A lovely place to stay in Martinborough. The staff in the bistro and bar were just so lovely and we had a great stay, thank you.

Good place to stay, priced on the higher side, not sure it is worth the rate, however, enjoyable.

We didnt enjoy the non black out curtains as we saw the sensor street light going on and off even 10 seconds maybe something setting the sensor off.
The room was quirky, warm and really cool. It was a beautiful and amazing building. Single glazed windows were chilly and noisey though. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the outside of the building was getting a paint job and looked fresh.

Excellent place to relax and feel special. Just what we needed and we will go again.

Pleasant room. Missed a smart TV

Lovely stay. Staff friendly and helpful

The location is good, being in the centre of the town and within walking distance of most things. However, the garden suites are very expensive —over $800 for two nights!! We had a suite with another room on top, which was very noisy. The people upstairs banged and crashed around both nights, and there is a very thin roof between the two rooms. Avoid being in these rooms under the upstairs.

A quaint historic hotel in great condition run by excellent staff, close to wineries (a block away!).

A lovely little hotel in an old fashioned style. The rooms were spacious with their own balcony facing the garden.

Best location. A bit noisy at night. Completely modern, clean, spacious.

Lovely room and beautiful old building but a sloping floor is not great. A nice stay otherwise.

Great propert with lots of history
WiFi wasn’t working in the room

If your room is in the main part of the hotel there is no air conditioning, the bar across the road is noisy and the hotel next door is also noisy if there is a function on. The restaurant food is bland and overpriced, the waiters are super nice but the restaurant manager is grumpy and doesn’t acknowledge you.

Old hotel with comfortable trappings , excellent dining and bar facilities

dining options around us did not have a good expereance the first night at the hotel there for we ate out found a great place round the corner called TONIC BISTRO AND BAR the host was great the food was great the overall night was relaxed so good we did not go anywhere else to eat while we were there THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO EAT OR FOR A RELAXED DRINK IN MARTINBOROUGH A MUST TRY WHEN IN MARTINBOROUGH

Beautiful rooms, well appointed, spotlessly vlean and a fantastic location but thecesr plugs ard there for a reason. Its a lovely old building with lots of original features including a lag of sound-proofing of double glazing. But the place has so many pros, this minor con doesn't stop me recommending it.

Stayed in lovely bedroom. Very upscale.

We were disappointed to find a tiled floor in the shower with no mat that we could fin to prevent slipping. The noise from the next unit was loud as the showers were used after 10 pm . The electric blankets were not efficient and took a long time to heat up. The toilet cistern did not close off .

The hotel is beautiful. A great central location right near all the cafes and restaurants that Martinborough has to offer. You can take a short stroll or hire a bike to get to the nearby vineyards. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and offer great advice about the local area.

We loved the old world charm of the property-great history through out. Unfortunately when you stay in the upstairs rooms it is very loud with a bar over the street.
