Very ordinary Hotel and room. Started with a delayed check in followed by cigarette butts at the entrance to our room. I doubt the room has been updated since the 70ies. Dim lighting, paper thin walls, we could hear everything going on next door. Appliances old and some rusty. Altogether a poor choice on our part.

Have stayed at a lot of places in my time and im not a fussy person what so ever but this is hands down the worst place i have ever stayed. Filthy. Piss stained sheets. Other peoples hair through the bed. Shower drain was so blocked that after 2 minutes over being in there youre ankle deep in water not to mention pink mould growing in there. Not worth the price not worth staying here at all.

Suited our purposes as a place to stop for the night.

This is a very odd motel that seems to work mostly with the coach trade. Bus loads of tourist arrived each night and were rushed out after eating a horrible, mostly cold breakfast (that includes the hot items) in the morning. I can’t recommend it. The sofa was located underneath the tv facing the beds! The beds faced the tv. There was a kettle and toaster, but no plates or cutlery. You get the idea.

It's not a new place but it's well maintained and very convenient to visit the Fjords. Very good size rooms. Thank you.

Great little hotel well situated in Te Anau to walk to town and access tours
Staff on check in/out very courteous and helpful
Rooms well appointed

We stayed 2 nights. The place was sufficient for our purposes. Unfortunately we were in the room up front and near road. The tour bus drivers apparently use this hotel too because they would fire up the busses at 7:30. Not a deal breaker but if we stayed again we would request room in back of property

Basic but comfortable, clean and nice location.. 7 min walk into town or to the lake

The property was a bit tired and out of date and needs a upgrade

The property was in a good location and was a good value. The property is a bit dated but was one of the most affordable accommodations in the town.

The room was massive and had good facilities, lots of parking and could easily walk to town.

Has the menu and management changed here? Sheesh

It was modern and clean! We loved it! Some attention needs to be given to the kitchen tap. Drips and difficult to shut off. The rest of the room was great!

The chalet style rooms were very cute and the hotel staff were friendly when we checked in. I found the parking was a little tricky as the parking lot was on an angle and the road was narrow into the lobby.

I liked everything about this place. The room was spacious and clean, the area was very quiet and peaceful, the wifi was excellent, which is always important to me.

5 minute walk to lake and also to restaurants. We ate at the Chinese restaurant at the hotel and enjoyed the fish and lamb kebabs

If you don’t like to sleep then this accommodation is for you. The fridge hummed and rattled allllll night and the front door has a pane of glass on it and a very bright light right outside. So the whole room was lit up alllll night. Multiple towels couldn’t even dim the light. And then we were given a nice housekeeping surprise at 9am. Just dandy☺️.

Place was ok, didn’t have black out curtains which was a bit annoying, had noisy neighbours with screaming kids.

Stayed in a superior twin room, which was great. Wifi was great, and the TV had Netflix and other streaming apps. A/C was excellent at keeping the room warm. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was great, except for the shower which was screwed on wrong and so the pressure was very poor. Found out in the morning and so didn't bother calling it in. But did mention at reception during checkout. Tea/coffee, and milk was provided in the fridge. Recommended stay!

Room was spacious and clean. We got a parking spot right outside the room and the best thing for us was Amazon fire stick. We were able to watch movies on Netflix. My only issue was with the shower curtain. It was dark brown color and when completely pulled shower gets really dark. Overall, good place to stay in Te Anau. Located near restaurants and shopping area and

Staff was super helpful and polite. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. Location was convenient for us- we stayed in Te Anau between hiking the Routeburn track and a small group tour of Milford Sound and it was perfect. Would stay there again!

Location good. Staff very polite, professional and friendly. Mouldy curtains (sheers) and mouldy shower screen curtain. Both with a lot of black mould.

One of the beds in the room was broken. Had to be replaced after having to sleep on it for one night.

The property is dated and needs major works to improve the quality the place can offer. Stayed with family. The facility manager was good.

The lady at reception was extremely kind and welcoming. Our room was very clean and tidy, love the updated bathroom! Very quiet area and as a light sleeper, this was perfect after a long flight and drive. The staff were so helpful! I asked for additional towels (my mistake, they were hanging up behind the door!) and a kind gentleman was round to us with them within minutes. Overall a wonderful stay and so convenient for our next stop to Milford Sound. Would definitely stay again.
