About this house rental
As of October 2023, there is a new house being constructed at the adjacent property, we do not have the project details or timeline, and current rates are reflective of this information.
This spectacular 5-bedroom Kiawah Island vacation rental is located directly across the street from the famed Ocean Course, steps away from the beach access point, and is less than a 7-minute walk to the sand. With a private pool, spa, elevator, and decks off almost every room (including a screened porch), this home has it all for a memorable vacation.
Enter this house and immediately be awed by the light and bright four-story staircase connecting all the floors. The main living areas are on the second floor. To the left is a sitting room, with sliding doors onto a deck facing the front of the house. To the right is the dining room, also with sliding doors to another deck.
Continuing through the house you will find the very large main living space which has plentiful comfortable seating options, a large TV and a wall of French doors opening to the sun-drenched deck and pool area, lined with lounge chairs and sofas around the large pool. The deck includes a summer kitchen with gas grill, fridge, sink, and dining table. There is also a pool house with a full bathroom, and a ping pong table for friendly competitions.
The well-equipped kitchen features granite countertops, quality appliances, and cabinets. Step up from the kitchen to a copper domed breakfast room surrounded by windows, overlooking the pool and deck. Also off the kitchen is a screened in porch and office area.
The master bedroom is also on this floor with a king bed, TV, and a private bathroom with a large soaking tub. The bedroom has windows on two walls and opens to the pool deck. All rooms on this level are equipped with a Sonos sound system that guests can connect to through wifi.
Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, spacious closets, and private decks. Two of these bedrooms have queen beds, and the third has two twins.
Another spacious living area with wet bar and TV awaits on the top level of the house. This level includes another bedroom with two twin beds, a full bathroom, and the living area includes a sleeper sofa and a deck. This level would be great for a family, or for kids/teens to have their own space.
Non-shedding, house-trained dogs under 50lbs (max. of two dogs) are welcome for an additional fee of $50 per pet per day. There is an enclosed dog run off the back deck, and the East Beach dog zone is a 7-minute walk away.
The home is equipped with washer, dryer and high-speed wireless internet.
The spa can be heated for an additional $75/per day.
The pool has an electric heater, so it may be heated in cooler months for $75/per day. It can take 24-48 hours for the water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available.
Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $400. You may use your credit for bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, and more – the choice is yours!

Great location. Perfect for a few couples. Needs a bit of an update but overall a great week.

The place had plenty things to do like ping pong, pool, hot tub. It was a7 minute walk to beach. The place was run down. The door knob to the door out to the great deck area kept falling off every time anyone opened the door. The third floor AC was not working when we arrived. It was repaired by 5:00 pm the next day but was hot as an oven the first night my family slept there. The third floor ceiling area was mildewed and you could smell mildew in areas of the house. There was a tv in 2 bedrooms and the den. Three bedrooms did not have tvs in them. The den which is the main gathering area in the house did not have enough furniture for my family to sit in. The outdoor deck/pool area was the greatest thing about this house. We did stay in that area most of the time. I would not rent this house again because of the mildew smell.

Reviewer Comments:
The house is in a fantastic location with a great lay out. We really liked the pool and deck area, but our rental stay had many problems. The house was dirty upon arrival. The garage was filled with debris and **** roaches. The kitchen was dirty with grimy counters, a filled dishwasher, and coffee in the microwave, and the washer and dryer were both filled with wet towels. Additionally, the house is showing a ton of wear and tear including peeling paint in all the upstairs bathrooms, stained carpets, and many of the shower and sink knobs are broken. One of the upstairs bedrooms also had several pieces of copper wire in the carpet that one of our guests stepped on, and another guest stepped on a loose nail on the pool deck. Someone manually turned the pool heater down to 76, making the heated pool we paid for virtually unusable, and the hot tub broke in our first day. We had service people at the house almost daily. The absolute worst part of the stay was waking up to a cockroach crawling on one of our arms at night, and seeing many other cockroaches around the property. Carpets and bedding were stained. I would not rent this property again, unless the owners were willing to give it a serious overhaul.
