Walls are paper thin. We could hear one neighbor’s TV and the other neighbor’s conversations, and they’re not speaking loudly. Room needs updating. There was a Keurig coffee maker. Staff were very nice and check in/out was very efficient.

It started with being given the wrong digital lock code for the room door. the room was showing its age. wallpaper peeling, rubber baseboard peeling away from the wall. The shower curtain had mold on the bottom and needed to be replaced and the sliding glass door to the balcony would not lock. by the time we found this out the front desk was closed.

Amazing little motel with the friendliest service at the front desk.
For the price of the room, it was a perfect stop for our one nighter as we passed through town on our bike trip.

We loved the cute little old west town of Winthrop. Good dining options. The hotel is clean, comfortable beds, hot shower with good pressure. The room balcony with chairs was an added bonus.

Clean and simple

Staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was clean. Walking distance to grocery store, coffee shop, gas station/mini market and pizza place. $ 20 plus tax per night per pet fee is kind a too much.

The room was comfortable

Young lady checking us into our two rooms for the single night was really friendly. Couldnt make use of the breakfast as it started too late for us - ended up going to the gas station and getting some things for the road.
Our rooms were really fairly dated, but clean. The problem that we had which in the end really ruined our stay was the excessively noisy Airconditioner that blows directly onto the side of the bed.
All in all, I don't think they offer much value for money and I wouldnt stay again.

I was incredibly disappointed to learn that the hot tub was out of commission only after my arrival. I booked this location specifically bc it had a hot tub. The hotel did not notify me or offer a discount.

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE DURING FIRE SEASON. From the east side of the state, we had started the day in Leavenworth and were in Marysville about 4:30 pm when we saw that SR 20 had just closed due to wildfires. We immediately called the hotel to ask for a refund since our planned route was closed. We were told that because the fire was not their fault and that we could drive BACK through Leavenworth and enter from the east side, they would not issue a refund. They did say, however, that we could reschedule to another date within a year. Going back through Leavenworth and up from the east was not going to happen. We had to scramble to make new plans/lodging for the night. After returning home, I called the Winthrop Inn to ask how to go about rescheduling to a future date. I was told that since I had not specifically told them that I wanted to reschedule at the time that I told them we would not be arriving and asked for the refund, that option was no longer available. What poor customer service! I will now never stay at the Winthrop Inn, and I have told all my friends this story and so hopefully they will now not ever stay there either. It would not have hurt them to let us rebook our lost night sometime in the next year, probably in the off season, but they chose not to. What a shame! I wonder how many other people this has happened to recently.

The room was okay for an overnight stay. The carpet had stains and the room/property was very outdated. The air conditioning unit was extremely noisy but the plus side is that it drowned out the neighbors who were quite loud and “frisky.” The bed was comfortable and we felt safe sleeping here but the rooms are definitely overpriced for what they were. We stayed at the Mount Gardner Inn the night prior and that was a much nicer property.

The entrance was easy to find, had lots of good air conditioning. Overall a great stay!

Scheduled for two day visit , and day of departure Hwy 20 was closed due to wildfires. We were stuck and call Winthrop inn about our situation and they said that because Hwy 97 was open ( 7 hour detour ) they wouldn’t refund our reservation. I’m an essential employee who needs to be within a 4 hour call back , and the detour wouldn’t work. I HiGHLY recommend you skip this money grubbing , non locally owned property , as they aren’t at all interested in working with guests. We have been to Winthrop many times but from here on out , we won’t even drive by this money pit , and highly suggest in the strongest terms you folks do the same !!!!!!

The staff were friendly, and the location is pretty good. However, because wildfires closed the main route into the North Cascades and created an air quality warning, we decided to leave a day early, but the inn wouldn’t refund us for that night.

Disappointed in the breakfast. Only served coffee & tea. No juice. Went to get a waffle at 10:45, could not get the waffle dispenser yo work, no bowls ormilk left for cereal. Only syrup & a communal container of country crock. The ice machine was not working & only had coffee in the room to make....neither one of us drink coffee.
The bed was very uncomfortable very clean, staff were very nice.

I liked the balcony with a view of the hills behind. The room was clean and the shower was great.
There was no light at the writing table. The free breakfast that was promised was not available when we came down at 6:50 AM and the note on the locked door said it would be attended 7:45 AM. The door to the balcony had no lock on it to keep our possessions safe.

we were late checking but that was not a problem. They left an envelope for us with the info on our room and code to get into the room. Seem less check in. Staff was super friendly, I forgot my pillow and they had my name one it and knew me when I called.

I thought I was booking into a different hotel when I came into town. I tried to cancel when I found the hotel. The front lawn was the most cared for part of the whole property. The outside area in the parking lot and the building was in rough shape. I asked to see the room before I was willing to stay. I was ready to take a loss and move on.The floors in the hallway were dirty, but the room was clean but the air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off, and the bed needs to be replaced. I realize it was the cheapest in town and the saying you get what you paid for holds true in this case. I would never recommend this place. The person running the front desk was friendly and professional. I would not recommend this place.

We liked the location, the rooms, and the close proximity to the river

Staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean though it is showing its age a bit. Bed comfortable. Air-con was struggling to keep up with 99-degree temp. Appliances on the older side but all worked fine except the fridge had a lot of trouble cooling things down. Next door to several convenient shops. Withing walking distance from main street Winthrop. For the price we were happy with the stay!

No chair in room or early breakfast. Otherwise a clean and pleasant room.

The property was clean but tired and in need of maintenance. Not particularly worth a $205 bill.

We were excited to stay here but weren't very satisfied in the end for a few reasons. Firstly, the rear stairs to the upper floor are almost falling off the building - I would not recommend using them. We were told breakfast would be available by 8:30 am (which seems late compared to other hotels) but the door was locked to the office in the morning with a sign that said they would be back at 9:00 am. Our group had to leave before 9 so we did not get breakfast. And thirdly, the fridge/microwave plug in our room would not stay in the outlet so none of our food/drinks stayed cold as the fridge was unplugged all night. So all in all, a little disappointing.

I was pleasantly surprised for the price. Nice to be able to check in after hours using coded doors. Pet friendly which was nice. Good to be able to find a reasonably priced hotel during the summer in a tourist town.

Breakfast timings are super inconvenient. Starts at 9 by which time most of the people have moved out.

The price was good, the cleanliness was good, room was acceptable (nothing fancy but clean, quiet and comfortable. Biggest issue was office staff and policies. Couldn't check in early even though it was empty (not even check in without going to room.) Ckeck in was 4-6 pm!! The advertised breakfast was only served from 9-11 am.
.totally unacceptable for people traveling!
