Tyrala at LKA
Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'
Located on a vast cove off Contrary Creek, Tyrala is where you and your family can safely swim, float, fish, paddleboard, canoe, and kayak, all while being free from the noise and traffic of boats and jet skis. The entire cove is a no-wake zone, as is the channel leading to the cove from Contrary Creek. If you feel like venturing out, downtown Mineral is only a little more than five miles away and boasts local restaurants and parks to explore. On the subject of scenic adventures, Lake Anna State Park is a short drive north. Bring some supplies from the nearby grocery stores and have a picnic along the water before going on a stroll through the park. Wineries and mini-golf are additional options the whole group can enjoy together before returning.
Your beautiful vacation home sports two-story ceilings on the main level and dining rooms and an open floor plan. The vast windows open the house to spectacular lake views while comfortably lounging. The two family rooms promise there won't be a dull moment, thanks mainly to the Ping-Pong table, the DVD library, and a closet full of games and puzzles. There are also three cable TVs for enjoying your favorite shows, and the family room has a smart TV to access streaming services. When you're hungry, the modern kitchen will welcome the group chef with its granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, which include an oven with a separate warming drawer, a new dishwasher, a microwave, and a French-door refrigerator. Share a family meal at the expansive, rustic dining table or at the kitchen island. Better yet, dine alfresco day or night on the deck with a large tile-top table and umbrella. Feel free to sear your favorite foods on the grill there, too.
Tyrala's private dock has a large, off-set umbrella and outdoor chairs (with cushions stored in the boat house), badminton and speedminton racquets (and a net), and an open boat slip in the boathouse for guests to shelter their watercraft. Make memories around the lakeside firepit on those balmy summer nights. Stargaze together as you laze in the Adirondack chairs while keeping your cocktails and s'mores handy on the custom-made tree stump tables around the firepit. Serenity can also be found on the front porch rocking chairs.
For added convenience, a community boat launch is available only to renters of the Freshwater Estates homeowners and guests less than one mile from home. This vacation rental is nestled on the public side of Lake Anna.

I'm so glad we did not listen to the negative reviews. The house was wonderful and met our needs very well. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. The extra fridge in the basement was perfect for storing drinks and ice. The house is on a very quiet cove which was great for letting people swim off the dock.

We loved the boat house and dock. Great quiet cove for swimming and kayaking. Master bath is outstanding! Plenty of space for our family of 6. Enjoyed the grill and outdoor seating and loved the fire pit! Large kitchen for cooking and 2 large refrigerators. Plenty of comfortable furniture and excellent central air! We all really enjoyed our stay!

Went to celebrate our anniversary. Very slow internet, weak phone coverage. Hard to communicate. “Additional” costs were ludicrous. Paid 85% extra in fees & taxes.
Communications frustrating. On arrival, entry code incorrect. Took half hour to get in. Local guest services rep, Breanna, available 1 day out of 4. Not responsive to our concerns.
Many problems with the place. Dining room light not working, poor wifi, sliding glass door broken, deck not swept & had cobwebs, 2 remote controls batteries didn’t work. Guest bathroom toilet started to leak nonstop & same bathroom & adjacent guest bedroom had no power after 1st day. On last morning (Mother’s Day) there was NO WATER. We hauled water from lake to flush toilets, but could not shower. I received a call that went to voicemail (because of the poor reception, of course!) stating we needed to leave the home at our regularly scheduled time. Outrageous, given that this was an issue with the house itself. No consideration for clients who need to get showered, use the toilet, wash up, clean dishes!
I will NEVER again stay at a place that is managed by VACASA and never again at this specific home.
What happened should NOT have happened. And I even sent a final text to Breanna, explaining some of our frustrations, to which I received NO REPLY. Vacasa has serious issues to address & the owner of this place should be extremely upset & agitated with them.
Be warned. Choose another place, and one not managed by VACASA.

The view of the Lake from the master bedroom and patio were beautiful and the ice machine made ice. We checked in at 5pm and there was a mountain of trash spilling over from the bins. 15 minutes later someone from Vacasa came to fix the dishwasher. We were completely unaware and it was very uncomfortable having a stranger in the house as we were getting settled. After 30 minutes, we decided to leave to get groceries. When we returned, our code no longer worked and we realized we were locked out of the house! We spent 35 minutes outside, in the dark, on the phone while someone from the “help desk” tried to find our reservation. It was very scary and the smaller children were very afraid. I asked to have the property manager call us the next day (to at least apologize for the trouble), but no one ever did. Our bedroom smelled like a family of cats used it as their liter box (basement Queen bedroom) so midweek my wife and I each took a bunk in the kids room. The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were worse. The sofas were the most comfortable pieces of furniture in the house, but they had stains.

We loved almost everything about our trip and this house!
House was well equipped and super clean.
Our only complaints was the beds were uncomfortable to us. The cove was also very shallow for our boat so we drudged mud and hit a downed tree.

Beautiful place next to a lake.
House was big and clean what you see on pictures is what you get.
There were 2 kayaks to be used and paddle board as well.
I was surprised how well equipped was the kitchen.
Definitely I will stay at this house in the future.

Great house I'm front of the lake. Private deck, fire pit, bbq and all you need to enjoy outdoors. Only downside is you can't swim into the part of the lake in front of the house due to algae.
Two story house, typical rural construction where walking on the first floor makes s lot of noise downstairs but good size bedrooms and area in general.

We love lake Anna for our family trips! Check in was very easy! Rooms were spacious and the porch was very inviting. Made memories fishing off the dock and taking trips around the lake with the kayaks provided. Traded stories around the fire and will talking about this trip for years to come!!

Fun and relaxing
Comfortable and clean. Nicely decorated. Nice quiet place in a cove. Wish we would have had kayaks or paddle boards with us to enjoy the water. I would rent this place again.

Nice home with everything you need
This home was well equipped and in great condition. Very clean, and spacious for our guests. We had 8 adults and 3 children. Here are a few things potential guests should know -- 1. the hill down to the water is steep, so you may want to consider renting a golf cart for elderly guests (if possible). 2. the cove is very quiet. This was perfect for us, but may not be what other groups are looking for if you want more of an active atmosphere. 3. The wifi is spotty and unreliable. 4. There is plenty of seating for large family meals.

Great time!
Our party of 10 had ample space in this comfortably furnished open concept home. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, deck, dock, everything made our vacation enjoyable. Modern paint color and carpet, upscale kitchen and updated bathrooms. We had ample space for everyone. We highly recommend this property.

Great place!
This house was everything we needed for a short couple days at the lake. While we didn’t have great weather, the house made up for it! There was plenty of room and the kitchen was stocked with the necessities. I would definitely take a group here again!

Great home and location. Some improvement needed.
Overall loved the home and great location. Loved the master bedroom, kitchen and great room.
The house could use some TLC. The rugs need replacement. Chairs on dock are falling apart and suggest owner just remove. Grill did not work, nor did umbrella on dock. WiFi spotty. The trampoline swimming float, shown in pictures was not present. We inquired about availability and never heard back from

Beautiful lake and house
The house exceeded our expectations. It was huge and beautiful. It was very clean. We loved all the room, the ping pong table, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook everything you want (even a hand mixer and rolling pin)! The fire pit is beautiful, the dock is safe and well kept, the kayak works great. The lake is wonderful. As other reviewers have said the cove is shallow so careful with your boat (if you have an inboard you’ll have problems) but it wasn’t a big deal we ended up parking The boat elsewhere. The gravel driveway down to the dock is quite steep so I don’t recommend if you have people who aren’t steady on their feet. Otherwise it was all great.

Amazing House/ Amazing Weekend
Loved the house and had a fantastic time there. Could have easily fit more, but was very nice with only 8 people and plenty of room. Kitchen had everything you need, living room was great for relaxing and the deck was perfect for dinner.
Only two things to note, which wouldn’t prevent me from going back. The WiFi was pretty spotty and didn’t have much service with t Mobile so keep that in mind. Second, there is a somewhat steep hill from the house to the bon fire pit area. Keep in mind if traveling with elderly individuals or with troubles walking.
10 out of 10! Thank you again.

Wonderful house on the lake
This house was perfect for our three generation family. Everyone had plenty of space and things to do. The kitchen was very well equipped. The cove on the lake was quiet and perfect to go out in the provided kayak.

Great Trip
The home was wonderful. Private small cove, good views, kitchen and supplies were good. Clean etc. Needs a bit of TLC as the fan control in the master is missing so the fan cannot be turned on. Other living spaces were great. Note if you boat, the water level just off the dock towards the left and other boat docks can be a bit treacherous in that there are logs just below the water line, that area to the right as you leave the dock for about 15 feet in front of the other docks use extreme caution. There is also a sand bar towards the middle and is marked with what looks like painted rebar, use caution there as well as it is quite shallow. It is tricky to navigate that small area. But doable.

Great family stay
We loved our weekend here! We had a wonderful trip and our family thought the house was amazing! Super clean and direct access to the lake. Only things to note are that the walk to the lake/boat house is steep and full of rocks that make it easy to fall. Additionally, the back sliding door did not lock and was broken when we stayed.
Otherwise though, great stay! Will definitely stay again!
