Was only here for a night, no complaints. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. The only thing to mention was on check-out, there were 2 others in front of me and the lady at the desk was on the phone which isnt a problem, however, we stood for nearly 5 minutes and she neber once looked up and acknowledged us in any way. The person in at the front of the queue eventually noticed a key drop off which was fine but the staff member could have at least looked up and signalled she would be with us soon.

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness was excellent

Good experience, very attentive staff

Plenty parking available, professional reception, excellent room and very clean with very comfortable bed. I had room service both nights and again it was professional and quick. Breakfast was hot and tasty with good selection. My only two small gripes were the curtains could do with some repair work on the runners and light switches next to bedside were in dire need of a clean. Next time I’m in Inverness I would definitely return.

Noisy if at front of hotel. Spoke to staff and we got a room at the back for next night. Staff on reception excellent service. Thank you

We stayed here initially Friday evening. The issues began at 10pm when a couple began loudly arguing in a room nearby, this continue again in the early hours. Security were notified and this eventually stopped. We were booked to stay again Sunday and had to do so due to no refund option. Reception upgraded our room however this stay was worse than Friday. A couple began arguing at 1am until 5am when security eventually evicted them after I sent them several text messages reporting the arguing and fighting. Disappointed with this hotel and the way management deal with the issues. I would not recommend.

Room ok but a bit small. The card said "Dial 0 for reception", but there was no phone. My bugbear is having to pay for parking, even with a disabled badge. It's petty and money grubbing.

Easy to get to. Stayed on second floor, corridors and outside very noisy. Didn’t sleep well. Dinner order wasn’t right, offered a complimentary drink and then billed for it. Maybe an off day, maybe not.

Started out rough the room they gave me initially was still in use and I went down to the told them what happened and with in five minutes they had a new room for that was upgraded free of charge. The professionalism of the staff and quickness to fix the mix up made it a very minor bump in the road.

Comfortable hotel w a convenient location. Restaurant was noisy but good food.
I had the largest room w a river view, so was comfortable.

There was a lightbulb missing in one of the bedside sconces which limits lighting in the room. The phone worked in this room but on my previous stay several days earlier in another room, did not work. I was unable to contact reception desk. Should have a staff person directly assigned to check over such details.

Booked a river view room but was given a street view room next to a main road.they supply ear plugs because of the noise of the drinkers on the night and road sweeper early in the morning.over all not worth the money and because of the noise only rates been a 2 star hotel.

Very central. Good breakfast.

Nice hotel in city center, walkable to lots of restaurants, pubs and shops. Would have definitely given a 5 star if it weren’t for the fire alarm going off at 5am one morning, making for a rough sleep one night.

The service provided was excellent and the room looked as per the description. The room was also well cleaned.
Unfortunately our room was located on the second floor and even though the window was closed we could clearly hear the Friday night festivities going on outside. The staff clearly knew this as one set (for a double room) of earplugs were provided which were essential to falling asleep. Earplugs are fine for a hostel dorm. It's not good enough when spending more than 200 GBP per night. Sadly, we won't be returning here.

Bed bugs problem. We had rashes all over. Hotel promised to refund the total amount. Haven’t received the refund yet.

My room was not available at 2:30 when I arrived via train. Others had their rooms available. They let me keep my luggage in lobby secure. Found somewhere to eat.
Too was noisy from 10 pm until 2 am with outdoors partying.

In the centre of Inverness, so well positioned. However, two nights cost us £24 in the carpark outside, which we thought belonged to the hotel, as we had to enter the reg on check in. The cost was not pointed out to us at the time! When I asked, jokingly whether the earplugs left on the bedside table were because the room was noisy, I was answered in all seriousness "yes!", the street outside can get noisy! There was no room available on the quieter riverside of the hotel. Inverness was great with lots of bars and restaurants and, as I said, the hotel was well placed, but it was very overpriced for what it is.

The location was great, but the hotel was dingy and old. The phone and toilet did not work. The elevators were broken.
The shower had no pressure. The tub was scary deep. Hard to get in and out. Very slippery. No fan in batbroom andour room smelled of mildew.
We'll never stay again and will never recommend to anyone.

The hotel and staff were excellent! Great location with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The parking situation is not great, very small lot and hard to get to. The beds were comfortable.

Hotel did not have air so we had window open. There was a lot of street noise from very late party goers and delivery and garbage collection very early in the morning.

Property is conveniently located to the train and bus station's. Service staff were lovely. Our room was ok, a little dark and worn, bed was good, bathroom was very clean and nicely updated.

Everything was great . Breakfast was good. But the food and service at the dinner restaurant was terrible. Pizza was terrible and service poor. Also front desk was not manned so we had to search for someone to check us in

Small poorly trimmed out room with double bed up against the wall on one side, no fridge, and very noisy late in the evening.

Convenient hotel, just a short walk from the train station. Next to the river. Our room actually had a nice view of the river. Breakfast was good!

Great location to walk to shopping..restaurants..and the castle.

After staying in a number of hotels this trip, Mercure was the best hands down.
6.0 / 10.0
The rooms are very dated so only had one double socket for all phones, kettle, hairdryer and watch charger. Also the hot water was scolding hot and the shower so old the temperature couldn’t be adjusted so was impossible to shower and wash hair. There was a sticker on the shower saying very hot water so they obviously already knew and had done nothing about it.

I’ve stayed at Mercure before but this was quite shabby compared to others
4.0 / 10.0
Not a 4 star hotel. Run down, no AC, dirty appearance, limited options for dining, reception not very friendly. Expensive for it offers overall.
10.0 / 10.0
The room itself was nice. We had aroom overlooking River Ness. The outside of the building looks mediocre for the price you are paying.

Loved the woman at the front desk when we arrived she was helpful and cheerful. The location is ideal for transportation, pubs, restaurants and walking there city.

Street side = noisy af side
Shower head was a trickle
8.0 / 10.0
Overall a good option. Comfortable, clean room with updated bathroom facilities. Convenient and walkable to restaurants and shops. Parking on site is shared by general public who are able to pay to park. Initially found it difficult to find a spot within the lot but had no problem once a spot was available.
