Second stay at Mode which is fast becoming our go-to for the events that we occasionally attend in Lytham. Rooms are modern and clean and we really appreciate the Queen size beds which make us feel at home! Also fantastic value for money and communication was spot on. Mode are doing things right.

Good, although I had to ring to get key code, I did not receive a email with the details.
The room was lovely but the radiator was a but hit and miss.

Accommodation was great. Central position and lovely location. The room was spacious and bathroom was also a decent size. This is an accommodation only arrangement which suited us perfectly. We were provided with information on how to contact a member of staff should we need to but we didn't as everything was perfect.

Room 209 had some type of motor running all night either above the room or outside so sleep was limited.
The room was not that clean

Mode was ideally placed for shops and eateries. Parking at the prom was easy and well within walking distance. The continental breakfast was fresh and most welcome.

Fantastic stat as always. Excellent location. Room spotless. Love it.

The location could not have been more convenient despite not having a car park. We missed not having a reception and a bar area.

We found the room and facilities ideal for our stay. A toothbrush stand would have been nice. The stairs were a little steep for our age.The take away breakfast was healthy and most satisfactory. We would have no hesitation in staying again.

I've never stayed in a hotel where there's no reception/receptionist before, so getting your room key out of a keysafe, was a bit strange for me, but not a problem. There is no lift in this hotel, so anyone with a heavy suitcase, would have difficulty up all the steps. However, the room itself was lovely. Quite spacious with a coffee machine, tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and bottled water. There's a fan in the room and an umbrella. The bathroom is a good size with plenty of shelf space for toiletries. The bed was comfy and the room was tastefully decorated. What I found quite quirky was that our continental breakfast was hung on a hook outside our door. The only down side to our stay that despite our room having double glazing, there was music being played till midnight, in a pub nearby, which stopped me from getting asleep as I am quite a light sleeper. Once this stopped, everything was fine!

We were a little hesitant about the method of check- in with no staff there to greet you. However we got instructions the day before about getting your key card and this worked well. Our room was quite spacious and was dual aspect overlooking the main square. On the down side there were no drawers anywhere to put away clothes and the open hanging space was small for two people. In addition one of the main windows had a large crack on the outer pane of the double glazed window. We suspect someone was trying to open the sash window but neither windows would open for fresh air so it was quite stuffy in the night. The bathroom door was a sliding door with no lock and it had a habit of rolling open again after shutting which could be quite embarrassing!! It would have been nice also to have a light over the dressing table area for those wanting to put on make-up. Having said all this it was clean and very central in Lytham. Breakfast arrived at your room at 7:30am every morning as promised but it consisted of one crouissant, with jam or nutella, a yoghurt ,a cereal bar, an apple and small bottle of orange juice. It would have been nice to have a different piece of fruit each day or a different pastry and for £7.95 it was rather expensive for what you got. Despite that we would use this hotel again as it was quirky and very central.

Its right in the centre so everything is to hand and a short walk to the prom. St Annes is a lovely walk away. Great dining out to choise from in Lytham.

The rating for this hotel was a huge exaggeration. The entrance had key locks with a code. once in the stairs were grubby and steep. We had to go up steep stairs for two floors with a suitcase. There was no lift.
the room was tight but had all essentials. breakfast was provided in a paper bag and hung outside the door in the morning and with an expresso machine available in the room was quite pleasant. the machine took some working out (keep the finger on the 'On' button to make it work! The room was quiet and there was no noise from other rooms. the bathroom was good. The experience was hindered by the entry experience.

Stayed here 4/8/24. The property does not have staff to great you. To enter the property we had to ring for instructions. We had asked for a low floor as my husband has recently been ill this was ignored. We were put on the 2nd floor and the stairs are quite steep so not for the less mobile. On entering the room it looked clean but there was a dreadful smell the windows were frosted so we couldn’t see outside as to where it was coming from. I climbed up to see through the window and to my horror it was absolutely filthy at the back of the property and clearly that’s where the smell was coming from, even when we closed the window it filled the room. Not only that there was a huge extractor fan and the noise was horrendous. I contacted the manager and told them we couldn’t possibly sleep in this room, only to be told we would have to pay more money to move even though these were major problems. I contacted Expedia as we didn’t agree with having to pay more and they were of no help whatsoever. We had to stay in the room and as expected it was awful. The breakfast bag too was only porridge, an apple and orange juice, no fresh croissants as stated really quite pathetic. Needless to say we will never return or book with Expedia.

Booking was very easy. Communication was good and we easily found our jeys from the keycode supplied by e mail before we arrived. Room was clean and comfortable. We had booked the Grab & Go continental breakfast which arrived outside the room on time each morning. We had got a special deal for breakfast
- im not sure i would have paid the full price quoted as there were lots of dining options nearby. The hotel is very central and close to shopping, bars and restaurants. There is no car park but you can just across the main beach road ( 2 mins walk away) for £4.60 for 24 hours. The hotel suited us well and we would stay again. The only thing i would change is frosted film on the bottom windows would make the room more private. We did feel a bit exposed on the first floor with the curtains open and closing them restricted the air flow into the room - the temperature was very hot on the days we were there. Otherwise all good.

My first visit, but will definitely not be the last.
I stayed in a Comfort room and it was huge with 2 big windows overlooking the Square and also a sea view.
The service is exceptional; a 24 hour telephone line (which this nervous traveler called a few times) manned by extremely helpful and friendly staff.
The hotel is much more than I expected; a true ‘boutique’ hotel without being pretentious. Absolutely spotlessly clean, very modern and beautifully decorated.
Everything you need in the room; fabulous complementary coffee station, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, modern stand alone fan, USB ports, soft dressing gowns, wonderful vanity table and also a huge full size mirror.
I usually struggle to sleep away from home, but the bed was so comfortable and the sheets so super soft that I fell asleep in seconds.
I asked the housekeeping staff for a phone charger and she couldn’t help enough.
Mode have made this a (sadly very rare) trip for me a luxurious and pampered one.
I am looking forward to seeking more of their hotels.
Thank you all Mode staff x

Didn’t pay a lot for the room so wasn’t expecting much. Was pleasantly surprised, nice extras in the standard room, super close to where we needed to be, and room was incredibly noise proof from the partying.

Been here many times before, luck of the draw which room you get on what floor. Stopped in 206 Deluxe, some basic rooms are better but overall, all the rooms are lovely.

We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms which had a queen size bed and sofa within it, the room was modern in decoration and very clean, the bed was very comfy

For a self-service hotel (no staff) it was very easy and straightforward to access the accommodation. A staff member called the week prior to take my email for them to send a code for the key box. The key box was easy to access and the key accessed both the door into the hotel and the hotel room. The room was very modern and clean. We were very happy with the facilities provided as well. Kettle, tea, coffee, bottles of still water and biscuits; plus toiletries provided. There was also a vending machine stocked with all sorts of treats and essentials, in the hallway, which was easy to use. The only thing I'd make other customers aware of was the noise level outside the hotel due to it being situated above a bar. We did stay over Saturday night so we did hear a fair bit of noise in the late evening until the early hours of the next morning. If you're a light sleeper this may not be ideal. Our room was situated above the bar though, so I'd advise to request a room allocation elsewhere in the building, if available, so you won't have as much noise disturbance. I can't imagine it being as loud during the week though. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at Mode and will gladly be returning at some point in the future.

Lovely hotel perfectly situated in the middle of Lytham, easy parking nearby at Pleasant Street, only £2.60 after arriving at 5pm and it covered up until 11am
