Our family loved staying at your beautiful home on the lake. Sitting on the upper deck with coffee, and the morning light on the lake was a wonderful way to start the day. After breakfast the kids and most of the adults spent the days playing in the water, paddle boarding, peddle boating and fishing. The home was stocked with anything we needed or wanted, and couldn't have been more welcoming. Ellen was super nice and responded quickly to any questions we had.
We would love to go again.

The entire experience was just right on! The property is nicely remodeled and everything worked great. 11 of us had plenty of space to stretch out. The dock area being deep in the cove was great for the kids! Interaction with our host was quick and very satisfying, They even provided towels for outside. Also, lots of shade which I really appreciate these days.

Lovely, peaceful, large lakefront property with mature trees on a cove with lots of water toys. Most popular were the paddle boards which none of us had done before. Enjoyed paddling the grands around the cove and to the nearby beach. Appreciated the many life jackets provided. Had fun fishing off the dock, making smores in the firepit, peddle boating around the cove, feeding the turtles, swans, ducks and fish, waking up with morning tea on the deck, watching the sun set at the dock, swimming at the club pool and beach, walking around the neighborhood, cooking steaks on the grill, having Fathers Day dinner at the club and having sushi at Tokyo restaurant. Hosts were attentive and very easy to work with. Thanks to the hot tub maintenance man for the fish! Very professional and pleasant to talk with! We had perfect weather, a wonderfully fun week and will cherish the memories.

Great place for our family with lots of amenities.
Owners very accommodating. The house is beautiful and loved looking at the sunset from the lake. We hiked and saw Thomas Jefferson’s house and visited DC. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place! Great memories for grandchildren!

The house was beautiful! Everything you need was there. Lots of towels, lake towels, lake toys (paddle boards, floats, fishing gear). Plenty of room to fit our group of 13. Hot tub was a HUGE hit! Owner was so quick to respond to the questions I had. Would highly recommend!!

Our group of 16 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever been in (and I’ve stayed in many rental properties over the years!), and it was very-well equipped, both in terms of toiletries and towels, etc., and many other items that were just thoughtful—such as sunscreen, goggles and even flip-flops to borrow. There were a few toys that were perfect for the kids in our party, and the rafts, paddle boards and peddle boat were thoroughly enjoyed by all. There is also a little public access beach a short swim or paddle board ride away that was great fun for the littlest members of our group. It was also a super easy drive from the DC/NoVA area. I can definitely see us going back again.

My extended family (16 people tanging from age 11-80) had a wonderful vacation at this house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The water toys were great! We enjoyed the stand up paddle boards. And the hot tub was a favorite for all is us! We can definitely see our group returning to this location again!

Beautiful, clean home in a quiet spot of a safe neighborhood. Loved that it was right on the lake and had a variety of things for our friends to do - hot tub, paddle board, hammock, games/puzzles inside. Plenty of bed spots, and great sized kitchen for a large group to socialize/gather. Hosts were super responsive and helpful too.

What a great home for families! We stayed here with another family. It was clean, organized, and very comfortable. Our hosts, Ellen and Steve, were courteous, kind in communication, and their attractive home was well organized with plenty of kitchen ware, clean towels, life vests (for our polar plunge), sheets, sound machines, etc. It is clear they take great pride in their home and want others to enjoy it as much as they do. We highly recommend this location- a beautiful view of the lake in the morning for coffee. We traveled here for a wedding and if we head back here from CT, we would definitely stay here again.

Fourteen members of our family traveled from NJ, PA, and NC to the Richard’s Lake of the Woods home to celebrate Thanksgiving. The Richard’s property did not disappoint…we had an incredible time!
The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need to make a feast for a large group. There were plenty of activities in the house to keep the little ones and the big ones busy. (Cornhole, board games, basketball game, and water toys) Oh and let’s not forget the hot tub! The two televisions allowed for the cooks to watch the Thanksgiving parade while cooking and the others to watch the World Cup downstairs! Win! Win!
The surrounding community offered opportunities for trips to the playground for the younger members of the group and a few rounds of pickle ball and golf for the adults.
The views from the large deck and sun room of the lake and fail foliage were absolutely breathtaking!
Communication was seamless between myself and our hosts. The Richard family went above and beyond to be accommodating hosts.
We would absolutely welcome the opportunity to return to this property and highly recommend it!

The property is as large and accommodating and clean and inviting as the pictures show. It has all you need for a large family vacation. A big kitchen, lots of get together space and lots of bedrooms.
We were well informed at every stage and Ellen was very prompt and courteous in responding to our questions.
A great getaway to enjoy the Lake of the Woods in the fall.

A great weekend with our soccer family. Stayed in town for a soccer tournament with three other families. All complimented how clean the house was, how the homeowner provided towels, linens, water toys, etc. and she was easy to communicate with. Enjoyed our stay and we hope to be back next year.

We had an incredible time staying at this vrbo! There was plenty to do despite unlucky weather. Highlights included the hot tub, inflatables, and a huge variety of games!

I'd love to start with the house and it's amazing rooms, view and amenities but the star here is Ellen. The communication from start to finish and in between was on point. This was a work trip for several colleagues but it became more team building as we shared meals, sunset over the lake and stand up paddle board rides. The home is much better than the already great description. You won't want anything additional other than another night at her property.

We actually live close to this home but we rented it because our house caught fire and we needed a large enough home to sleep 8. We got way more then that. We had a very spacious place for all of us to relax and let go of the anxiety and stress we were under. The owners were VERY responsive and helpful! The pictures do not do the home justice, everything was beautiful and perfect! The owners thought of absolutely everything a family could want or need to have an amazing family vacation. The little touches were a surprise like lollipops for the kids, books, games, floaties, sunglasses...everything was just perfect!
We plan on renting this home again a couple times a year as little getaways, we loved it that much!
