Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again

proximity to downtown Winthrop, cross country and fat tire biking trails

9 a.m. start for breakfast was a little later then we would prefer

Location to town and amenities And nice spot along the river. Breakfast was ok. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cobwebs in room, no decor, pictures etc. Not everyone drinks coffee, Keurig. Would have been nice to have some tea bags, although pucks were available in the kitchen

Highly recommend

Very clean and comfortable large queen room. Individual patio off the back through a sliding glass door with small table and two chairs overlooking the River. Picnic tables and BBQ’s on the grounds. Nice walking trail to a lovely park nearby. Close to town and many nice restaurants. Refrigerator, coffee machine large tv and microwave in room. Very quiet.

We didn't have breakfast as it didn't start until 9am and we were well on our way.

Cozy location with a weird check-in/check-out process

It had comfy-rustic charm and had access to safe walking to the downtown area while being a quiet retreat from the potentially busy and noisy area. We had visits from a dear and some wild turkeys. I enjoyed visiting the Homestream Park that was easily accessible by a trail under the bridge.

The check-in and check-out process was very sterile. There was no one in the office past 6 pm and instructions were delivered via text message. Check-out was also done via smart phone. We did happen to check in before 6, so we were able to ask for recommendations for restaurants. That wouldn’t have been an option if we’d arrived later.

Beautiful view of the river. Love the covered wagon. Close to town.

Could use a full length mirror. Not sure why smoking is not allowed on the decks. It is outdoors. May reconsider changing that rule.

Don’t expect any understanding from management

We waited with cancellation until the very last moment, but the heat dome with temperature over 104, plus Sourdough forest fire that closed road #20 and AQI over 300 forced us to cancel. We expected some kind of understanding from the management of Methow River Lodge, possibly a voucher for future use. Nothing was offered. We understood that by contract we couldn’t cancel after 7 days before check in date, that is why we waited until the very last moment hoping that the conditions will change.

Superb

The room was comfortable and had a great view over the Methow River. Walking distance to town. The morning breakfast was ok. The check-in check out process was easy. Overall it's a great place to stay in Winthrop.

Very clean and great location. This is one of the best hotels in my opinion.

The only thing I don’t like is that it isn’t on the Main Street. Other than that this is one of the best hotels to stay at.

Location proximity to ice rink & x-c trails

Internet didn't allow sustained connection to handle business or stream. There wasn't daily room tidy up so we had to take out our own garbage & get additional hand towels, coffee/tea packets from front desk - not awful but inconvenience because office closed @ 6 & we were out on x-c trails & dining beyond that time
