staff. Clean ..

The hall carpet was wet and there were wet holes in the ceiling where pipes had broken. The room had a hole in the wall next to the AC open to the outside big enough that we had to put a towel into it to keep bugs out.

This was a good value property, clean, convenient for Mesa Verde and served a great breakfast.
4.0
Could have been a bit cleaner, but it was not terrible.

We believe the air conditioner is set at probably 75° and will not go any lower. The room is very dark with only one lamp.
The front desk did get another lamp from another bedroom when I insisted because you could hardly see in the room

We had booked a handicapped room. When we arrived we were told that we didn't. I showed all confirmed information to host and was pretty much told too bad too sad. The breakfast was insufficient. They had stated breakfast was from 6 - 9. We arrived at 7:30am. They had no meat also they ran out of eggs and tator tots. Host told everyone that there's no more. I believe you'll get the same response from many others about this.

The a.c. in our room didn't work properly, there was no smoke detector, the condition of the room was very run down-places where someone had kicked the wall, cracked sink, etc. Also, the breakfast offerings ran very low on a couple of days we were there. We stayed there about 5 years ago, and the accomodations were not as run down, and more choices for breakfast.

You get what you pay for. Weird smell and could have used more TLC when cleaning but the AC worked fabulously and there were NO BUGS found! I would stay away from the breakfast though because i saw the eggs still sitting out at 9pm when i got ice. I would stay here again for a quick stay.

I had 3 people in room, 2 towels in room. We asked for an additional towel and was denied. People above my room(probably kids), I believe jumping off the bed at 12am, very noisy. Called 0, no one answered, walked down to find attendant asleep, his kid washing towels(10 years old or so). He did nothing about the noise; I would not stay at this hotel.
