The bathroom fan stopped working during our stay and we informed management. The breakfast items were a bit scared and needed refilling at 9am, even though breakfast ended at 10am. Lovely staff.

This is a very old hotel and it shows. It looks and feels shabby and dirty. At some point you can't clean nasty old carpets. There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep and non-accessible. I'd requested an accessible room due to a knee injury. We arrived around 6:30 pm. There is only one person who can check you in and he was gone when we got there. We waited nearly 20 min. Some woman stood behind the counter and awkwardly stared at us while we waited. Eventually, the man drove up in front of the hotel and came and checked us in. He put us upstairs. We asked about an accessible room. Sorry. Too bad. That was all they had. The bed was comfortable. We skipped "breakfast". It's set up directly below the open stairs. No sneeze guard. Everyone leans over the wall directly over the food. They only had a waffle maker, coffee and a few slices of stale looking bread and a toaster. It was sad looking. We would not recommend staying here unless it's the last option. The location is convenient to the beach and wildlife refuge.

The property is well located and staff is friendly and helpful. However, the carpeting in the room was filthy, breakfast items were very few. If you are just looking for a place to sleep while enjoying Chincoteague and Assateague its good enough for a fair price.

We loved the location which is very close to the State Park with Tom's cove. Which is great if you want calmer warmer water. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because the pool was so nice. Location made it more quite but yet there are places around it you can walk too. They had a continental breakfast to start the day. Hotel was clean and had easy parking! Very relaxing trip!

The service is absolutely terrible. My wife is 7 months pregnant and there was no elevator in the hotel, so she had to carry some things up a couple flights of stairs. When we entered our room there was no hand towels or toilet paper in the bathroom. We went to call the front desk only to discover the phone and alarm clock cords were cut and therefore inoperable. My wife went down to the front desk to ask for toilet paper, and the hotel manager had the nerve to say "Just wait for housekeeping and they'll give you more" before reluctantly giving her a roll. Not only did housekeeping not give us ANY toilet paper the rest of our stay, we're pretty sure they stole my wife's jewelry out of our room while we were out. She wore her jewelry once, which was on the night of our wedding (7/17/24). She removed it later that night when we got back to our room and put it back in her jewelry bag, which she kept in one of the compartments of her backpack. When we got home that jewelry bag was nowhere to be found. We called the hotel and asked them to check and see if it was "left" in our room, and they denied at least 4 or 5 times that anything was found in the room. My wife had a necklace with her name on it that was given to her by her father, who passed away when she was only 12 years old, plus her engagement ring. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Great stay! Did what I needed for a reasonable low price. Don’t expect much from the breakfast. Mostly carbs and sugary yogurt. Couldn’t believe they didn’t at least have scrambled eggs or sausage. Beds were comfy with fresh sheets, a/c, and a cold @ss mini fridge. 2 minutes walk from Mcdonalds and beach/convencience stores. Nice staff just wish they changed the sheets/towels more than every 3 days. Supposedly for energy saving. Cleanliness was ok. Could use a head to toe thorough cleaning every now and then. Stayed for 2 nights so wasn’t hateful.

Mostly comfortable. Rooms are small. Beds are right next to a/c unit. Not any fault of hotel. Rooms would be fine with 1 king bed. But 2 full size makes it hard to move with 3 people. Loved everything else. Very quiet. Perfect spot. Manager is very helpful and willing to help anyway he can.

Needs remodeling. The hotel is old, outdated, and needs a little sound-proofing. I was not happy about being given a double bed upon arrival despite my reservation being a king, but the proprietors were nice and moved us to a king the 2nd night.....but without a refund for the difference or compensation for another night in the future. Good location, and we got some good recommendations for eateries.

I was VERY disappointed with my room. I asked for a assessable/mobility room. It was advertise as having a shower chair and handheld shower wand in the shower, but I did not have either. I asked at the front desk and they said they don't have them. Another issue was getting into the building. They did have a ramp in the front to unload luggage, however I had to drive around to the back of the building to park and had NO ramp. I struggled to get up the steps. As I struggled to bring my bags to my room, the two clerks just watched me and never offered to help. I will not book with this motel again.

This hotel is in need of renovation. The bathroom door was separating and in spite of multiple screws and nails added in an apparent attempt to fix it, the door would not close except with help from a second person outside the bathroom. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned inside in awhile. There were tiny black spots in the bowl. The carpets felt sticky to a bare foot, and the curtains are not wide enough to keep the lights on the front of the hotel from steaming in the edges. The entire room felt damp in spite of the setting chosen on the air conditioner. When we arrived the air conditioner wasn’t even plugged in. The outside pool was in great condition.
