Recently stayed here for a fishing trip. The place was clean enough, with the building and room both being safe and comfortable. The bed itself was clearly old and worn out, and fairly uncomfortable especially given how physically exhausting multiple days of fishing can be. Room was never serviced the entire time I was there, and there was never anyone at the front desk (you had to call or buzz).

Older rooms but good for age of establishment. Not very accommodating for people with disabilities. I asked for disability accessible room, and had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to room. Also shower is very slick hard to get in with crippled legs, beds are so low to ground it's hard to get up. Friendly staff if you can find them. There is a number to call to contact staff, then someone will come to front desk. Attached restaurant is amazing. Huge portions, I never could finish half my plate.

There was no shelving in the bathroom. Had to put all toiletries on the floor. Everything else was fine. Will choose this establishment again.

Easy and simple lodging right in the heart of town. Bed and pillows comfy. Room and bathroom size big. Could have used an extra blanket on the bed, and water pressure was low. Not fancy but served its purpose for the trip and felt clean and safe.

Bedding and linens were clean. There was no safety latch on the door. Mattress was cheap and uncomfortable with no support. The single chair was a broken down stacking chair with zero padding. There were no black out curtains and they didn't close completely with shears in the middle. Walked by other rooms with open doors that appeared updated, probably comfortable well taken care of, too bad the room I was in hadn't been updated.

Though not a recently built or remodeled facility, the inn and property were clean and well kept. The room featured several ammenties to make our stay more pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. The friendly and welcoming staff was helpful in getting us situated into our room on the second floor. Another chair at the table would have be a welcome addition.

Great little hotel - perfect for fishing the Kenai River. Andrea, the hotel manager, goes beyond her job description - she even helped me bring my luggage to my room. Thank you for a great stay.

I'm never comfortable leaving a less than positive review, but feel it's only fair to future customers. Although, the front desk person was very nice and the lobby area was "homey", this hotel definitely has room for improvement. We stayed 5 nights and housekeeping never cleaned the room, emptied garbage cans, or brought fresh towels. Even when we called and specifically asked for these things to be done, it wasn't done until we called upon returning to the room at 9pm. The mattress was very old and sunk towards the middle. The room was recently remodeled, but you could tell corners were cut in the workmanship. The food at the attached restaurant was good, though.

Stayed there 3 nights with my two teens. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and in a great location!
The lady who works the front desk was very friendly and acted truly happy to help with whatever we needed. We asked for an extra set of towels and blankets. I would have been happy to have gone to the front desk to pick them up, but she insisted on bringing them to me, which I thought was above and beyond!
I wanted ice for my drinks one evening, and a gentleman I hadn’t seen was down there, and asked if I needed help. He turned out to be the owner, and I truly enjoyed talking with him and learning about him and his cute wife! I’m a single mom who was trying to get my 13 yr old son onto his first salmon catch. He was very kind, telling me where I should go and what I should use. Even offered suggestions on where to store my fish if we caught any (which we sadly did not).
I would stay there again simply because I liked them.

Maybe my own fault, but I didn’t realize this was a motel. Bed was very uncomfortable. Not enough pillows. Staff availability was extremely limited. No amenities. Other patrons were seedy. Would not recommend.

The room had an Alaska feel to it which I liked, and I live in the city of Anchorage.

Impressive interior with fantastic Alaskan decor on the walls. The rooms were large and had everything we needed, plus their breakfast from the restaurant was large sized and delicious!

They’ve done a really nice job of renovating the Inn. Very clean and comfortable. The owners were so kind and friendly! Easy access to anything. Connected to THE CATCH restaurant. We will definitely come again and we highly recommend the Alaska Angler Inn.

Lobby was so cute and comfy. Room was pretty cold and didn’t see a heater option but i put on thick socks and better pajamas and was comfy after that. Room is redone/updated and lots of space. Would stay again.

Had a great stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff is great. Angela seems to do most jobs. Check-in, housekeeping, etc. She does it all work a smile and genuine, caring attitude. She even found a Styrofoam cooler in the basement for us to transport our fish to the processor. The owner, Vern, also is quite personable and helpful.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. This is a no-frills hotel, but clean and comfortable. It was more than adequate for our four day stay with a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave.
Our only suggestion is to add a towel bar around the sink area.
The attached restaurant also has personable staff and is very accommodating. The food is basic, good and reasonably priced (for Alaska).
We would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Room was very clean. Sheets were soft. Bed was comfortable. Aesthetics of lobby was very inviting like a living room. Food was very good at attached restaurant.
*Room was on ground floor and window was unlocked. *The door to the outside need better, more secure locks. So did the door to the hallway

Not 5 star but they are trying very hard. Very clean, friendly staff, good parking, large spacious rooms. I had no problems

I liked my stay for the most part, pretty clean and cozy. Only downsides I experienced was there was no extra toilet paper left out Incase you ran out and our roll was already half out & the shower is EXTREMELY slippery with no grip mat etc so my bf fell the second he stepped in, luckily was okay. So definitely not the kind of in I would suggest to any older folk as a fall in a shower could seriously hurt someone. Beyond that, it was an ok stay. Nothing special.

Terrific service. Comfortable and clean.

It was fabulous, so cute and cozy. We felt super good, one exception is the beds and pillows. If you get a mattress topper or tempurpedic foam topper-it’s a game changer and super affordable. Some softer feather like ones are so amazing. I rate my experience by how comfy beds were:)

Perfect for my needs. Minus 9 degrees outside, warm enough, hot shower lots of water, clean room, cable (Direct TV), not 5 stars but fair price. Little wait for check in (4 PM). Very quiet comfortable stay this time of year. Thank you.

Great overall hotel on the Kenai Peninsula.

Room was average. After getting back to my room, realized the mini fridge was not working. Went to plug in my phone charger, and there is trash behind the nightstand. These are things i shouldve looked for earlier in the night before the front desk left.

Very good accommodations, great location and very helpful staff

Hotel staff were not ever present except at check in time. There was no room service for our 4 day stay. No way to get clean towels or have the trash removed. The room condition was poor. The coffee maker did not work, the shower had mold all over the tile & grout. The shower head sprayed water everywhere except where it should have been. There was only a light at the doorway and one small table light that did little to light up the entire room. The bed covers consisted of a sheet and a bed spread. The satellite TV channels were lacking and no news channels available. The parking lot was cratered with potholes. This is the worst place we have ever booked through Hotels.com, especially considering the 130$ per night rate.

The place was disgusting, the dirties place I’ve ever been to. I could not sleep there. I asked the front desk for my money back and they didn’t want to pay me back. They advertise one thing and they have another. They took my money for one week stay and I could not have my family sleep there, I asked the front desk lady to give me my reimbursement because it’s NOT what they advertised and she did not even care. She said SORRY I’m a Russian accent.
The place is miserable.

They had no trashcan in the room. There were mysterious crumbs next to one side of the bed. The mattress felt old. At times the hallway smelled like fish.

Conversated with the owner. Rooms are beautiful. Bed was so comfortable. Restaurant on-site. Definitely recommend!
