Remarkable 200 year old hotel .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I stay in NOLA occasionally for business. The “meeting hotel” is large & chainy on Canal St. I much prefer this charm & a nice morning walk to my day’s meetings. Close to French Qtr wo all the noise (so quiet!). Friendly staff, beautiful “lobby” that’s like your own mansion with fireplace, Mardi Gras beads, & a lovely coffee bar area with snacks, clementines, biscotti & a mini fridge with bottled water 24/7. I was kindly upgraded to a room with living on main floor with courtyard door & bedroom upstairs. It’s amazing I ever left for work! Bed/linens SO comfy. My last night I enjoyed some wine with the courtyard door open listening to the pool fountain & wind in the trees. This is New Orleans charm through & through. Tiny recommendation for room 103, the ceiling over main bath needs a quick wipe down. When I return to NOLA I’d pick this gem for sure. Thanks for a relaxing few days away from the office!

Amazing room in an amazing building. Will definitely be back.

Great French Quarter location. One block from Bourbon St but we didn’t find it too loud as long as your room is not on the street side. There are interior rooms facing the courtyards that are quieter. So much character and history to this hotel. We loved it!

I stayed in a room in the front of the hotel. There were loud noises that constantly woke us up. I would suggest a room in the back of the hotel if you wish to stay there. The bathroom had zero toiletries. Not even a bar of soap. Soap was provided on request. The shower curtain was mildewed causing the bathroom to smell. Also the tub did not drain well after taking a shower.
The location itself is quaint for the quarter. They did have complimentary water bottles and coffee in the lobby area.

When viewing most hotels online the pictures always make the property look better than in person. While the photos on Hotels.com were appealing they do not do this hotel justice. It was absolutely amazing! All the best NOLA vibes!

This a great example of a historic boutique hotel. Each room is different and only the bathroom amenities and windows have been modernized. It is a confusing hodge-podge of rooms and corridors to find the tiny elevator and your room. The WiFi and TV were great. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and the location less than a block from Bourbon Street and a short walk to Jackson Square can't be beat. Just make sure that, unlike us, you don't come for the weekend when Taylor Swift is performing 3 shows in the Superdome. The prices were sky-high (at all hotels) and the attractions and restaurants were extremely busy.

I’ve stayed here many times, and it is always exceptional! Such a unique and beautiful hotel.

I just love this hotel. The alleys and courtyards are so cool.

the Olivier House is beautiful. we had room 111 (a loft room) and it was so awesome. the whole property is so cool. the outside is deceiving, the property is HUGE! It’s an older establishment like most of the french quarter, but would rather stay here than any of the “chain” hotels. the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. free coffee (regular and espresso!) and water for guests. the lobby cats are also very sweet and welcoming. the pool is gorgeous and just what we needed after walking around (still humid here in LA in sept 😂) each room has individual aesthetic, you feel like you are staying in a plantation home. you definitely want to stay here to get the whole NOLA experience. and location is absolutely perfect. you are almost smack dab in the middle of the french quarter. i can see why people say they will only stay here from now on. we were so impressed 💖

This beautiful hotel was absolutely the best hotel we've ever been to. Will certainly wanna go back to spend another vacation there. We were able to see all the rooms and were able to choose which one we want to stay. Each room were different and we found it very difficult to choose the one we wanted as they all were so lovely, so nicely decorated. Beds were very very good. In the lobby, there was coffee, tea, muffins, cookie etc and if you wanted to have a special coffee (espresso, cappucino etc) the staff made it for you and there was also speacial syraps to add to coffee and all of these were for free. Staff was always very nice and helpful, especially all men. Many thanks to them all for everything. Best regards from Finland!

The property was very unique and quiet. Super close to all the activities. Old school vibes in the new age.

They provided free bottled water and excellent espresso. Everyone who we encountered and it was many, they were all exceptional, very friendly. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

I liked the lobby and old style feel, but our room had torn curtins and the bolts on the balcony were pulling out of the wall so we couldn't use it for safety reasons. Definitely in need of some repairs to property.

So glad we decided to book this gorgeous hotel for our New Orleans trip. It is very old world beautiful, with lots of quirky and thoughtful touches throughout. The location couldn't be better for access to the main tourist stuff, and the staff were super helpful and great for local recommendations.

I thought the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. It was really nice to have the cats around and coffee/snacks. However, our room was in need of some repairs. The couch was very old, looked as though it had never been cleaned, and was very uncomfortable to sit on. It is a beautiful property, but there were many areas which needed repair. For example, our bathroom faucet was broken and the roof leaked in the common area. The housekeeping would make the bed and change the towels, but left the rest of the room untouched. I realize it’s only a 2 star property but I expected a bit better.

Loved the "old place", you could get lost going from room to room and around the court yards, everything I'd like to experience in New Orleans.
Staff was wonderful, loved our stay !!

We loved this really old building in the heart of the French Quarter, the cats in the lobby, the lounge with coffee and snacks. Fun and pleasant place.

Location was unbeatable, only a block away from bourbon street. Service was fantastic, got upgraded for free. Historic but gorgeous building with unique rooms, felt like we were royalty living at the guesthouse in a french castle. Wouldn't want to book anywhere else for our next NOLA trip.

Near Bourbon Street. Friendly staff and people…cozy room out of the norm…enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property, would definitely stay again. The only downside is the French Quarter isn’t managed well enough. It would be nice to see New Orleans close off the streets at night for the public in the French quarter. Too much unnecessary car noise.
That was the only negative.

Historic, beautiful, and unique home. Staff was super friendly. Valet parking was nice! Our new cat friends, including the employee of the month, made the stay that much better :-) Looking forward to returning next year.

We had a wonderful experience! Staff was very friendly and helpful, reliable valet parking, the location is unbeatable if you want a good walkable French Quarter experience. Probably a 1 minute walk from Bourbon St but just far enough that the music wasn’t overwhelming at night. Plus, the lobby cats took it all to the next level. Just a great all around experience, and if we come back to New Orleans in the future we would absolutely stay here again!

Unique property and rooms. One of a kind and was more than I hoped to experience on this trip

Olivier House feels like home away from home. Its cozy, New Orleans feel and not a box hotel. The courtyard and pool are beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. From inside our room we can't hear all the noise of the city, but the view is nice and lots of greenery on the property. Coffee is great, the people are great. Strongly recommend!

This was probably the most unique hotel experience my wife and I have had. The rooms were clean and had such incredible charm. The hotel staff were friendly and very professional. We will definitely be returning to this one.
