Such a charming little place! We walked into our room and it smelled like it had just been scrubbed from floor to ceiling. Immaculately clean. The staff were beyond helpful and nice. I would definitely stay here again. And I felt safe parking my car in the parking lot, which is always important too.
4.1
Place was clean and updated which was nice. The only downside was being on State street you hear all the traffic on State street all night long
4.1
Friendly staff, clean room, good location.
4.1
The room was very clean, however the noise from the traffic and other guests was terrible. The walls are paper thin so you could hear every door open and shut all night. Wi-Fi did not work for any guests
4.1
The property was not very clean, lots of spider webs, dirty walls, floors, hand rails, and mop boards. Housekeeping does not come daily, fyi.
The window to our room did not lock and there was a large gap under the door. We were awoke at 3 am to a couple fighting in the next room, the woman crying and begging to be "let go" We considered calling 911 but did not. (I regret this).
Also, the mattress was very uncomfortable and the water pressure in the shower was not great.

AC worked great. Beds were comfy and the staff was friendly.

The room was very clean, it is an older property but that’s ok as long as it’s clean, it was quiet and I got a good nights rest. Check in was easy and the gentleman Dean at check in, was very courteous.
4.1
The room had a kitchenette. A grocery store was across the street. The room was a little outdated but quiet and convenient with free parking right in front.
4.1
Definitely a no frills hotel. Clean enough.

Thin walls

I've stayed at this hotel before and had a good experience. This time, we were the last to check in to the hotel in the evening and got a room that seemed like it was formerly the caretaker's room. Beds in the room were old and awful, the room itself was in dire need of renovation. Felt extremely cheap, and I've stayed in some very cheap places before.
4.1
The clenliness and easy access, parking and pool. May be coffee area could be a bit better.

This hotel was super old and unwelcoming. The mattress I believe was springs and it made a terrible noice with the smallest movement. The bathroom was old and overall it felt creepy. I would never stay at this place again.
4.1
The bed was fine and the room had both a refrigerator and a coffee maker. The location is good and safe.

We were thrilled with our stay and are happy to say that all of the positive reviews that we read while deciding to book were accurate. The room and bedding were very clean. The bathroom was recently renovated. We did not use the pool but the area was clean and litter-free. The location was very convenient to many restaurants and things to do. The only thing I’d mention is that the WiFi was not the best. Since we were staying for leisure and not business, this was a minor issue for us.

Not a bad stay for a weekend. Staff is great, friendly, helpful. Very easy check-in. parking was not a problem. Didn't see an elevator, so if mobility is an issue, you may want to ensure you get a bottom floor. Only complaint is it can get noisy. First night (Thursday) it seemed like the cars and motorcycles didn't quiet down until about 11 p.m. Friday night was quiet early (or I was really tired). Had great neighbors so not much noise there from the hotel itself. Oh, and the rooms need somewhere to hang your wet towel after a shower. Just a suggestion to put something up on the wall in the bathrooms.

I chose this place because of the pool and the closeness to the University of Santa Barbara. It was good space , comfortable. I was highly upset that the pool was closed for whatever service it needed during my stay.

It was a very quiet cute place to stay for the night

Comfort
4.1
We stayed one night in a standard king room on the second floor and it was spacious and nicely remodeled. The bed was comfortable and I thought the light-up mirror in the bathroom and all the charging ports were nice touches. It was close to a Whole Foods where we picked up food for an early morning departure. Some reviews mentioned that the parking can get filled up at night, but we found a spot behind the building. The one downside was that the Internet was slow, but I’m not sure if it was just that one night. I would happily stay there again.

Stayed 2 nights. Clean no smells and comfortable bed. We got the king. Hotel is on a busy street but it does quiet down after 9pm. I slept nicely. Swimming pool was nice on a hot day. My wife & I would stay again.

Great place had everything we possibly needed!

Comfortable suite for 5 people with a kitchenette. The kitchen has an induction stove, cooking utensils, and sufficient cutlery.
With free parking, a pool, and friendly management, I would happily recommend this place.

We got a down stairs room and the upstairs room was very loud we can hear the steps and noise through The roof maybe the roof is very thin that you can hear everything.

It is a ok place to stay. Nothing extraordinary just simple. Was expensive for what I got.

Clean, quiet, and cool. Their a/c units are phenomenal!

Liked the garden area. The rooms were nice and the bed is comfort. Parking is not great.

Nice pool area , lovely modern room .

The bed was really uncomfortable. But rhe hotel was nice, and I loved the area!

Stayed for one night, the room had a slight cleaning room smell that didn't really bother us too much. Parking was easy in the afternoon, but looked a little full at night. Super affordable and quiet, and a 10$ uber to downtown. Shower didn't have a door and the room only had one mirror, which was odd but not a dealbreaker

First things first, this is a roadside motel. Cannot and will not get around that. Perhaps that may turn you off, but almost EVERY motel in Santa Barbara is on the same road: State Street. Upper, lower, it doesn't matter - the roadside motel is a staple in this small, lovely city.
Now, as roadside motels go, this is a gem! Great facilities, clean, spacious, well-appointed. I gave it 4 stars because they make the most of their presence. Everything they do is done professionally, from check-in to daily cleanings, you can tell they take pride in their space.
Our room was near the road, perhaps a little closer than I would have liked, but it didn't matter. The point here is that once you're in the room, it is your oasis. The pool area is clean and well-kept too. I have zero complaints about any of it, and if I have to stay in SB again, I know I have a space I feel very good to relax in.
In Santa Barbara, roadside is king, and the Oasis Inn lives up to its name.

Remolded motel in spanish style which looks nice from the outside with friendly staff and close to shopping centers. Once inside the remodeled room there's a perfurmed smell which decipates really fast and then a smell of the mold and smoke comes at you. The rooms are remolded but the windows are not and we can hear all the cars passing by the loud main street and everyone walking into their rooms at all hours. After an early morning outing we came back early evening to a very pungent moldy smelling room. We couldn't breathe so we changed rooms as staff was accommodating. We changed rooms to another perfurmed moldy room but luckily we left the next morming. Sadly I will not choose to stay here again.

Comfortable, clean, friendly, convenient, economical. What's not to like? Stayed there for years. Always a pleasure. We live 30 miles out of town; stay there if we don't want to drive home late at night. Perfect.

Needs more parking

Doorway was not lit. There was very tight parking but the room was clean. Only had 2 little spiders. Otherwise, everything was very clean and in working order. The mini fridge freezer was excellent.

Staff were great
Chamber maids were loud

The property has lovely vegetation, trees, etc. did not use the pool. Great restaurants across the street! Quiet and accessible to things we wanted to do. This is an older motel and rooms have been renovated and very comfortable!

Nice clean place not far from downtown. The room, furniture, linens, bathroom looked new (very nice!). There is a small yard with flowers and tables. Pool looked nice, but it was not heated, so we did not use it. People were sunbathing at the pool though. Parking spaces are a little tight, could be a problem for vans and SUVs.
