We loved our stay! Had a wonderful dinner and had an amazing night sleep!

Excellent stay. The reception desk and staff at bar was very friendly. I had my hot chocolate during aurora show with me and it hot cold, the girl at bar happily warmed it up for me. They provide wake up calls for aurora viewing. The rooms have a view. We could see aurora without being in the cold. Super happy with the stay.

Wonderful location and very nice and clean.

Lovely hotel — the room was clean and spacious with a nice view, and dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent. A perfect location to stay on our way to Vatnajökull National Park.

My family enjoyed good dinner and a birthday chocolate cake on the Fosshotel Núpar’s romantic restaurant.

It’s great that there is a restaurant at the location. Breakfast was GREAT. Worth the extra $$

The door to our patio was broken and couldnt use it which was super frustrating. The bathroom felt like a prison - lighting was extremely bright and the shower was gnarly. Super overpriced for what you get but not many other options in the area…

Hotel is very remote which makes it a neat experience. Feedback for the management would only be that the rooms are tired. Drywall patches, cords having everywhere, sheets felt pilled. Staff were lovely and the food was great, but again I think the rooms are ready for a refresh.

Room was clean, but a little beat up with wall patches. Small deck attached to the room. Nice bathroom. Dinner options good and a good breakfast.

This hotel looks very nice from the photos, which is why we booked it! Unfortunately, the only thing nice about this hotel is the photos and buffet/restaurant rooms. The individual guest rooms need a LOT of work. Room 46 was where we stayed and the sheets were stained, there was hair in the blankets, and we woke up multiple times in the middle of the night feeling very itchy. There was questionable wiring from the television down to the electrical outlet and multiple holes all over the walls from where lamps and decor were hung and then moved. The room was also incredibly HOT, even with the thermostat turned off and the window open all night. DO NOT STAY IN SUMMER MONTHS!!!! There are no black out curtains just a roller shade which does not filter out all light. It was VERY bright. Beautiful views of the mossy lava fields surround the hotel but there is no privacy as people walk around and in front of the patios to each room. It is very noisy, too and the walls are very thin. You can hear your neighbors sneeze.

This hotel is not worth the money. It looks good from the outside but the hotel is not constructed well - looks half finished - and worst of all, it is not well maintained / cleaned. 2 of the 3 rooms we booked had moldy bathrooms - one which smelled so bad we had to ask for a room change. Stay away if you have different options in the area. Not worth it!

Great place to rest and breakfast was delicious

Very beautiful and spacious! We were pleasantly upgraded with a view of the mountains. Would definitely stay again while in Iceland.

Beautiful hotel with great service.

Nice clean and simple place. Lovely receptionists, nice to be able to checjin and eat late, food was good and the room was nice. Nothing fancy but very nice overall. We had a room with a little patio and access to the wild fields and at night we saw the northern lights. Make sure to draw your curtains or turn out the lights in the evening to give others the chance to enjoy the lights as well.

Chose this hotel for the location. It was pricey and rooms were small but the hotel overall was great.

Ok spot

Great area for catching the northern lights. We stayed two nights but the area is easily seen in one night if you’re trying to see the whole island!
4.1
Clean hotel. Rude, inhospitable staff at check-in and in the restaurant. Would not recommend. I recommend staying at Hotel Laki or a guesthouse for a pleasant experience!

Stopped here on a drive of southern iceland. Great hotel and vibe. Loved the scenic views. Front desk was great. Room was comfy and had no issues.

Stayed two nights over the week. Musty room heading east but clean bathroom, clean room but very moldy and stinky bathroom headed back west. The vent didn't seem to draw out air. Yes, it needs renovated big-time. Door on second night would not latch and had crack in window. Beds were clean. Included breakfast at the other hotels put the expensive one here to shame.

The whole place felt like it needed an update. Our bathroom had a lot of built up grime in the shower and sink and the toilet seat was cracked. They never replied to my Expedia message before we arrived and said it wasn’t possible for us to have our beds made up as a double. Overall a very disappointing stay.

Hotel from the outside is modern but once you go in the room it was dirty. The mirror in the bathroom had a big scratch across the glass. The shower was extremely dirty and door knob always came off. The bed linens were stained and had hair everywhere. Some lamps on the rooms didn’t have light bulbs. Overall experience, my husband and I will not return.

Great location. Rooms where no clean. Stained box springs and the feeling is sleeping in a shipping container. Rooms are worn.
4.1
Great place to stay for the night. Dinner was fabulous but breakfast was just ok. It was busy so noisier than I thought it would be. There seems to be ALOT of visitors in late September.

Very nice hotel with two different restaurant options. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great option to stay if visiting the Skaftafell area. We were fortunate to see the Northern Lights on our night there!!!

Room was clean and beds comfortable and convenient to airport. Shower sprayed all over the bathroom and woke up to no power in the room in morning. Had to get ready in the dark for an early morning flight. No one available to assist.

Great hotel if you want to explore the area between Vik and glacier lagoon

Amazing view of open fields from the room!
