Lovely, clean room over the pub. Good choice of breakfast- cooked to order.

We had a great stay here at the weekend. We were only there one night as we had a wedding to attend nearby. The staff are brilliant, so helpful and friendly even let us check-in early. Room was perfect. Car parking so easy. Shame we couldn’t have spent longer there. Would definitely use again if in Cambridge.

A lovely stay, the room and linen smelt fresh and clean. Thanks for the toiletries and treats with the tea/coffee/hot choc. Having a fan in the room was fabulous as we needed to keep the windows closed to limit the traffic noise. Friendly staff and very accommodating with parking allowance on our check-out day. Thank you, we will return. 👍

The Earl of Derby Pub is a friendly local establishment with good food, and very nice accommodations. Spacious room, lovely bathroom, very clean, and very friendly. Will definitely come back.

A bit disappointed with the service, i booked this hotel for 2 nights for 3 people, after booking i phoned the property and requested 3 single beds, the woman i spoke to said we will have a room with 3 singles beds, when the lads got there the room had a double and a single, not happy

Excellent stay at the earl of derby friendly staff and comfortable nights sleep thanks again would definitely stay again

Staffs are pretty friendly, the parking lot is isolated and safe. Night food for downstairs bar. the only issue is the room is a little small.
4.2
Very nice place- everything clean, comfortable bed, nice staff. It is very close to the busy road though so earplugs are a must.

Extremely good service.

The staff is wonderful. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The Inn seems to have a festive atmosphere about it. And! The food is fantastic!

Had a great welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

Very friendly, a bit noisy on weekends. Close to transportation.

We had a good night and will be happy to book again

Bit out of the way but served its purpose

The rooms are located overlooking their private car park (which is barrier code-controlled) and felt both secure and surprisingly quiet. The hotel were very helpful by letting me leave the car for a few hours after the room had been vacated. I'd happily stay again.
4.2
Fairly busy area but it got quiet later in the evening for sleeping. Otherwise, I recommend for pleasant, convenient accommodations.

Great locations and really friendly staff. Lovely pub and we really enjoyed our stay.
4.2
Perfect location. Just a few monutes from the train station.

Second time we have stayed as handy for my Papworth appts. This time mattress needs replacing, we did inform staff & it was noted. They don’t know unless it’s reported, but otherwise & enjoyable stay. Nice atmosphere in pub with very friendly staff.

Very friendly staff.

Lovely little place perfect for sightseeing around Cambridge, own on site parking which is a big plus, nice staff who look after you. Would visit again

This place has wonderful character and the staff were great. The only thing I can possibly fault them on is the condition of the rooms as they are older and the surrounding noise BUT that should not dissuade you. The rooms are very clean and the windows are very good at keeping the noise out when closed.

other than the false fire alarms in midnight, the experience was fine.

Was looking for budget accommodation with parking whilst visiting Cambridge Universities with our daughter.Proper pub as I knew in the eighties nit a thing of beauty nor high end but a joy to behold.Very popular with local workmen it seems for their breakfasts, horse racing and football /rugby enthusiasts.Full english very reasonable at Pnds 7.5 .20 minute walk to market square so a good base to explore from and many restaurants nearby plus a convenience store next door.Landlord very helpful and let us to leave out vehicle parked there the day we checked out until late afternoon .
Triple room in adjoining building basic but clean -it was warm so we needed to use a fan provided which unfortunately squeaked as it rotated.
4.2
Excellent location and only a short walk into the center of Cambridge. Friendly staff and ideal room with plenty of space for parent and teenagers.
Felt very safe and the car parking on site was a great bonus for ease and peace of mind. Will definitely stay again if visiting Cambridge.

Unruly guests made for a terrible night sleep.
Housekeeping needs to improve. Food was good, staff was friendly. Best of luck to the aspiring musician.

The food was excellent. We had a full English breakfast in the morning and it was delicious and reasonably priced. We ate dinner there one night and that was good as well. The staff people were awesome. The rooms are next to the beer garden so there can be a little noise until the pub stops serving, but it wasn't bad at all for us even having the window open. It is very close to the train station and bus stops.

One of the mattresses in our room was in terrible shape. The centre of the mattress was basically collapsed. The room was a little “weary”.

Manager was kind enough to let me check in at 2AM despite normally only allowing until 11:30PM

Great location - near station (walking distance)
Free car park
Greeted by friendly gentleman who showed me to my room & passed on all info well
Large room with nice bathroom
Only improvement would’ve been a fridge and microwave in the room

Great location. On-site parking. Lovely breakfast. Comfy beds.

I often visit Cambridge on business from abroad, and have a limited budget, which often leads to me staying in allegedly quaint bed and breakfasts that inevitably have unpleasant surprises such as shared toilets.
This was my first time staying at The Earl Derby, and I can say that for the price, this pleasant tavern by the train station is fantastic. The staff are great, if you are hungry you can pop down to the pub and be treated to interesting Portuguese-inspired foods from Madeira. The place is quiet and has large rooms with nice bathrooms. Definitely a gem.

Friendly, helpful, and cleaned hotel. I very recommend it for couples or solo. Thank you for having us.

We loved this place! The staff was amazingly friendly. Beds were comfortable, the food was amazing, and you just had the feel of being welcomed. They even had a beer garden and bbq the night we were there. Would definitely recommend! Loved it!

The unfriendly woman first told me that they didn't have our reservation for two rooms. Then when I provided proof, another woman stepped in and helped us find our rooms. Unfortunately the room we were in was on the street and very loud. You had to keep the shades down in the bathroom or offer a free show to buses going by! The breakfast turned out to be not included...but that wasn't obvious from the paperwork and hotel signage. It was all very disorganized and not very friendly.

15 - 20 min walk into central Cambridge, Food in pub nice both dinner and breakfast. After resolving accessible shower issue, all was great, staff friendly and helpful

Thought we had booked for B&B, however when we got our receipt it was for room only! On our second day the room was never made up and we made our own bed and washed our own cups etc. Not at all what we expected and were very disappointed!! Will not be going back
