The property was great the staff was very helpful and nice.
The boardwalk in front of the property needs to be replaced. Their wasn’t that many eating options.

Things were fine and clean for 1 night.

cancellation rules need to be better detailed.
I booked 2 nights. Because of a change of our job we had to cut our trip shorter. So I had to cancel one night. I gave over 2 months notice but was still charged 30% of one night. I made a comment that they could rent the night to someone else and was told that they could not do that???
This seemed unfair.

Fit our needs for our trip to Denali.

This is like an upscale dorm room with very thin walls. But the property was well-located close to entrance of Denali Park, and lots of food and shopping options right there.

It was good and walkable distance from bus depot

Did not give option of ground floor accommodation. It was very difficult for me to climb the stairs to the room. Also when asked if there was any shuttle service to post office the clerk said no they didnt have any. They never bothered to tell us about the park shuttle that was available with reservations. Same when asked about shipping supplies or services. The clerk said no there wasnt any. Did not mention the store directly in front of them had shipping supplies and services
But the room was beautiful and it was a pleasure to stay in it

Property was remodeled and spacious, kitchen is well equipped. price $300 is a little high for a motel room. Location is very good, right by the boardwalk shops.

Was in Denali for four nights, though only could book the Princess Lodge for three. There are around seven hotels/motels close to the Denali entrance, Rainbow Village one of them, so it gets points for its proximity to the park. Stayed one night, walking my bags across the highway. Night and day from the beautiful and comfy Denali Princess. I get that for budget reasons (though it is still pricey) and availability (hard to get rooms elsewhere) some will choose Rainbow Village. To be fair the room was larger than the Princess, though lacking any charm or character. Still, it was clean, including the bathroom. Staff was friendly such as the super personable driver to the bus station, Kevin, who handles many chores. Another plus is several places to eat are within walking distance, yet could also walk to the Princess Lodge (and others) with their many restaurants. The whole building, including the hallways, the tiny office, etc. simply look very second rate. Was also noisy in the evening and morning as one family chose to allow other guests to also experience the joy of their loud child running the hall, the family keeping its door open. (Some are simply clueless.) Thankfully, at least at night that didn’t last too long. Overall Rainbow Village is certainly OK. But if able to splurge a bit more, especially traveling a great distance to Denali, for a more relaxing and upscale experience should try and book one of the others nearby, if available.

The room was very dated and the bed was very uncomfortable. It bothered me that they charge for internet on top of that.

Plain but comfortable and convenient. Could do with some renovating but the room was large and close to main boardwalk.
Kevin the friendly driver was fantastic. He did the free pickup and drop off from train depot and provided helpful local advice. Kevin also went above and beyond in assisting another client who had a minor disability.

Basic, but much better than expected. Excellent location. Rainbow RV’s shuttle driver was the most helpful and friendly person at the complex. A real asset to the establishment.

Had a very nice stay here. The motel is conveniently located near restaurants and the places to sign up for adventurous (Zipline g, ATV rides, flights around Denali, rafting, etc). And right down the street from the park entrance. The room was clean and a nice value for the price, but we could hear neighbors on either side of us.

Nice motel in Denali. Quiet and walking distance to cafe, restaurants and entrance to Denali Park.
Nice friendly owner. Pick up from and to train station. Good heating in room 👍

Convenient to the park. No frills.

Nice little cabin in the middle of the RV park. Clean and quiet. Some of the furniture could be upgraded (desk chair was broken) but overall good for the price.

Kevin the van driver was super friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only problem was they made us move rooms agter one night (they did email me that information right after we booked, so at least it wasn't a surprise).

Appreciated the location close to Denali Park. Also appreciated the kitchen in the room.

its a nice place to stay in denali. good price and a plus having a full kitchen in the room as well. only thing that could be better is having better pillows for the beds.

The manager made special arrangements for us to be picked up after normal hours from a Denali tour and took us to the hotel for a late check-in. The driver was friendly, courteous, and very accommodating to our itinerary.

The exterior of the lodge and office looks awful; the room is plain, with exposed unpainted pipes, but the bath was new and fine (except for a noisy fan), the bedspread and pillowcases delightful for the location, and the bear lamp wonderful. The best thing about our stay was the wonderful, helpful staff. We requested a 1st floor room due to our age (late 80s) and got one with accessible ramp & shower. We requested a shuttle and had the most wonderful driver, helper, and all-around good man in Kevin!
3.0
The location is so convenient. We were able to walk across the street and get on the Princess bus which would take us into Denali for free. It was easy to walk to good restaurants. So the location was perfect. However the staff was not always helpful (except Kevin who picked us up at the train depot - he was the best!). Anyway the bathroom was sort of clean and the rooms were very basic. It was ok for a couple of nights. The beds were not comfortable and the 2 pillows were the smallest flattest pillows we have ever seen.

Loved the new showers!

After hours check in process was so easy. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Not enough parking lots in front of motel. Have to park at the gift shop.

This is a basic hotel. It served the purpose to get us near Denali NP. The Princess bus picks up passengers across the street from Rainbow Lodge to take people into the park. This is the only reason to stay at this motel. Kevin picked us up from the train depot to take us to the Rainbow Motel. He was very helpful and curtious.

If all you need is a basic place to stay during your time here, this place will work.
Pros:
-Location. It is very closer to the entrance to Denali National Park and it's easy to get to the shops and couple of restaurants.
-Bathroom. Seems to have been recently remodeled and was decent. Could have used a shelf of some sort in the shower.
Cons:
-Location. This is right off the main road, which means it can be noisy with the traffic going by. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
-Almost zero drawer space for clothes etc. There were maybe 5 hangers in our room and a tiny set of 2 drawers-not nearly enough space for 4 people.
-Noisy hallways. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everyone in the hallways, including the cleaning staff who were quite loud.
For the price, this place was ok, but nothing special.

Amazing place to stay in Denali. After viewing the lay of the town, THIS is the place you want to stay. Don’t let other reviews fool you, this place was perfect. It’s exactly where you want to me, directly across from where you catch the bus into the national park, back to the bus depot or the train. For how much time you will spend in the park, the convenience factor alone makes this place worth it. Plus it’s the only place in town close to all the restaurants and shops. So unless you have a car, this is definitely the place you want to stay because it’s the only place where you can walk to everything.
The building rooms were huge. Had a full kitchen, dining table, fridge, microwave and it looked weird at first, with a water heater in the bathroom, but guess what, your own personal supply of hot water for the showers with zero delay.
Kevin who works there is amazing. He greeted us at the train station and helped up with our luggage. They provide a van to pick us up. He checked us in and throughout the week was always there to help. He even drove us to the two National Park entrance signs so we could get our pictures since the busses don’t stop there. Kevin was great!
All in all, highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the motel. The place is very clean and the staff is very kind. The laundry is 5$ per load. They provide shuttle to and from the train depot. Shuttle to the bus depot is available across the street. The rooms have keurig coffee. We had not taken a pic in front of the famous Denali sign and Kevin was kind to stop. The motel is situated on the boardwalk where you can shop for souvenirs, get coffee, ice cream, crepes, sandwiches, sushi, Chinese food, burgers, hotdogs, and much more. We had a nice lunch across the street at the Grizzly Bear w a beautiful view. Kevin and all the staff were very welcoming. We would stay here again!

Much nicer inside than outside. The Princess lodge is right across the road, with good dining options and free shuttle (for non guests also) to Denali park.

outdoor ambience is not as expected!

Property was convenient for shopping and a variety of restaurants close by. It was usually hot this year and there is no AC. Many of the lodges/hotels were the same. They all, including ours had fans to circulate the air.

Don't let the non-descript outside fool you. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The decor was updated and nice. When we asked for an extra blanket and extra towels, they were brought over immediately. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice, comfortable stay with excellent location to the Denali National Park! The little village was great, everything was right there!
2.0
The property itself is a little unusual since it is a narrow RV parking lot with the motel units mostly being upstairs over strip mall businesses. However, my room was very clean and satisfactory. It was quiet and office staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s an easy walk to mostly everything in this small tourist village just outside the park entrance.
2.0
Good location for Denali National Park. The room was large but dated and the entrance and staircase up to the rooms is not very inviting.
Due to my mistake I had booked through Hotels.com the wrong dates - realising this before travel Hotels.com were unable to change the dates or get a refund for the nights incorrectly booked. This was in line with the policy of the hotel but there was no flexibility given by the hotel staff and when we turned up for the night we had correctly booked they would not consider a refund if they managed to rebook the subsequent nights we had incorrectly booked.
