We stayed at this hotel and were very pleased! Great location — just a few steps from the beach. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view. The staff was very polite and always ready to help. We recommend it!

The hotel made a good impression on us. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. We also appreciated the proximity to the beach. It's a great place for a vacation!

Asdena was very friendly and helpful.
The room had few issues. Shower head holder was broken. Bunk bed lower had a shelf hanging on the wall which is very dangerous for kids as the can smash 💥 the head on on it. Silicone around shower tray is really bad applied and looks horrible.

The people who run both the Town Lodge and Reef Lodge are lovely, very friendly. We stayed 8 night's and are going back in September. :)

I stayed at this hotel and was completely thrilled! The rooms are spacious and clean, with a stunning view. The staff is very courteous and always ready to help. The hotel is located in a convenient spot, not far from the beach, which was a big plus. The only downside is the unstable Wi-Fi, but it didn't ruin our vacation. Overall, it's the perfect place to relax, and I gladly recommend it to all my friends!

So, check-in was ok. Was asked for a name, no ID check (I'm not sure what I think of that) and no deposit needed/requested (which I'm happy about) and the lady at the desk went through all of the general stuff you'd expect them to.
So, the room. It is modern looking, clean and better than the prior hotel we stayed in when we went to London last year.
However, there are issues with this one, both safety and experience issues just like the other one but here they are:
- Damp (water) patches around main ceiling lights and in other areas of the ceiling.
- Hole in side of socket bracket.
- No handle on the initial dial used to turn on the shower.
- Dodgy wiring in the smaller rotational lights (in pics).
- Rusty mattress springs.
- Mattress is firm as a big rock, if I wanted that I could've just gone to the beach down the road and slept on a rock there.
- Curtains fitted to a drawstring operated pole, without drawstrings (there is even a sign to tell us to use the provided nonexistent ones)
- A broken (non lockable) window in the bathroom.
- A loose safety attachment on main room window.
- A dodgy/irritating sliding bathroom door which you have to get in the correct position to lock and sometimes doesn't open if the door is slightly out of the mechanism and there is a noticeable gap at the side of the door where you can watch your loved one (or room mates) take a number 1/2.
- Two single beds screwed together to form a double bed? Ok, but why? There we go, my review.

All good value for money although photos are a bit inaccurate to the place as it made the room look huge and it was rather small but it was only two fours so not really a problem- bed was nice and everything was clean, although no soap in sink which would be nice, also on the double bed it was two single quilts? Again not really a problem and overall the lodge was very nice

The room was so small, could hardly move round it, And the landings shared bathroom was right next to us, so could hear everyone using bathroom.

The staff was lovely and accommodating, let us store our bags before and after check out whilst we carry on exploring as we got there earlier than check in. I also lost my inhaler and i realised after i checked out and they was more than happy to search the room for me. We was lucky enough to get our own bathroom, not a shared one, the shower didnt drain quick enough so you ended up being stood in a pool of water in the shower but that didnt bother us. There was a kettle also in the room which was nice with tea and coffee, and a TV also. The double bed was more like a Super Kingsized. Only downside is it would of been nice to have a fan in the room as we was on the top floor and it was a warm weekend and the towels could of been a little bigger. Overall a great place!

Blue reef is excellently located in the heart of Newquay. The family room was a little small and the children wouldn’t sleep in the bunk beds as far too high. Bathroom too small. Housekeeping could have been better as had to ask for clean towels, cups and toilet rolls, we stayed for 3 nights. Facilities were ok and we could get coffee/tea and light breakfast of toast or cereal. I did have pint out on one occasion that the bread had some green meldue on it. Having said that the staff were Very friendly and helpful.

Great locations, very good pricing and the rooms were very spacious, I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Newquay. My only complaint was the walls are a bit thin which as a light sleeper wasn't ideal!

We booked a comfort triple and got downgraded to a budget triple. The accommodation itself was ok, quiet.
The problem we had was that although it is a lodge it is operated as a a strict hotel with no access to any kitchen facilities or refrigeration. They have a bar type area downstairs but access to it is begrudgingly conceded, with access militantly enforced. I asked for the staff member to get some cheese out of the fridge, after she did not we went to get it ourselves and were told off by staff.
This could all be easily fixed - a sunnier outlook by staff, and a more open policy of using kitchen facilities wouldn't cost much or anything and would make for a much nicer stay, anyone staying a while doesn't want to eat out all the time and use of kitchen facilities would greatly improve the stay.

Ideal location for beach/swim/surfing break. No allocated parking and double yellow lines majority of places, expensive for daily car parking (free between 4pm to 9am).Plenty of places to eat.No frills, relaxing and laid back.Staff on hand to help and deal with any queries. You may need to ask specifically for the room to be cleaned. Some rooms have shared bathroom - worked alright for us.Noisy outside as on main road. But if you enjoy the beaches all day, you will probably sleep soundly!

I am very happy with this hostel, we got what we paid for. Our room was tidy, beds were very comfy. Our neighbours were very quiet so we couldn't complain about anything. Lovely place to stay in with your family.
