Breakfast n/a. Convenient to everything. Staff-David and Andrew were excellent-very welcoming and helpful. They were great resources for information on events, directions and restaurants in the area. Fellow guests friendly as well.
Only had one issue- the stairs but that was resolved by accessing the top floor through the patio rather than the internal top set of stairs. Crews Quarters doesn’t have a lot of the frills that some of the other hotels have (pool, restaurant) but I knew that in advance and was satisfied with the choices of restaurants within walking distance and the variety of beaches in the near vicinity. Had an enjoyable stay which met my needs and would come back again.

Great location and clean facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Guests were friendly and made new friends while travelling.

The staff was wonderful as is the location.
No maid service. Stayed 8 nights yet no maid service to include no sheet change out, no trash removal, no towel service.

The staff were very accommodating.
The location is excellent to get from one place to another.

Location right on Commercial Street can’t be beat ! Sailors boarding house/brothel decor is quirky and even sexy. Back porch/deck off 2cnd floor is great outdoor retreat.
Rooms can be small, even tiny, but always have interesting decor. Whole place is a little dark at night…
4.5
The place aesthetic is super cozy and charming, more than the pictures show. I overheard someone say it felt a bit like the immersive theatre experience Sleep No More but in a nice cozy way, and I agree.

Newly refurbished and remodeled guesthouse a vast improvement over past stays. So much more cleaner, nicer!
I wish the bar had a few diet choices / mixers for their drinks. Ginger Beer is great, but for those of us whom can't consume mass quantities of sugar, not so good.

Had breakfast out. All staff very helpful. Slept exceptionally well there.
I was pleased with everything.

The location was central to all events. It serves the purpose of sleeping and hygienic self care.
Rooms were presentable and clean.
I would suggest complimentary coffee and pastries. Or even just coffee.

Great location. Despite being an older property, it is well maintained and kept very clean
The rooms are very small. But the furnishings and decor add to the ambiance.

I love the proximity to absolutely everything. A convenient, centrally located spot. Helpful and kind staff. The renovation is really cute, great vibe. The social aspect of this spot is definitely a win.
Guys, AC! Even if it’s those white corner ceiling units that plug in, doesn’t have to be central air or window units. I know it’s something in the fine print that you sign up for, but still…

Location was ideal
No Air Conditioning Hot as Hell, Cramped Room, Staff rarely at Bar area

Quiet at night
Was bitten by bed bugs
3.0
The location on commercial street is great because it's close to everything (boat, restaurants, bars, shops etc).
No A/C which mean that you have to sleep the window open, as you sleep on commercial street you will have a lot of noise (truck, street cleaning etc) in the early morning. We slept really badly. Bathroom outside of the room. If you don't ask, they don't clean your room and don't change the towel (even if you stay several nights).

The location was ideal, right in the heart of commercial street! The price was also very reasonable in comparison to other places nearby. I also loved the all male, shared bathroom concept. It led to getting to know the neighbors better.
Although it was mostly fine while I was there, I could see it getting too warm in the rooms on the top floor with no air conditioning. The narrow stairs made it hard to carry luggage up to the top floor as well. There were only two outlets in my room from what I saw and the one turned off with the light switch, which made it difficult to charge my phone and ipad throughout the night or while I was out.

Excellent central location, super well curated collection of LGBTQ art and pre-mid century design. Really fun little mini cocktail bar on the lobby level, with a cool selection of drinks.
The rooms aren’t air conditioned and some get hotter than others in summer, just something to be aware of when booking. I recommend asking for one of the larger rooms.

unique style. clean. very nice friendly staff.

The ambiance, bar, and the hospitality.
There was no AC but we had a room with a window with good airflow.

Loved the masculine vibe
Good Value and Unbeatable location
Very very clean. Staff always working to keep it so.
Wonderful complimentary cocktails.
I usually book a place with a pool but actually enjoyed going to pool parties instead. Got use to the narrow stairs. Wish staff would help with luggage.

Superb restoration new owner 18 months ago, old younger returning clients, absolutely clean, quiet soundproof windows, classy, secluded deck, friendly.

Host was the best!
Very friendly people and clean rooms as well as classy interdior decoration.
Perfect located.
Should have been more obvious that this is only a mens accommondation.
Wasn't a problem though.

Loved the decor and location. Similar experience to a an eclectic AirBnB. The place is older but well kept.
Room size was smaller than typical hotels and the lighting could be a little better.

Beautiful restoration

Great location right on Commercial Street. Friendly staff, free drinks and mixers. Has a trashy but fun “gay sailor boarding house” vibe. Masks, sanitizer, and individual shower mats were around to safeguard guests from COVID.
Room was dark, dark, dark !!! Two lamps but both had “bordello red” lampshades !! Hallways were very dark, too. Had trouble finding the keyhole at night !
