We had a great stay! Our room faced a busy courtyard, but the sound wasn't an issue past 9:30pm. The hotel is in a great location. Just be aware that they do not offer on-site parking.
4.7
Small but lovely hot tub hidden away, but don't miss the sauna in the same room! Rooms were comfortable but smallish. Comfy bed and linens. As close as you can get to the really good hot dog stand (a worthwhile superlative).
4.7
Nice place, be aware though that air conditioning is limited and believe or not we got a little warm and had to open windows. Service was excellent as was breakfast.
4.7
Great location and beautiful
Hotel. Lovely breakfast too. Would stay here again.
4.7
A the room was a large suite that is well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. Property is close to many restaurants and places of tourist interest.
4.7
Very nice and new hotel. Spacey rooms. Very nice staff at breakfast. Breakfast itself a bit monotone (every day the same food), would also be great if they would offer freshly prepared meals (e.g. eggs) and barista coffee and some variety (e.g. different types of cheese).
At the time of our stay, property lacked the social life you would expect in the lobby of a luxury hotel (different e.g. in the Edison hotel around the corner - maybe because it is a bit larger and has a restaurant on site).
Spa is also very nice (hot tub and sauna).

Excellent location. We were there on Ireland's independence day and was central to all the events, and the seaside

Excelente hotel and very cozy
Close to restaurants , museums and shops

Loved the place! Make sure you use the spa, hot tub, sauna and gym they were amazing. Plus all the history of the place, the pictures and the decor were spot on. I will definitely be back

Breakfast buffet is very nice and good value for Iceland. We enjoyed the wine bar at the hotel.
4.7
Centrally located with several parking options. Hotel was recently renovated and in excellent condition . Quiet and comfortable rooms.
4.7
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Gorgeous lobby, nice restaurant, very comfortable beds, fluffy bedding, excellent shower and bath facilities, and a perfect location. We are staying here again on our way home and we are looking forward to it. Best hotel in Reykjavik.
4.7
Lovely hotel with comfort and style. Central location and easy street parking. Walkable to all city spots.
4.7
The hotel location was perfect for our needs. It was close to great restaurants, shopping and the #3 bus stop.
The parking information on third party sites was deceiving. We were specifically looking for a place with convenient overnight parking, which was mentioned on those sites for about $40 per night. However, upon parking at the lot across the street, it was about 3x that amount. When we inquired with the front desk, they mentioned that the price changed recently. Unfortunately, we had to find out the hard way. There is a cheaper lot about a block away, but it is inaccessible from 12-7am daily. (However, you can park there overnight) that was a major disappointment for us, but luckily, everything else was great.
The rooms also need full-length mirrors. You don’t realize how much you need one until you don’t have one.

Was very impressed with rooms, service and location - highly recommend

Accomodations were very clean and comfortable the only negative was we lived out of our suitcases because there were no drawers. The staff were helpful and we were able to check in early. Their bar and lounge offered wonderful food and drink and their spa was really relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel.
4.7
Nice rooms. Good sauna. Very helpful staff. Very quiet.

This Hotel Konsulat Reykjavik is luxurious, cozy, and located in a prime area. If you’re a guest at the hotel, I highly recommend using their bath house. The sauna and jacuzzi was the best part of my stay. Not to mention, I’m very picky when it comes to comfortable bedding and pillows and their pillows were so good that I plan on buying them. I will definitely stay at the Hotel Konsulat Reykjavik again!
4.7
Upscale hotel centrally located with friendly staff.
4.7
Great property, rooms well appointed & easy to walk around city from location
4.7
The only surprise was the cost of breakfast, which I was very expensive. It’s better to walk to the Grai Kotturinn, just a short walk away and have a great breakfast at a reasonable price.
4.7
A great hotel in a great location, close to restaurants and the port and bus stop 3 for any trips.
4.7
Great stay with a great on-site team. Will definitely stay again next time I am in Reykjavík!

4.7
Great property in a very central location.
4.7
Nice hotel in the city. Quiet rooms and really nice staff.
4.7
The room was of nice size but dark and could have been better appointed and more bright. The fact that there was no restaurant for dinner was a problem.
4.7
A great hotel in an amazing location!
4.7
I would have liked more eating options within the restaurant. Gym was very small and didn’t have all the equipment I desired. Room service would have also been appreciated.
4.7
Loved the location of this hotel - so close to bus stop 3 and 6, along with the main walking street. The breakfast was wonderful and such a comfy hotel room.
4.7
Fantastic stay, hotel is central to everything , fantastic breakfast.
4.7
The rooms were really clean and nice. The receptionist was kind and recommended a great restaurant for dinner for us. Breakfast was pretty standard English-style hotel breakfast. Super close to everything we needed to get to. Overall, a good place to stay.
4.7
Great but abit noisy from room 404
4.7
Thos was the most amazing hotel. Ot was very close to several bus stops which is important of going on day tours. It was really close to walk to rainbow road and other tourist destinations without being on top of all the people. The staff was so incredible and verh helpful. The breakfast that was included was delicious and opened very early. We also enjoyed the pool and spa area a lot. If I return to Iceland I'd stay here again.
4.7
Boutique Hilton with a decent room. Albeit way crowded with needless furniture making it difficult to find room even for the suitcases. Breakfast pretty terrible with low quality ingredients such as pasteurized liquid eggs and tasteless mini sausages.
4.7
Very nice property. A bit dark but overall was a lovely stay. Close to everything, nice rooms, and clean.
4.7
Very nice
