Perfect small and cosy villa on the west bank in Luxor. We loved this place, felt like home with so many different places to sit and relax. Around the pool, on the rooftop, in the garden, etc...
The staff was really helpful, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. When one day we mentioned we were not fan of guava, they made a point to remember and always switch to other fruits for us.
A place to go back to, for sure.
The neighbour is really nice, not as crowded as the east bank, way more authentic, at the border of some farms but still 5min walking distance from the ferry and some very nice cafes and restaurants. Perfect for us
- It was not an issue for us but the villa is just behind the Mosque so expect the call for the prayer early in the morning. But it's the best wake up call to visit the temples and tombs early before the big tours and the heat :D
- Some of the facilities could be refreshed (for example a small access trap for the pool filter that open when we walked on it and nearly made us fall). But it's not a big deal

A traditional style hotel comprising several buildings around a pool and garden. A lot of attention has been given to authenticity rather than everything looking perfect. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom and small but adequate balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was ample though some fruit would have been appreciated. We had a nice and substantial meal on our first night. The staff were friendly and helpful and organised drivers to local sites for us. The hotel is on a quiet street - except for the nearby mosque - and maybe 5 minutes walk from local cafes and restaurants and another 5 minutes to the ferry across to the temples.

The ambiance and beautiful oasis like garden.

Very helpful staff. Beds were comfortable and bed linen was spotlessly clean. Room had and lovely view and wonderful terraces around the hotel. Garden was cool and shaded.

The Villa is very well made in local Egyptian style furniture and decoration. It also has a well maintained and clean swimming pool. The entrance and common areas are green with comfortable seating especially for after a hot day.
The rooms were a bit dusty and needed proper cleaning. The food was pretty basic and the staff was a bit disinterested in any requests. Also, think about reserving a taxi to and from the airport if needed, since the location is a bit isolated from the hustle bustle.

Breakfast was very good, the inner yard is great and the pool was a plus. The dinner also great. The house had a very nice distribution, full of seating corners and terraces with great views. The atmosphere is very relaxing and feels authentic. The staff was very friendly
The place needs a bit of maintenance, some terrace furniture and other things in the room were damaged

Very peaceful place to stay in the exhausting Luxor. The hotel is very beautiful and our room was nice.
When the praying at the mosque starts at dawn, it seems like the muezzin is right inside the room waking you up.

it was our best stay in Egypt. Mr Costa was very sweet and helpful.

The hotel is very nice, silent and the room big.
In general although the facility is very nice it looked a little bit shubby.

The guesthouse is absolutely gorgeous and the staff super friendly and helpful! Love the area, which is more local than touristic, but with good access to the East bank via boat. Great food! Would definitely visit again!
The room is very basic and dark, but pleasant. The shower door and shower head could do with some urgent maintenance as the bathroom was under water after each shower. There is a mosque right next door, so you will get a very loud wake-up call at 5am from the muezzin! ;)

Great location, authentic experience, excellent food and friendly staff! Highly recommended

We stayed for 3 days and it was short.
Fairytale atmosphere of the house, nearby are boats for crossing to the east side (where luxor and Karnak are located) authentic environment, cafes on the coast, beautiful terraces overlooking the Nile. Easy to catch a taxi to the Valley of the Kings, Deira El Medina, Village... The hosts are fantastic people who will help you with everything. If you have time, you need to go on a trip to Dandara and Abidos.
Internet is great!
Be sure to have dinner in the villa.
Incredibly delicious.
Thank you, Kosta!!!!
This is a true Egyptian-African experience
We hope to see you again.

- very friendly and helpful staff
- beautiful exteriors and interiors with balconies, flowers etc.
- delicious complimentary breakfast and great options for lunch/dinner
- perfect location to visit sights on the West Bank
- rooms are not well insulated, so noises from the outside can be very loud at times
- could be a little bit cleaner

Beautiful place, very quiet, outside of the city center but not far from it and you still get an easy access to all the temples and places to visit.
All the staff was very nice, very helpful.
The restaurant serves great food and really affordable.
Just a really relaxing place to stay in, we really enjoyed it and recommend it.
The shower could be more convenient, the shower door wasn't closing very well.

The facilities of the Villa Nile House are great. It is a rambling collection of rooms on different levels with stairways running up and down. It all surrounds a pool and sitting area. As it is on the West bank of the Nile, it is far quieter than the East. It is a few minute walk to the ferries that cross the river at all hours. Easy access to downtown Luxor. Our room was large with a large bathroom and plenty of hot water. We had a private terrace as well. Clean and comfortable and a little bit funky. We had breakfast included and it was served on the terrace. Great food and lots of it. We also had dinner there two nights. No need to go elsewhere. Finally, a big thanks to Mohammad. He was a great help.
Only three things. One is that it should be better signed. It can be hard to find. And second (which there is nothing you can do about) is that there is a mosque very nearby and the call-to-prayer is kind of loud. And, finally (which there is nothing you can do about) is the Egyptian wine and liquor. Not the Villa Nile's fault but good luck finding something drinkable.

Lovely site a couple of blocks from the Nile on the West Bank. Beautiful garden setting, quiet, and peaceful.
Loved it all!

Had a great stay at Villa Nile Luxor House !
I didn't like leaving.
4.5
Very friendly staff.
I found the building and the courtyard with the pool really beautiful and relaxing.
Even got lemonades while sitting in the pool.
I found the location not quite ideal because the mosque close by is quite loud and because the public ferry is a bit far away.

Management and staff were polite, friendly and helped us by answering any question we had regarding the local area. It made our stay an absolute pleasure.
The hotel itself is a wonderful site, with lovely buildings, courtyards, balconies and a beautiful refreshing pool. It really is a beautiful place to stay. The location was perfect - right in the centre of the relaxing oasis of the West bank and just around the corner to the Nile and boats.
Staying on the West Bank was a great decision as you are 5 minutes from the centre of Luxor by boat and you are not living in the hassle and noise of the centre.
The room was large and was decorated beautifully - with a domed ceiling and coloured glass. Our balcony overlooked the courtyard and was a smashing place to relax after a day in the sun.
We ordered dinner one night and it was both local and delicious. We loved our stay so much we decided to extend by another night. Many thanks to Costas and his staff for a wonderful stay.
Nothing really, the hotel is close to a mosque - but you're never very far away from those in Egypt! Call to prayer was fairly loud but we didn't notice it after the first day. Very hard to think of any negatives about this place.

location is lovely, Mohammad was very helpful. it has a gorgeous courtyard and food they prepare is really good.
we came in January and it was unusually cold, so the room was cold and not super comfortable to sleep. i think this place is wonderful during warmer days!
4.5
Location was right on the nile river, very close to the public ferry to get across. Great breakfast. Helpful staff that can organize bike rentals.
pool was not usable, but it was the wrong season, so that is ok.
4.5
Very helpful staff, Very good food, spacious room and bathroom, swimming pool within secured compound.
4.5
It’s in a quiet area. Common areas decorated nicely. Pool was clean, slightly warmed so it was possible to get in during the heat of the day. Mohammed booked our tour guide for us and it worked out well. Unfortunately, the local Mosque is right next door, and the call to prayer comes on at 4:45 a.m., again around 6:30a.m. And throughout the day. It’s quite loud.
Bed felt a bit hard for us.
4.5
Best dinner I had in Egypt. Very friendly and helpful but not pushy staff. I stayed as a single woman and felt welcome and safe. And the place is just beautiful. You get much more than what you pay for. Not super for party people as it is nice and quiet.
