The place was clean and comfortable but had no frills. No cart to wheel your luggae in and had to wheel luggage thru gravel to get in building. Witteness an elderly couple having trouble getting in building due to man being in wheel chair and gravel. Customer service was like talking to robots gave information but not friendly. Even though the room was expensive everything was for a fee. No coffee in lounge or water. And on the check out day they were in a hurry for you to leave. They were knocking at your door by 8:00 in the morning and if you didnt answer right away they opened your door. There was no soap and very little shampoo in our bathroom.

There seemed to be nothing there but places to pay more (than $400/night!). Not even a small exercise room. The bathroom was a mess - door handle was broken so the door could not lock. The towel rack is about to fall out of the wall. There was
Almost nothing in the shower soap bottles & they were vey hard to use. The room was sparse. Not even an extra blanket. The trash cans were tiny, so those eating take-out food had nowhere to throw trash.
It had 1 thing going for it - a view of the mountains. You decide if that’s worth $400.

The room was nice, the views were amazing. My only complaint is that there aren't enough parking spaces. I ended up parking in staff only parking area and just informed the front desk. Staff that interacted with were pleasant.

No one was able to help when we were stuck outside our room in the middle of the night.

Even thought we didn't get a room with the view of the mountains we still like the property. Little expensive but i understand they are only open for 6 months out of the year. Clean and we enjoyed the restaurant

We recently stayed at your hotel for two nights, booking a standard room. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to several issues. Our room was located directly above the service laundry room, and we could hear loud noises and feel vibrations throughout the day, continuing until after 11 PM each night. This significantly affected our comfort. It’s hard to believe that the senior staff member at the front desk wasn’t aware of this issue, unless she was a new employee.
Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was very low, making it difficult to wash, especially if you have long hair. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were also problematic—one was empty, and both were difficult to use.
The parking area and the driveway leading to it were unpaved, which made transporting our luggage to the front desk quite challenging, particularly since parts of the road made it impossible to use the luggage wheels. I can only imagine how much worse this would be in the rain.
On a positive note, the waiter in the restaurant was excellent—helpful, friendly, and by far the best part of our stay.

Location was great

It was above average lodge. The view was incredible! No vending machines and other than the substandard Aplenglow Restaurant (spelling?), then was no snacks available after 3 p.m. when the little coffee kiosk closed. It would have been nice to have at least vending machines for drinks and snacks.

They try to get you to purchase the $22 round trip or $16 one way transportation between hotel and train station, however they have a free shuttle that goes to the visitor center and it's just a walk across the road to the train station. $32 for breakfast buffet we skipped! They did text us to see if we needed anything and she was able to answer my questions before we arrived which was quite nice and appreciated

Nice place to stay close to the park. Rooms were clean on arrival

The room was not much to talk about. Clean and a decent shower. The staff and the shuttles were outstanding. I would have liked if the shuttles ran ever 30 minutes rather than every hour.

What a stunning property! Everything appeared to have been recently renovated- it could not have been more clean. The best view in the entire area, perched above the other properties but with a convenient shuttle to get you where you needed to be. The concierge texted us to check in and provide extra guidance, which was an extra-special touch. The breakfast was awesome, too!

There was so water in the morning when we woke up. I understand how things happen however, the front desk employee gave us attitude when we talked with him. There was no laundry facility for us to use after they reinstated the water. The portapotties were not brought out til 10:00 a.m. The rest of the staff were excellent

Expensive for what you get. Standard hotel room, small in room coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Coffee bar, bar & restaurant were expensive. No complimentary coffee available in lobby. Free shuttle available to downtown and to the park visitor center. Facility had issues with water one night so we had to use porta potty. Received small discount for this trouble.
Thought we would receive an elevated “lodge” type experience but in no way did it meet that expectation.

Staff was not helpful. They made me request coffee cups multiple times. I was ultimately was helped by a member of the front desk staff but the experience was frustrating especially, for a small thing like coffee cups. The hotel overall was an enjoyable experience however.

Great views and yummy food! The restaurant, and especially the breakfast, are a bit pricey, but delicious. Overall great stay!

Beautiful hotel well maintained rooms very clean. Needed transportation to go anywhere which was fine they had great shuttle service

The $31 breakfast buffet is absurd. Clearly the property is aware because the host felt obligated to tell us. Unfortunately, with the time we had prior to our excursion this was our only option. Also a host told me and my daughter the bar was open seating. After I ordered a drink and she ordered a soda an additinal bartender told us we weren't allowed. Finally dragging luggage through gravel to get to our room at a $400 accommodation is ridiculous.

The Grand Denali Lodge sits high up on a hill overlooking Denali Village and Denali National Park. The shuttle offered is convenient to the town and the park, however it runs hourly during the day ie. 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. so if you need a ride outside those hours it will cost a small fortune as there are no taxis or ubers in the vicinity. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The view of the park is exceptional although there isn't a view of Denali Mountain from the hotel. They offer good meal choices - even vegetarian.

Hotel slightly dated but clean. Not very quiet. Front desk check in and service was great. They helped us book a last minute excursion after ours was canceled due to the park being closed. Resturant was ok. Very expensive for what it was.

The lobby is beautiful. Rooms are average hotel rooms. We stayed 3 nights and never had maid service. We had to go ask for coffee refills and cups. Food is very expensive. They have a good looking breakfast buffet, but for $31/person, it was too much for our family with 12 and 14 yr olds that don’t eat much. The location is perfect for getting to Denali park. The view from the hotel is spectacular. Parking is limited at the hotel. It seems like they get a lot of tour buses, so there is a small parking lot.

The property was beautiful. I didn’t care for the menu in the dining room, but the service was excellent. Take a car. The hotel is at the top of a hill and the shuttle runs every 45 minutes.

Very basic, room missing some usual things that you can find in budget hotels. New staff from international locations still in training. No one asked how your stay was, or are you missing anything?
