The bell tent itself was brilliant
Mattresses on the floor with clean sheets ready to go. Kicthen has everything you needed for a hot drink fridges microwave and picnics bench outside every tent.
Walking to the toilet during the night but as i have never been camping before
I didn't know what to expect, kicthen area was a little muddy until you reach decking area

The shower and toilet facilities were really nice.
Price was great.
Having a soft play on site and some other things were also nice.
The smell. The tent stank of mould and damp. Aired for an hour but still had to go buy a spray from the shop as considered just leaving as I had my 9 year olds with me. The spray made it bearable. Bit disappointed with the response from the owner. I asked if it was ok to leave the tent open while we left as it smelt bad and they just said yes that’s fine.
The cost of the soft play and crazy golf. Very pricey.
We stayed on a Sunday night but didn’t realise everything shut at 5pm so had to eat out.

Comfy, spacious tent. Good facilities on site. Friendly owners. Kitchenette area was great idea. Kettle, toaster, microwave, fridges all for bell tent use.

Tent had strong mold smell.

The bell tent we stayed in was very nice exactly like the pictures and clean, also very comfortable and plenty of room too.
We couldn’t fault our stay at all ☺️

I liked the site as a whole was great and the location.
I think the facilities could be better planned ie sink in the communal kitchen area rather than separate place. Also I expected the Bell tents to be a little more luxurious than they were. Maybe more effort and larger communal area and some more facilities for children to play would be good.

The staff were lovely and friendly. Facilities were great and location was good.
There was a huge poo on the ground right outside the bell tent to the back. It made the place smell awful. And was not good for the kids with us who were playing in the grass. There was black mould growing on the tent material too. You could see they had tried to clean it but only half way up - this is definitely not good for kids to be in especially. Or those with compromised immune systems. I have paid the Same amount elsewhere and had incredible accommodation: this was not worth the £120 per night we paid. Disappointed.

Tents were really clean and comfortable.
Kitchen tent could have been cleaner but it was very wet when we were there which didn’t help also some campers didn’t clean up after using facility’s which is very annoying.

The location is great and the staff can’t do enough to help you. The tents are a good size and have everything you need inside.
The beds are past their prime in our opinion, the mattresses were too soft and so my husband and I didn’t sleep well at all. This meant we spent a lot of the trip over tired and/or trying to snatch sleep in the daytime. There was also a wasp problem while we were there. We appreciate this is not the venue or the staff’s fault but it made it impossible to make use of the outdoor space or eat outside. We ended up leaving early because of these two issues.

It was what we wanted, to share a tent, have it all ready and set up for us.
Liked the pub on site. Lovely staff and food.
Liked the play area and crazy gold. Very clean and well maintained.
Liked the assault courses.
Generally loved by the kids!
It was easy to get to and near a lot of places we wanted to visit eg zoo and Winchester science museum.
We didn’t get a shelf in the fridge and others seem to take over the fridge. I wasn’t keen on sharing a shelf with strangers.
Toilets were slightly far away (across half the field) which isn’t a problem when during the day, but night times with little ones and when raining, slightly inconvenient.
The tent itself was slightly grubby and inside of the tent looked mouldy. We did bring it up but was advised it was just dirt on the roof of bell tent (it looked clean on the outside). If we were there longer than 2 days I probably wouldn’t want that tent to be honest.

Kind helpful staff, made our stay more enjoyable

Tent
Mattresses ! Suggest a big improvement would be to put proper beds in the tent rather than a mattress on the floor. Not sure why it's labelled as 'glamping' when it's very basic ?

Absolutely nothing - not at all as advertised/detailed on Booking.com Write up on this site was totally misleading and incorrect
As above absolutely awful site - awful factifies/location/cleanliness could not stay and had to leave and find other accommodation. Full details will be sent in a formal complaint to Booking.com

The staff were brilliant and accommodated us exceptionally well considering Booking.com messed up. I cannot fault the venue at all. The problem was booking.com of which I will not be using to book places again.
When we arrived reception had no confirmation of our booking at all!!! I was not impressed as I have a confirmed confirmation sent through to me back in Feb of 2023. T
Our stay was July 2023 so we booked plenty of time in advance. Luckily the staff were so friendly and helpful they managed to fit us in at the Marwell Safari tents which were fantastic. If it wasn't for the staff we would have been left without a place to say which is unacceptable.

The bell tents, the surrounding area.
The camp was clean and staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend to people and i would definitely return.
Grass needed cutting around tent so kids can see the pegs going into the facility polly tunnel
The shower pressure was dreadful if more than 2 people are in using others.
Have a sink in the facility polly tunnel to make washing up easier.

We did our own breakfast. There was a nice pub we could have used. We used it for drinks and chips
Everything was good

Very nice - well laid out, comfortable, warm, power and cool box & ice packs available. Kitchen tent was great! tent was waterproof against downpour too!
The toilets were a few mins walk away, but not a big issue.

Made to feel very welcome, and at home.
It was the end of the season so to be expected, but the on-site bar/restaurant closed at 2.30pm. It was a long walk to the local pub.

On site staff very helpful with making sure we had everything we needed (I bought citronella candle, borrowed kitchen utensils and a marshmallow/chic pack for the kids - at great value for money)
We will be back! Little extra touches with fake pants /seating really made a difference
