Excellent(1,170 Reviews)4.1
Cute and friendly property with a great price for the location.
4.1
My family just needed somewhere to sleep for the night and headed out early morning. Everything was pretty average for what it was. The bathroom did have cockroaches tho so just FYI
4.1
The toilets have a weak flush, otherwise all was great
4.1
We booked the family room and it was just enough for us.Would have been great if it has 2 bathroom. The place is appropriate and fee is just enough.
4.1
Sandpiper is nice...priced reasonably. It is clean and fairly quiet. Continental breakfast is very limited. The only real drawback was the slow wifi and 0-1 bar reception on my phone. Maybe because I was on the ground floor under a stairway. If the price was low enough I'd stay here again.

Nice stay!
4.1
Amazing room at a great rate compared to others in the area
4.1
This place is quite old , but affordable in a very expensive town. Parking lot and entrance are very tight for a full sized truck.
4.1
Lovely hot tub
4.1
Excellent location, good price value deal, pool, rooms are fully equipped albeit a bit outdated. Mattress was too soft for me.
4.1
The office girks were very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The maids were excellent and very nice and helpful
4.1
The rooms were clean, not very updated and we could’ve used some more pillows for the bed. But overall, it was good.
4.1
Everything we needed was right there. Will stay there again if we are in the area.
4.1
Our one night stay was comfortable, with good room accommodations for a reasonable rate.
4.1
Stay was just above average. Old and fairly well kept. Not much selection for breakfast
Front desk clerk not the friendliest one i e met
4.1
Wonderful Experience and Very Clean all around.
4.1
Shower needs a grab bar!
Told them many times.
No clock in the room.
Breakfast no longer has cheese omlettes.
4.1
This motel was clean and not terribly uncomfortable. But it was also dated and not particularly comfortable either. Given the price compared to other SB options. It was fine; and I would stay again under these same price conditions
4.1
Sandpiper Lodge is an older hotel but has a feel to it as being down home and family like. This is my place to stay in Santa Barbara.
4.1
convenient location and nice rooms for visiting Sant Barbara for the 1st time.
4.1
Hotel is a bit dated and run down but was otherwise clean and comfortable.
A/C in our room leaked water into the carpet immediately underneath the wall unit. It also ran constantly despite the room getting to below the desired temperature. Not a big deal given the temperatures while we stayed here, but could be an issue at other times of the year.
Breakfast and pool were both good. Surrounding area also had a number of restaurants in a very short walk. Would recommend Sun Sushi (if you can get a table).
4.1
Odd room design, but very spacious
4.1
The only criticism we had was the lack of wall outlets near our bed for cpaps and phone chargers. Fortunately, we travel with extension cords. The internet connection was also unreliable and we were told by other guests that this was a problem they also experienced. The property is clean, well maintained and secure.
4.1
Would give 5 stars to all, but my husband and I are senior citizens (80 & 76) and beds were too high for us. I will ask if any rooms with with lower beds.
4.1
We really enjoyed are stay here. Employees were beyond helpful and kind. the beds where oh so comfortable. the towels where not the greatest, pretty small but we made do. Good location with plenty of restaurants to choose from.Would stay here again.
4.1
The continental breakfast offered is too basic (poor) just could food :( and therefore the price is already high compared to other options.
4.1
Spacious room. Many electrical outlets. Convenient location to downtown area. We’ll definitely come back.
4.1
Good: service, comfy bed, clean room
Bad: room is very dated. WiFi did not work and Verizon would not work in the room, so our phones were in SOS mode in the room. This hotel has the thinnest walls of anywhere I’ve ever stayed. We could every conversation from our neighbors next door and above. No privacy at all. We could also hear every baby crying.
Overall, would not stay again.
4.1
Overall great place for a family. Breakfast wasn’t so good. The pool and the hot tub were well-maintained. Close to everything.
4.1
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and plenty of towels were provided. It’s right in the middle of lots of stores and restaurants so anything needed was within walking distance. The only thing I wish we had was a fan in the restroom. It was small and it got hot in there during showering. Other than that we had a great stay and I would stay again.
4.1
good place to stay. Friendly staff
4.1
Nice place for the price! I will stay again!
4.1
Excellent service. Very clean. Very modern. Thank you!
4.1
It is a very nice property with great rooms
4.1
We stayed two nights in two different rooms as we didn’t originally plan to stay an extra night but we liked the first day enough to return to the hotel after a long day, we saw that the second room we got was in better condition than the first as the shower drained properly and this room felt cleaner and included a binder to let us know of all the amenities provided and local restaurants to visit which we appreciated as we were vacationing. Overall tho, we enjoyed our stay throughout our vacation and appreciated the included breakfast as it was one less thing to worry about and would gladly recommend to our friends to stay here if they ever come vacation in the area.
4.1
Nothing spectacular but does the job for place to sleep in Santa Barbara area at a more affordable rate.
Nothing "wrong" with the place but nooo frills
4.1
Stay was quiet. Restaurants were not walking distance. Lodge is in the middle of nowhere.
