Poor pillows, I asked for more TP and a lightbulb as well as a blanket. Fan in the bathroom did not work. Room overall was dark. Could use a light by the desk. Breakfast was ok. Staff was very friendly. Could be cleaner

Facilty was fine. Breakfast was very basic

no frills hotel. We had a quiet room but had a problem with our door not locking but the nice front desk man fixed it. Close to downtown.

Hotel was very dated and in dire need of many updates. The bathtub was horrible. This hotel was most definitely not worth the amount of money they were charging.

Can't beat the view. For a guy traveling solo this place is borderline tolerable. Wouldn't take a female that I wanted to impress here.

Property is in need updating. The bath fan didn't work and the room lacked lighting ( only had 2 table lamps)

I had to change rooms on my 2nd night do to a mix up on my part. The staff (Danielle) was very helpful in making this as easy as possible! All of the staff were friendly and helpful

The front desk workers we extremely friendly! They are an asset to have working for you!

They tried to give me a single bed room, even though I booked a two bed. They did swap me rooms when I went back to the front desk and the lady up front was very kind and helpful. The morning we were supposed to check out, housekeeping entered at 10am when we were still sleeping and woke us up even though checkout was not until 11. I've never had that happen at any other hotel and was quite unsettling. It was clean and quiet besides those two weird things that happened.

Room is outdated, bugs in the shower. The “hot” breakfast was cold and not much to choose from. The floor in the room was dirty, for the price we were charged and the pictures this property is not as advertised. Make this a last choice for sure

The rooms were very dated and the pictures posted online aren't reflective of the rooms and they hide features of a poorly maintained hotel room. Breakfast was similarly poor quality

Property was a mess, room was not clean (plastic cutlery left on floor, mildew growing around tub surround that was not sealed around the tub, marks on the walls), had to request new pillows because the ones on the bed were stained. Hallways are dark and not well lit.
Shame that such a beautiful spot is not taken care of.

Place has anice location but needs some improvement. Parking lot old and cracked. Needs a refresh on the exterior . Inside hallways needs repairs and new paint.

Bath tub had gross pealing paint. Needs extreme updating. Very old and rundown. Don’t waste your money.

It was ok, but definitely charged too much for what you get. The lake view was preceded by a parking lot and a busy road. Staff was pleasant, breakfast was so so. I felt ripped off, paying close to $300, when I have stayed at other hotels for a third the price and equal property.

Stayed for one night prior to moving my daughter into her dorm.

They ran out of some items for the breakfast bar and said they usually run out by Wednesday. If this is a known fact, why not order a bit more to last through to the next delivery?
Highway noise, but lessened at night. Ok for what we needed

Super cute place!
Conveniently located close to town!

This hotel is in great need of a major overhaul. The room smelled awful right when we opened the door. The bathroom was in disrepair. The towels were so rough it hurt to dry off. We could hear the people above us walking around very clearly all night. The only good point was the view of the lake, but their laundry truck blocked our view most of the time. I would add a picture that I took of the tub if I could.

For the most part we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, great location for our needs, and wonderful staff. Only issues were: all movement in room above was heard and felt (it felt like our room shook as they paced) and breakfast was hit or miss. When it was stocked, it was good.

Very old bathtub needs resurfaced caulk around tub was chipped out curtains falling off the rod tv wouldn’t turn off towels old and rough beds very old uncomfortable carpet dirty not anywhere near a $250 / night room
Whole place needs a redo

The mouse in the room was a fun experience. The bathroom was deteriorating. You can hear the people walking upstairs. Located next to a prison.

Really appreciated the staff - when we asked for better pillows the second night, they brought us two premium ones that were brand new. The only downside was the breakfast. The morning staff was too small and food wasn’t out when more than a few people showed up.

Never stay in the back left stand alone building. Beds wriggle if anybody in the building walks around. Seriously. Unsettling. Main building I’ve stayed in a few years ago and no complaints.

This was the most expensive hotel I stayed in while in the U.P. but it was the worst of the 4 hotels I was in. The pictures of the hotel lead me to believe it was nicer than it was. The outside door didn't lock, towels were threadbare. At least the coffee was good.

Good location. Good parking. Room was good except shower pressure wasn’t great. Beautiful view of Lake Superior but nowhere at all to sit outside which was unfortunate. Breakfasts were terrible. They tried to do 1 or 2 hot items but they were cold, overcooked, gross, and with zero condiments available.

Mattresses are older but slept well. Breakfast is very basic, powder eggs, toast, cereal.
4.0
There was limited toilet paper in the room, no soaps, the TV didn't work and the coffee maker was broken.

The online description did not adequately describe this motel. The bathtub was painted by peeling everywhere, the carpets were dirty, and the corridors were filthy. The beds were uncomfortable and squeaky, and the breakfast was non-existent. I'd pay more for a nicer place next time.

Ok place if you just need a place to sleep for a night. Reasonably clean.

Honestly such a beautiful location. Sunrise was great. There was a lot of car noise from the highway, I’m glad I packed my fan to lessen the highway noise. The room appeared clean, surfaces wiped down but I did find hair in the bathroom and shower. The shower water was hot, which is a bonus! The fridge and microwave were clean. Most importantly, the other guests staying at the hotel were respectful. This hotel cost a few hundred dollars for the night which felt like a crime for the experience, but it is all apart of the UP adventure. The vibe of the place felt like one step above a campground. The property was lovely with trees and water views with plenty of room to walk around.

Sam the check in host most excellent, morning girl not so much. Breakfast foods cold, or non existent. She wouldn’t bring fresh food for older people but when three young guys came in, wallah, restocked immediately. She shouldn’t be in the service industry, nit a good fit. Sam however should be, a natural people person.

Room smelled bad. Garbage on the floor. Bed was broke. AC wasnt good. The outside door was unable to secure. Outside garbage cans were full and attracting animal. Front desk did switch rooms for us. Second room also smelled and AC wasnt good. We went for the breakfast 40 mins before it ended and there was nothing there, not a peice of fruit or a muffin or anything. We were extremely unsatisfied with the whole experience. Worst stay ever

We brought our dogs so are always limited where we can stay. This place was conveniently located about 2 miles from town and if you can cross the busy highway (we’d go in the mornings for less traffic) there is a lovely walking path and water view across the street that leads straight to downtown Marquette. The room itself was fine for us, a little outdated but we were just using it as a place to crash after being out and about all day. Their pet deposit is more reasonable than a lot of places and they do provide breakfast, although there are so many good local breakfast spots in Marquette not sure why you’d waste it on a hotel one. Would definitely stay here again .
