Tried the shower this morning and couldn’t get any warm water. Bed was very comfortable 😴
4.7
Lovely guest hotel with a very friendly and helpful host. But the room having a very small toilet room next door is not ensuite, the toilet roll holder was a battle to get any toilet paper and the low ceilings meant several bumped heads.
Breakfast was rather ordinary.
4.7
We found our stay at the WyCliffe Guest House to be extremely pleasant and comfortable. The manager and owner (I guess) was very nice and the breakfast was very good. We can highly recommend this accommodation and would book there again on our next visit to England.
4.7
The property was easy to get to. Breakfast was good for the price. It's close to Folkestone Harbour. The only thing we didn't like is the parking is very limited.
4.7
Staff were amazing and so were the beds in the family room. Excellent breakfast and choice. Thanks.
4.7
I can’t fault this guest house , lots of choice for breakfast and well prepared. Quite location and easy walking distance to Folkestone town centre
4.7
Only stayed one night, but it was comfortable and clean. Service was friendly and good. My only slight disappointment was that the private bathroom was separate from the bedroom, but still reserved only for us. The Hotels.com website said separate 'bedroom', not bathroom. Only a minor matter, otherwise everything good.
4.7
Haven’t stayed in a guest house for a while: how refreshing, so much better than the stale old hotel chains, et al. Lovely attentive landlady, fabulous location near sea front, dog friendly, parking outside, bar available, just smashing. Good luck in keeping places like this going, loved it. T
4.7
Great welcome by the host. Lovely big family room with lots of space for the children. Didn’t stay for breakfast as an early start home but there was a lot of choice on offer. Will definitely stay again when I revisit family who live in the town. A bonus was the private parking on grounds of the guest house as so many roads are permit only. Short walk to shops, supermarket and along the Leas overlooking the beach. Highly recommended.
4.7
Very warm welcome. The only fault with the visit was due to very noisy guests in next door room. But not the fault of the owners. Would use this guest house again.
4.7
Great place to stay for an overnight trip. The hostess was lovely and let us park early before check in. We got an upgrade too!
Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment on that, but the hotel was clean, comfortable to a very high standard, and had everything we needed. We will stay again when we are in Folkestone.
4.7
The owner was absolutely lovely. She welcomed us and our dog like family.
The hotel in a beautiful large Victorian house, the bedroom was huge with en-suite bathroom.
Everywhere spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed.
Brilliant location, 15 minutes frommain high street
4.7
The guest house is very handily located with lots of dining options a minute or two away on foot. It's also spotlessly clean and very well run. We would have rated it 5-stars but with temperatures overnight in the single digits there was no heating on in any of the common areas - including the breakfast room in the morning - which was rather surprising.
4.7
Shower temperature temperamental! But very clean comfy and quiet
4.7
Beach and City in walking distance, quiet surrounding, very good breakfast!
4.7
Great location for Eurotunnel, and has off road parking which is helpful. Pleasant check in and helpful staff member. Only issue was shower pressure, very low but still functional
4.7
Very convenient place to stay for an early start on the Eurotunnel
4.7
Great hotel, very friendly and helpful welcome when we arrived. Was able to bring the motorcycles into the garden for extra security. Would highly recommend this hotel. Tea and coffee in the room was much appreciated 👍
4.7
Lovely stay, only one night as travelling to Europe, but very friendly host who greeted us and made sure our stay was comfortable. Very peaceful area, only noise was the seagulls! Nice breakfast, we had English, but loads of other options available. Comfy bed, plenty of storage space, ensuite small but adequate. Dogs very welcome!
4.7
We had an enjoyeable stay. The staff was very kind, facilities were very good, and the guest house was located very close to some very good restaurants. My only quibble was the shower. It was almost impossible to get the water to become hot and the water had a very weak spray. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and a good nights' sleep was had by all.
4.7
Hotel is excellent and the location to the shoreline is walkable. Pretty friendly and excellent rooms.
4.7
Stayed at the Wycliffe before jumping onto the eurotunnel, rooms were clean and the landlady very friendly. Would recommend the hearty breakfast and the location 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the eurotunnel. Alltogether a good spot and was a nice rest after travelling down from Manchester before France
4.7
Easy to find. Off street parking. Friendly welcome from the hostess. Good pub Radnor Arms within a short walk. Despite being near a main road and the town centre, we had a quiet stay although we could hear electric macerators from other rooms' en suite bathrooms.
4.7
Very good place to stay when visiting Folkestone or nearby. Very clean, good breakfast with many options.
4.7
A big welcome on arrival. Our room was extremely clean, spotless even. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Also, the hotel is in close proximity to all the main features of the town.
4.7
Excellent hospitality by the hosts. They have worked very hard to ensure our maximum comfort. The hotel is kid friendly. I wanted to change the booking as our circumstances changed after we check in. The host agreed to waive the cancellation fee given our condition. The host tried all day to change it, until we figured out that its not the easiest task. They are extremely friendly and works very hard. I would recommend staying here for short stay or long.
4.7
Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great location, close to the channel tunnel and to the local shops
4.7
Great rooms location parking and really good food.
4.7
Excellant Stay, a very warm, friendly welcome on our arrival even though we we're a late evening arrival. Bteakfast was first class and cooked to perfection (full english) and good value. Lovely big Victorian House but with all modern decor and facilities. A very pleasurable if not too short a stay.
4.7
Very close to seafront and town, this is a lovely guest house. Parking on premises, a nice garden when the weather is good. Spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast and very pleasant hosts. What’s not to like?
4.7
Very warm welcome.
Room was family room and we found it excelent for our needs, small barthroom but all very clean and functional. Beds very comfortable and nice quiet room.
breakfast very organised and good quality.
4.7
Very friendly and approachable. Very good dietary wise for food intolerances. 👌
4.7
Absolutely perfect place, so friendly and accommodating.
Extremely clean amazing large rooms.
Perfect poached eggs for breakfast
.
So close to channel tunnel we will definitely be back.
Loved it!
4.7
Nice and clean, pleasant welcome. We had the family room as it was the only one available, so had plenty of room. I was very happy that there was an extra toilet along the hall, but the loo brush had seen better days!
The room was well equipped, tea & coffee but no hairdryer found. The en-suite shower room, small but perfectly clean and possibly fairly newly done.
We left early and didn't need breakfast.
4.7
Lovely guesthouse within a short walk to the beach. Had a friendly welcome, and a comfortable, cosy stay with a great breakfast.
4.7
Lovely staff and great breakfast. We were on the top floor which was tough getting our bags up. We were the only people on that floor so had the bathroom to ourselves.
4.7
Excellent service and overall as much as one can hope for from a guest house.
I suggest that the owners invest in a charging box for the parking lot. It costs a few grand and would make the guest house the top pick for electric car owners.
4.7
Nice property and neighbourhood. Very helpful owner who made good restaurant suggestions and got us out the door early before her regularly scheduled breakfast with a tasty take-out so that we could meet the ferry in Dover.
4.7
Perfectly adequate. Lovely host and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
4.7
Clean and welcoming. Few quirky issues like noisy plumbing and door locks but had a comfy night stop but had a nice comfy night stop
