Perfect location as it is right next to Leiden station but the staff at reception are very disorganised and don’t seem to know what they are doing or how to do the tasks assigned to them with people giving different information.

I was aorehensive and considered cancelling because of a handful of poor reviews. I was delighted I ignored these. The swimming pool requires swimwear before 9.30. I did not go to the Spa as I was at work. The staff were very generous in their helpfulness. The hotel is very safe. Our view was wonderful. The room was ample. The hotel is just to the left of the railway station exit towards the city.
I struggle to understand any negative reviews-our experience was excellent. I'd certainly go again.

Hotel is not safe as you can reach the rooms without passing by the reception from the train station, the cleanliness of the bed was not so good ,also the staff was not helpful at all ,I forgot one T-shirt after I checked out in the wardrobe and it disappeared after the cleaning people access the room , also the staff was not responding through emails or phone.

Didn’t like reception on 12th Floor, I asked for the invoice when I paid because I was checking out very early in the morning but I was told they would print out the invoice when I checked out, when I came to reception at 06:40am the door was locked and I had to bang on the Windows

Comfortable and great stay!
3.8
That they have a pool is very misleading when you can only use it from 8-9:30 in the morning! Very hard to understand how tò get to reception and what door to walk in to find the right entrance.
3.8
Very conveniently located just outside of Leiden Central station. Rooms are clean, large and good value for the price paid. Only downside is that the hotel is located in a commercial building shared with other offices, which means anyone can access the floors for the hotel rooms.
3.8
Very bad. Dirty bathroom and no water in the shower.
3.8
The price was more than the value. Room was comfortable but a bit quirky. We did not like the layout of one of our rooms. We had three rooms as it was a family vacation. Reception was on 12th floor. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The kitchen had sink and refrigerator but no microwave. Extra fee for additional in room coffee pods. Wellness center is an all nude affair. The family was surprised by this but we got a good laugh. It’s not part of our custom. Again, the staff was exceptionally helpful as we were a small group that included an infant.

Stayed to take part in the Leiden Marathon.
Location is great, adjacent to the station.
Check-in was very quick, and they let us keep our luggage in the hotel before formal check-in.
Originally had a large corner room with plenty of space.
Unfortunately, the ceiling started leaking which we informed reception about. They were very polite and apologetic and offered to upgrade our room, however this was actually just a room transfer to a smaller room.
No toiletries were provided aside from basic soap and towels for cleaning in either room (no shampoo & conditioner).
The pool facilities are only available from 8-930, after which you must pay an entry fee, which was not clear.
Spa facilities were very comprehensive and clean.
Would recommend this but be aware of additional payments. Lovely stay just wish we had known about spa/room amenities beforehand.

We didn't feel hospitality with them.
Passersby could come directly to the door of the hotel room, which I felt was unsafe.

Terrible internet but great lication

Nothing went well at my visit to the Fletcher Hotel except the pool (only 8-9:30 free access for guest)
The room wasn’t clean properly, still rubbish from the previous guest in the bin. The soap dispenser in the shower was removed, I have to ask for some soap to shower. The fridge disconnects when you leave the room since you need to take the card with you, I thought fridges were supposed to be in ALL the time otherwise food will go bad, I asked for an extra card to leave it on, guess what the cleaner person removed so when I came back the fridge was off, a potential food poisoning opportunity. The phone in the room didn’t work so every time I have to walk to reception to complaint and ask for things. Some of the girls at reception were not useful at all.
I emailed the Fletcher hotel and chain, still waiting for a response. I think I should be entitled a refund

amazing facility with a great view over the Leiden skyline with its distinctive churches from the swimming pool at the 11th floor.

Great location

enjoyed my stay.
Only negative is that wish the pool was open longer hours for guests

Room was not cleaned one day. Promised a discount but never contacted by management. Key cards had to be constantly rekeyed for the keys we had for the room. Spa area was wet nice

Our stay was adequate. The set up is a bit bizarre. The hotel is on a few floors of a business building and not terribly secure imo. There’s no lobby per se, only a reception area on the 12th floor. The room was large and the bed was comfortable, though not terribly clean (e.g., coffee stains down the wall, dingy towels that were small and didn’t smell fresh). The toilet was right next to the bed and there was only one door for the toilet and shower, meaning only one could have a door closed at a time (read: limited privacy). The room was freezing and the thermostat was meaningless—I was given a space heater to warm it (was 60 degrees in the room at one point). The breakfast was excellent as was the location—just steps from Leiden train station.

The spa is not included, the pool is only open to guests from 8am to 930am, and the SPA is nude, its not 100% clear when you are looking. Bathing suites are not allowed.
3.8
The room is great, comfortable large bed, wonderful shower, great view and good location. Service at front desk is weak, sometimes the wait times are very, very long to check in or even to ask a question. Disorganized because they also service the spa. Most staff are unfriendly and uninformed, unless you are lucky enough to get Flora.

During check-out, I was charged a room rate that was significantly higher than the online booking price. It was only afterward that I realized the mistake and had to return to the hotel to have it corrected. It was a truly disappointing and careless experience. Otherwise, my room was okay.
3.8
I encountered a very careless and unprofessional front desk lady. I extended my stay for an extra night and specifically requested her to update my room key to prevent it from becoming inactive. After checking, she assured me that the matter had been taken care of and there was no need to update the room key. However, when I returned to my room in the afternoon, I couldn't access it as expected. I had to walk a long way back to the front desk to have the issue resolved. Otherwise, the hotel location is good.

It was nice price including breakfast!

The hotel was very nice and the location too.
Not very helpful for the early checking .
The spa should be included in the amenities for guests .

Difficult to find ...had to ask locals for directions. Dont use if your not okay with nudity...you can only use pool at set time. All other sevices chargeable and you cant wear bathing costumes. TV remote broke....phone didnt Dont work...reception located on the 12th floor not good for my hubby with limited mobilty.
3.8
The hotel was very nice and close to amenities
The pool was amazing, but could only be used til 9:30 in the morning as it was open as a spa at 10, and bathing suits not worn…. I am not comfortable going like that, or I would have been happy to spend the day there

House keeping staff left much to be desired, but receptionists were all great, professional and responded promptly to my complaints. House keeping staff put soiled (blood-stained) or worn out sheets on my bed. Although the sheets were pressed, it was unacceptable that they did not notice the stains on them. They also failed to clean the room , collect the trash or replace the coffee pods/coffee cups on several occasions — One house keeper in particular was rude and raised his voice when I faked for unstained pillows & duvet (the ones already in the room were badly solved). House keeping staff need done training in customer service and the basic duties of their job. Otherwise, very nice property with a terrific view of the city,

Rooms lack general tidiness. Our room had a completely broken window which the staff was unable to fix. We could have changed rooms after two nights which we declined but no other compensation, not even a free drink was offered.
3.8
Nice hotel but pretty average experience. Couldn’t get the little things right. The reception is a all over the place with everyone trying to get into the pool area. Our door card got deactivated randomly a few times. Our bags were supposed to be brought to our rooms and wasn’t. There was no soap in our room. Great location though and comfortable bed
3.8
Think long before you book here. Other than the spa there is little to recommend it
3.8
The hotel is spread across two buildings requiring us to go down by elevator walk across the building then go back up. The suite room we booked had no more furniture than a std just more floor space. I used the laundry twice twice I was given the wrong laundry and one time a shirt was lost. It was eventually returned after much protestation. The pool is.o ly accessible by hotel guests 8.30 to 9.30 am. Otherwise you need to pay a spa fee. Breakfast was vet basic and often seemed out of certain selections. The wellness center was nice but fairly crowded when we used it

Clean and nice

I enjoyed a couple of nights at this hotel in Leiden. I caught up with some friends in Leiden and took trips to an Art Galley in Den Haag and to see an Opera in Amsterdam. The hotel is handily located near the train station to facilitate those trips
3.8
The overall upkeep is good. For us Indians preferring vegetarian food, we are left with very little options.
3.8
Very convenient for travel. Staff excellent and friendly. Breakfast good. Bed comfortable. Did not like shower door.
3.8
Uncomfortable bed and pillows, swimming pool available to hotel residents only at breakfast time. Finding my room at the 11th floor was a challenge… I felt lost in the maze… wouldn’t go back there I’m afraid

The location of the property is perfect ! Parking on site if your not a local with Dutch cards ! Not good! Can’t pay in cash or UK debit card, rooms really strange regular room if curtains aren’t closed other rooms will look into your room, location great and it ends there! I can’t judge more expensive rooms or restaurant as did not use.
