There is no lift. Room was on 3rd floor. To go up with luggage was a task. Breakfast was of very poor quality. The additional amount charged for breakfast and Breakfast served was not worth.

Overall a great place to stay! The room was small but very clean. We were on the 4th floor - no elevator, lots of stairs. The street below is noisy (mostly police sirens). There is a bakery/bread shop around the corner with delicious croissants, etc. It was only a half hour walk to the Louvre. There is no hotel shuttle as listed, but Uber only cost us $50 from the airport and $35 back. It is close to a metro stop which takes you anywhere you want to go around the city. Front desk staff spoke English & were very nice. Plenty of hot water and good wifi.

Just a room for the night. Friendly, but dont expect muct comfort or luxury. Small rooms. No elevator. Even smaller bathroom. No AC. TV was a 14 inch in the top corner. Window was to a 4 foot shaft. It was pretty quiet at night, which was good.

Convenient to Gare de l'est railway station so convenient for a short overnight stay. However, as per the sign at the entrance it is tated 1 star and it shows. Very small room suited to 1 person and it has seen better days. Too bad if you have a lot of luggage as there is no lift, just a tight spiral staircase. Too bad if you are on the 5th floor! It is cheap for Paris though.

Nice place for the money.

The Hotel is basic.
Reception team were very friendly.
Rooms are small but they are fairly ok.
Roads around the Hotel are very busy with lots of people, are just hanging around doing nothing which everyday and noght and it was a bit intimidating especially if you are a single female or with kids.
Only because of this reason i wont be choosing this location for any future trip. We felt we might get mugged at anytime which was unsetteling.

efficient, practical and great location

The already basic images don’t do the state of this place justice, the rooms are dirty, there were yellow sweat stains on the pillows, the mattresses were 5” thin and on some sort of fold out frame
I had to leave, as it resembled more a hourly place
The hallways were dirty and rugs torn
After I told the receptionist, I would like my money back minus cancellation fee, he just shrugged and told me to take it up with Expedia, after he cancelled that reservation to give me “a better price”
I don’t like to write negative reviews, but in this case there was nothing positive to report

great place for the price. friendly people at the desk

I love this hotel - friendly staff, a good breakfast to start the day and you can walk to plenty of great places from here

room with bad on 6th floor no lift

Minus the lack of elevator (stated in hotel listing) Jarry'sa great budget option in Paris city centre

Didnt realise nonelevatore thougg it was in the lisitng. My bad

The location was good and the staff also.
I was pleasantly surprised with the key card lock.
However, the room I was in had a damaged flush for the toilet and the shower mount was unusable as it was wrongly fixed to the wall.
3.4
The receptionist is friendly but the hotel itself is nothing to write home about a very narrow spiral staircase to 6 floor no lift plus a very dirty surroundings

Simple, but very clean. For a short one night stay just perfect!

Stayed there for 2 nights . Everything was okay except without elevator . Guests with heavy and bulky baggage should ask for a room on lower floor . Hotel staff was helpful and accommodating . Breakfast included was the bonus . The other good thing about the hotel is being close to the Gare de Est . All in all , the hotel is ideal for one or 2 night stay in transit in Paris .

Apart from being close to the popular Rue Saint Denis, this hotel is no good by all accounts. Staff are hardly helpful, housekeeping is primitive, they forget to clean the room, and when they do, they forget to provide basic things such as clean towels or even shampoo. There is NO fridge, the safe doesn't work, the room is very small, the shower room is very tiny, you cannot even move your hands or use the toilet if you shut the door. On the top of that the hotel does not allow visitors and if you come late you are questioned by the night guy and you have to provide a proof that you are a resident.... I would never go there again if they pay me!!!
3.4
The location was a little scary, yet close to transport. Hôtel is close to Gate Du Nord, 15 min. walk. Room was small, yet clean. Breakfast is extra payment.
3.4
Friendly staffs but the room I was assigned to has no air conditioning when I was a hot weather!

Our flight was delayed, and when we arrived at the hotel the receptionist said there was no room for us anymore. He said we had to look for another hotel (at midnight, and very tired from a delayed flight). He said he sent us a message warning us when we were IN the flight, so obviously we could not answer. After a lot of talking, he actually had a room for us. Yes, at first he was throwing us off the hotel, half an hour later there was a room. I think the receptionist wanted to sleep, and didnt care for us. Also, the neighborhood is not good and the rooms are very hot for a summer day.

We had room in the 6th floor and no elevator, luckily we had backpacks and good physical health so this was a good exercise. Travels with my 9 yo daughter and fun suprise in the room: the bathroom was purple and had pink toilet paper!
1 hour from the main attractions by foot, 30 minutes with the metro which was very easy to use (but need to buy tickets or card, can’t use contactless).
Great Afroamerican street with friendly people.
Service was good and the receptionist talked English.
The comfort could be better, the bed was a bit tough, I could feel the bed under the mattress (and I’m not a big woman).
For the price I would perhaps use this hotel next time as well.

amazing for the price!!!

Great location and staff was nice.
Everything about the room was pretty awful.
3.4
No elevator. Rooms too small. Should be renewed because is too old.
3.4
Worse stay ever. The property doesn’t look like nothing that was advertised on the pictures, it was way smaller and was not in nice condition and very old. I stayed up all night and didn’t even showered.
This should not be on Expedia and should be checked out because not worse the price they ask for at all
3.4
Clean, with friendly staff. Within walking distance to Gare du Nord, which is handy. Bed was remarkably uncomfortable, with hard, lumpy pillows!
3.4
The check-in process was very easy and the hotel was a nice, cheap stay in Paris.
3.4
The room and bathroom is very small.

First room we were offered was on 5 th floor of very narrow spiral staircase. Dirty and unkempt. The room was awful with a very old stained bath and dreadful looking shower head. A wet towel hanging on the radiator. After requesting another room we were put on the 3rd floor. Room very dated and grubby. Sheets and towels were clean and bathroom was clean although the whole room was dirty. The curtains were stained and of extremely poor quality. The area did not feel safe with drunks loitering about the door of hotel. There was no lift and if there had been a fire there was no way out. My advice is do not stay there!

A very clean and comfortable stay with very friendly and helpful staff. Very basic accommodation but that’s what you expect with a one star hotel. The street outside was very noisy at night but that was easily rectified by closing the windows. Mattress was very comfortable and some more expensive hotels have had far worse quality. So felt good value for money overall, but if you want something higher quality then you need to pay more - this was by far the cheapest hotel we could find in central Paris for a 5 night stay

Hôtel Jarry is perfect for a one-night stay. We came to Paris for a concert and had to leave in the morning so being close to Gare du Nord was our deciding factor when choosing this hotel. The staff were polite and agreeable; check in was quick. There is no lift and a spiral staircase, which wasn’t ideal but fine for us. The room is small and better. For a solo traveller. The bed was very hard but the sheets and pillows fine. There was a large (for Paris) bathroom, to our surprise, though no vents/air circulation a part from opening a window. The soundproofing was ok; the worst of it was hearing everyone on the stairs all the time, especially early morning. We probably won’t stay again but felt it worked for our needs.
3.4
The only reason I would stay in a place like that is because of its location, 9 mins walk from Gare du Nord where I had to take my train back early in the morning. So, quite handy.
The hotel itself is super dirty, the room was that bad but in the hallway, stairs, etc... not nice. Bear in mind, no lift either and I had to carry my really heavy suitcase 5 floors up. TV didn't work, TV remote control broken plus other few things I decided not to look at. But it was very cheap for Paris, so you get what you pay for.

This is an honest review from a frequent world traveler. First and foremost the Hotel and Room were clean and the staff was professional and very helpful.
The hotel is in a very centric Paris location (I lived in Paris for 5 years) however it's located precisely at the borderline between 10th Arr just north of the 2nd Arr which is not a very nice area, if you haven't been to paris, this could be intimidating. If you are staying at Jarry and planning to take subway, they are two close Metro stations Chateau De l'eau and Strasbourg St. Denis, I would suggest to avoid walking towards Chateau de l'eau or anywhere east of the hotel, stick to the south or west. It's not necessarly unsafe, just pointing out this is not a family touring area and it's noisy , particularly at night.
Hotel is old and a bit run down, but given the limited choices you have in Paris for budget hotels is not too bad. Like I mentioned earlier, Hotel is clean and Staff are very nice and the free WiFi worked fairly well.

While at budget price, this spot was still quite underwhelming. A most compact room, the bath was an adventure to get in to sit on the throne, not for a large person, for one of 170 pound build on a 6 foot frame. TIGHT is the solitary description.
Little ventilation, the oscillating fan had knobs falling off, & ran in reverse, requiring to point it against the wall to get ventilation.

Was disappointed cause the real thing is far from what was depicted by the pictures. Hotel was very old and a bit shabby. The only good thing is the price. 5/10.
