loved the river view from the balcony!! the wifi service was wonderful! the room was great!
the only thing I would want to change about our stay was the room lacked a refrigerator; most hotel rooms have one & this one didn’t; other than that our stay was great!

The view from our room was amazing.
Other guests were smoking outside and smoke was entering our room.

Room was nice and clean.
When we initially booked the room, the staff told us that a round trip ride to the train station was $50 for 2 people, but they rang us up for $75. They did correct it when we complained. Then when we asked to change the return trip to the train to an earlier time, they said it would cost us an extra taxi fee, but wouldn't refund us the half of the fee that we had paid for the round trip.

Convenient location that is minutes away from park entrance. The food truck at the location had delicious food. The location is few minutes away from restaurants and retail as well. The parking was convenient.
There is no free wifi at this location. The paid option isn't feasible for families that are traveling. The phone connection isn't as ideal as we are in mountains and not having a wifi amenities included in the cost was a bummer as folks in our party had to be online for work/school for a day. The room had comfortable beds, linens, cable TV and coffeemaker and hair dryer, there is nothing else in the room like a fridge or microwave, so you would need to plan your food options before you get to the resort.

Location was good. Room was simple and clean. Parking for this particular building was limited, but no problem parking at another building and walking a short distance.
Parking. Also, this will be completed shortly, but the road maintenance was a nuisance and caused some delay. Just plan ahead and be patient. Limited dining options in the area.

They did not offer any food.
I wish they would have had a restaurant. It would have been nice to eat breakfast before we started our day.

This resort is probably as near Denali Park as you will get unless you go to McKinley village The rooms are spacious with fantastic views and of a high standard.
But appart from a van selling tasty but over priced Chinese/Thai food there is no where to eat in the complex and the shop is very limited in terms of provisions
The reception staff were very helpful and well coming but the reception area is small and grubby
There appeared to be no pool or sauna which for the price I paid I would expect.
The grubby reception area. Wifi which you had to pay for was so slow it was pointless - again for the price of this resort I would have expected much better.

The room was as we expected, but this location is NOT really a RESORT at this time. It appears that many of the services offered prior to the COVID shutdown have not yet returned. Other than the room, a small store, and ice, there were few other amenities. We were highly encouraged to arrive with a rental car, as they provide a shuttle only to the train station. Other hotels/resorts in the area had shuttles to a variety of locations. We took advantage of the breakfast at the resort across the street, but found that on our own. No one at the Grizzly Bear suggested that was an option available to us. The sound of the river behind our room was delightful in the evenings!
No fault of the facility, the construction on the main road through Denali caused considerable delay getting to and from any location, heading either north of south.

The view and surrounding area.
room wasn't sound proof, all night can hear foot stumps from upstairs. the view was good. no breakfast, not easy to get a food. Stayed four nights and Two days out of it didn't have a hot water. No internet. And after all that hotel charges $300 per night.

Would have been nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room.

The balcony was nice with a good view and you could hear the river. It wasn’t private though and you could see everyone’s balcony. Luckily we could go across the street for prepared foods, since they only offered a few overly priced frozen items.
The front office was rude and unhelpful. We had to pay for a transit into the park 6 miles away and it cost $80 per ride. The website makes it seem that they provide a taxi service, but that’s only to and from the train. It’s an extra $50 and make sure you book it because they will be upset if you don’t. Unfortunately, bad hospitality overall. Someone walked in on my wife at 9am, while she was naked, the day we were checking out at 11am. Unacceptable. Room was pretty dated and not lighted very well. One of the lamps didn’t have a light bulb. Everything was cheap. Toilet paper, soaps, etc. bedding wasn’t great.

Good location, room was comfortable, except for no fan or AC available on some very hot days. Internet connection was a continuing source of frustration - good when it was on, but turned off some of the time.
Second floor room was 84 degrees on our last night, with no AC or fan. Amenities were minimal, with no refrigerator or microwave.
6.0
Nice location and comfortable beds.
Lousy accommodations. No microwave, refrigerator or internet. Advertised for desk to be open until 10:30 and always closed before 10. Also advertised to have a restaurant on site…only a coffee shop there.
False advertising and disappointing amenities.

Room and the balcony
This place is only for those who have transport..else one needs to walk across to Denali Park Village on the other side of road to get anywhere

Room and location, balcony screen door were all excellent. It was quiet and comfortable.
Although it may have been because it was early in the season, the store was not well stocked, and it would have been very helpful to be able to have a shuttle to the shops at "downtown Denali", as well as more dining options. Having said that, I realize that this is Alaska, and that may be the way it is.

It overlooked the river
1. no parking near our room but the staff did tell us there was a lot of construction going on and told us where we could park.
2. when we got to our room after check-in, it was freezing. The heat had been turned off & it took a couple of hours to warm up.
3. There was no after hours contact number
4. The pillows were feather 😞
5. There store/gift shop looked like Walmarts shelves after news there will be bad weather 😝

We were presently surprised when we found our room had a nice little balcony overlooking a river. We walked across the street in the morning. The accommodations were quaint
Signage was horrible. The. The river noise was great, just wish we could have seen it. The vegetation was very overgrown.

New, clean
Very, very simple space. TV is the size of a piece of paper—not that we were there to watch tv, it was just humorous.

The location is only 6 miles from the entrance to Denali National Park. There is a balcony overlooking the Netanyahu River - beautiful!

The rooms were clean
I would have thought we would have small refrigerator. Also cups for coffee should have been enclosed in plastic as not using a cup with nothing on it . Was not aware there was any breakfast so possibly a coffee pot in the lobby certainly could be a plus.

Location of the hotel was ideal.
river running behind the room was beautiful
No air conditioner, no fan , no tissue paper box.
Parking was not proper and adequate.
Sewage smell coming from the corner of stairs.
No sign for ice machine and laundry machine areas.

The view outside of the sliding glass door. The view was breathtaking
This hotel room was disgusting. There was a public hair stuck on the outside of the bathtub, hair on the floor and on the inside of the bathtub. The toilet was dirty and there was also a used towel from the previous guest hanging on the wall behind the bathroom door. There was also dead bugs in the corner along with some dirt in the corner where the bathtub was and the wall. There was cereal underneath the sitting chair as well as receipts under the bed closest to the sliding glass door on the floor. The coffee pot still had the dirty coffee pod in it from a previous guest. I'm questioning if the sheets were even changed. They claim the hotel has been Covid sanitary, but it wasn't even clean to begin with without the extra sanitization. A person came up with a little girl to re-clean the bathroom. She said she hasn't had time to inspect the rooms after they're cleaned. She didn't clean the public hair stuck to the bathroom nor the bug on the floor. I told her I wasn't sure the sheets have been changed. She said they were but how did she really know? She never inspected the dirty room. That nasty room (A17) wasn't worth the 342.93 that I paid!!!!! We checked in on July 8th and only stayed 1 night! I advised the front desk at check out how gross the room was. The lady was nice but all she did was apologized. She offered no compensation for this overpriced dirty room. She did say they were having a huge meeting with all of the housekeepers on the morning of the 9th when I checked out and she stated she wasn't sure why that maybe it had to do with my complaints. I also called the night before to voice my concerns about the cleanliness of the room.
