Excellent choice for one day trip. Near nantional trust foot path and skyline point. Easy to get by bus from train station, and friendly staffs with great passion.

Nice hostel for visiting Bath. Having meals available there was a big plus. Lots of families and older couples staying while we were there. No complaints.
4.1
This was a nice place to stay and the staff was very accommodating especially when I lost my key card but it's a dorm at the end of the day and you're sleeping in the same room with a bunch of other guys. Facilities were well maintained and the falling of breakfast was pretty tasty but an extra cost

Nice stay. Love the picnic tables outside. Easy to park the car on the street. Well located ; approx. 25 minutes walking to city center, and next to a hill (5 min walk) to see the city and enjoy the sunset.

Poop smell.
I thought the 1st time we stayed here they just needed to empty the sewage, it was worse this time; sewage smell gets worse after people shower. It’s disgusting.
But in the rooms and the grounds are great

We had a private room, enough space for everyone. However, we booked with an en suite bathroom and had no shower in the room. The shared showers used by everyone were reeking of rotten eggs, so we couldn‘t use them.
The beds were not very comfortable, for tall people way too small. We couldn‘t properly close the window in our room as it was broken. The room was quite noisy, we heard everyone walking upsatairs. It was advertised with ‚parking spaces available‘, but that ultimately meant we had to park on the street somewhere. Yes, it was ‚just a hostel‘, but even for a hostel it was pretty bad.

Amazing view over Bath from this YHA. There’s a comfortable large lounge area as well as a big kitchen dining area where you can use microwaves to cook (there are no hobs.) very friendly, lots to do so returning in summer 😊

Absolutely great stay and stunning location. We traveled as a group of friends and booked the private room. All the facilities and and service staff was just wonderful and welcoming. I would say the private rooms could be a little bigger in size but that's not a problem. Everything was clean and beautifully maintained. The priory itself was beautiful in and around the grouds. The kitchen and self catering area was great, spacious and well equipped with all utensils cutlery and multiple ovens. There is no induction or stove if anybody needs that detail. We were able to cook a lot of things in the ovens and kitchen space. Walk to the hostel from bath city centre is very scenic but it is quite uphill so i would not recommend walking with bags. Over all a great stay and highly recommended.

Good staff and very polite and helpful, while the rooms did not have any towels, shampo, but clean and lovely place.

Good for the price if you only want a room for the night

Helpful staff. Excellent kitchen with everything you need. Lots of family friendly space and spread out enough so not too hectic.

The ensuite family room was perfect for my needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was reasonable. The building was updated and refurbished to keep the original features.

I had an issue when checking in as the bed had been 'double booked' by 2 different platforms (hotels.com and expedia.com). I arrived before the other person but it took just over 1 hour for the staff to force the system to allocate the bed to me and the other person had to sleep on a sofa!
At least I didn't have to pay twice: that nearly happened to me with a camping site near Calne (they claimed the monies were not in their bank account!) and with a backpackers' hostel in Oradea (in Romania - same story: they claimed the payment hadn't gone through).
There is a large kitchen (microwaves only) however it is very busy in the morning. Some of the bins (kitchen and toilets) didn't seem to be emptied on a daily basis. Otherwise the hostel was clean, if a bit noisy during the day, and some people in my dorm chatted (to other people in the dorm, or on their phone) until well after 10pm. It's OK for a short break, provided you don't have to get up early in the morning!

Lovely hostel in a beautiful old building. Lovely staff and very easy to get into town.

We spent one night there. Hostel nice and clean

I rented a private room and spent the best time in Bath, every thing was perfect. the staff were very nice and helpful, the hostel was quite and relaxing. One thing that really bothered me was the toilet, it wasn't cleaned and there was a mudy foot prints on the floor and the sink was a bit dirty.

Nice and clean, and staff very friendly! We came on a hot day, and rooms very smoking hot, while the hallways were cooler?! Building has far too many doors, maling it awkward and unpractical when you are bringing luggage.

First time in a YHA! Impressed with the whole set up, the room for the night was perfectly adequate and we had our own toilet and sink! The reception staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful.
However!! There was a school trip of about 20 teenagers there, the noise, screaming, banging and KICKING OF DOORS was appalling, especially at 4am in the morning!!
First and LAST time in a YHA I’m afraid!

I love the location. There is a bus stop right in front of the hostel

Staff not very knowledgeable and appeared indifferent

All Female Dormitory available., Reasonably Priced., Location - all very Good.
But no Hob in the Kitchen and a lack of Ovenware.
Overall Great

Great stay. Try walking down the hill through the fields, so beautiful

The only negative was the parking. They did say parking was available on the main road outside the hostel but on a busy Saturday unfortunately no spaces so we parked in town and got taxis. Apart from that they couldn’t have been more helpful. A great little place for friends to gather.

We were attending a performance of the Messiah at Bath Abbey and needed good affordable accommodation. This YHA was the perfect choice. Our bunk-bed room in the rear block had a modern bathroom with hot shower, mattresses more comfortable than many hotels we have stayed in and it was surprisingly quiet! The location is an added bonus offering the choice of a regular bus service to and from the centre or a fabulous walk down the hill via the canal. Thoroughly recommend.

Can't fault anything. Never stayed in a YHA and thought it was excellent. Great accommodation and staff around. Parking is the only downside as you have to find it on the main road unless you have a disabled badge.

Excellent stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent value. Very quiet location. A hilly walk up to it, otherwise excellent stay and very reasonable.

Spotless room and catering area. We will be more than happy to stay at a YHA and in particuler this one again.

Staff were really helpful, you probably ought to pay Sam a bit more. The place was simple to access and navigate, spotlessly clean and well equipped. It was also peaceful during the two nights I stayed. I'd have no hesitation recommending this place to people and I'll definitely stay here again.

Staffs were so friendly, room was clean and cozy. But it was too hot to sleep at night and difficult to adjust good temperature by duvet. Except it the stay was really nice.
