Wish I'd had an experience that lived up to the high rating. Checking in/registering was impossible - the online form they sent didn't work, and for a week I was unable to get in touch with anyone via texts, emails, or phone calls that went straight to voicemail. I tried to reserve a parking space in advance on the online form, but not until I arrived did they inform me that it didn't go through because of said online registration issues.
Additionally, the room I had (particularly the bathroom) was very poor. Despite all the heat being off the room was somehow sweltering hot, the towel rails and shower rod were loose and felt like they were going to fall off with the slightest pressure. And worst of all - the shower head was positioned only 3-4 feet off the ground, making showering an incredibly awkward and uncomfortable experience. The only thing I can think of is that it was intended to be a fully handicap bathroom, but if so and they intend to let non-handicapped people stay, there are plenty of shower fixture options that include both lower and higher shower heads to provide a quality experience for all.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming - which was very nice and appreciated. But the quality of the room means I don't plan to stay here again.

If you don't want to hear your neighbors conversations this is not the place for you. If you don't want to hear people walking about your room, this place is not for you. Location was great. If you need something during the day great but at night no one is working.

Would’ve been nice knowing that there isn’t house keeping despite having the door hanger to use to request it.

It was a wonderful stay. We’ll come back!

Very clean rooms and pleasant professional staff. Would like a walk-in shower instead of a tub

Overall, this was an enjoyable stay. However, there are a few things that could make Pilgrim House exceptional. We hope that there are some changes to celebrate the next time we visit. The concierge's desk was often absent, with staff working nearby, out of sight. The lines of communication and/or results between the concierge and the cleaning staff could improve. We arrived on a Monday afternoon and left Thursday morning. Our room was cleaned only once! There is only one person cleaning the rooms; this is certainly not her fault. We left a tip that reflected this one-time change of sheets, towels, and toiletries. Winston, the bellhop, was friendly, attentive and helpful. Meghan, the pleasant concierge, stepped in with much needed supplies when we were in need of them. The room's bathroom toilet tank is filling too slowly. Otherwise, this room and second floor's balcony were well appointed, air conditioned, comfortable and close to the hustle and bustle of Commercial Street. Thanks to Meghan for providing parking suggestions within our budget. Family Week was a wonderful time to see Provincetown. Thanks!

The Pilgrim House is a nice property located in the heart of Provincetown. The location is ideal for sightseeing and walking around town. However, the property is very old and the rooms are not all the same. Our room did not have a refrigerator or coffee maker which made the stay less than enjoyable. There is no common ice machine but the staff will get you some ice from the kitchen if you ask (they are not always around). The mattress was old and soft which made it hard to sleep. Also, they wanted to charge us $75 per day to park which we were not aware of beforehand. The staff was very nice and helpful (especially Kevin).

Nice property. First time there. We usually pick a more quiet bed and breakfast. But I was great after 1030pm
Tv issues first day but they fixed it the second.

Excellent attention and hospitality from the staff, convenient and close to the ferry docks in center of town.

Our sty was Great. Right in the heart of it all and able to walk to everywhere. Stayed in one of the new suites and would highly recommend. Nice design and space, staff was friendly and helpful.

Convenient location right in the center of downtown restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. Parking limited and significant additional cost.

Fantastic central location for walking about. Only needed to drive when wanted to sightsee otherwise all restaurants, coffee, etc were an easy walk.

The request was for a review on the check in process. To be honest, it was awkward. I stood in the entrance to the restaurant for several minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. The check in, parking and directions to our room were all unclear and rushed.

So convenient and quaint! Will definitely be booking again.

I am sorry for qualifying as a terrible experience. Not because of the facilities, staff, services, quiet, and cleanliness. It was a rough experience due to some incidents in the room in front of mine during the night, that brought police intervention to break down that door. Probably this type of incident does not happen often at that place however, to be my first stay there it was very freak out for the rest of us who tried to stay calm in our rooms while law forces did their job.

Everything was great. Nice, large room and excellent value!

Excellent communication immediately after making reservation. After hours check-in easy. Located right on Commerce Street but set back and quiet (off season). Common areas and room nicely decorated. Room spotlessly clean but showing neglect with water stain under sink, mildew stains in shower. No espresso machine in lobby as advertised nor coffee maker in room. Off season no gas stations open in early morning hours; gas up evening before early departure. Parking severely limited in Provincetown; know options before arrival. Would recommend and stay again.

Excellent Thai restaurant on the first floor, quiet room, perfect downtown location right in the middle of things.
4.0 / 5.0
It's all about the location. The room itself was underwhelming and since it was end of season the hotel seemed to be working with a skeleton crew (pun intended, but still an accurate assessment). But worth it if you simply need a place to lay your head after a night of partying.

Bed was very comfortable but could have better pillows. Ours was too soft

Pilgrim House is centrally located. Kevin is a delight! His dinner reco. Mendations were also spot on.

Property is right smack dab in the middle of Ptown central, so everything is close by. Easy walk from ferry. There's an elevator (yay!) and good AC. The bed is comfortable.
The only strange thing is there were no amenities like ice or a small fridge. No coffee maker either. Strange because there seemed to be a restaurant associated with the property that was never open. I stayed after Labor Day, which may be a factor.
Wonderful staff except for the Thursday morning guy.

The Pilgrim House staff were very warm and friendly. Unfortunately the room was very warm and unfriendly. Our AC was not working . They gave us a big fan, but it just moved around the warm air. There was another room we could move into but the AC did not work in there either. I was disappointed because I think the place is so nice and the staff were so wonderful. Fix AC and it's paradise.

I am so sorry to leave this review but the manager has dodged our in person, email and phone attempts to address a serious safety issue that occurred during our stay. I called and spoke with someone prior to our arrival to schedule our late night check in, which was confirmed via phone and email. When we arrived at 2am, there was no envelope left for us.
We called the night manager on their emergency line repeatedly but he did not pick up (an employee later told us he had taken a sleeping pill). Eventually, we looked behind the front desk and found a list of all guests and their room numbers. Further, there was a shoe box of keys for every room underneath the desk. We took the key for our room. Essentially, the only reason we did not spend the night sleeping in our car was because of these really concerning safety issues.

The entire staff went to great lengths to ensure our stay was as comfortable as could be. The food at Rosie's, the in-house restaurant, was also amazing!!! Absolutely five stars. We will definitely be coming back!

This was not the properties fault rather Expedia. I was booked in a handicap room. I was not alerted to this in advance so wasn’t able to change prior to arrival. The shower head was only able to be used at my waste. The hotel wasn’t able to move me, but was very nice and comped my parking.

It had a great rate, good location in the area where I was hanging out most, and was quick and easy check in and check out. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend stay.

Though no fault of the hotel, kids jumping upstairs until after 11:00pm was annoying.

Stayed at the hotel before. Great location. Always had good friendly service. We were welcomed by Jeremy who was lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. Great staff is crucial to a good hotel.

Jeremy at the Front Desk was so nice. He even called while I was driving to Ptown to let me know that they were looking forward to my arrival.
Lots of TV channels, huge bathroom, quiet, cozy and warm room for a rainy winter’s night.
I love the Pilgrim House.
