We owned the house next door for 15 years and dear friends owned this house. We felt very comfortable and at home immediately. All experiences were good.
4.4
Great stay and as advertised. We loved the views of the mountains, the great room, and the upper deck. We used the grill for every meal and enjoyed the hot tub. There were so many trails nearby for easy access. Davis was a cute town, too. If we are ever in the area, we would come back! Very responsive on AirB&B!

Had a great time. Very homey. Spa had funky smell (not chemicals). New mattresses would improve the stay significantly. Easy. Very communicative.
4.4
Thanks Good communication, though some inconsistencies on provided information (i.e. one checkout sheet said set thermostats to 60 while another said 55)

The fireplace was one of the best features. We made smores by the fire a couple of nights :)
I really enjoyed this trip! The views were beautiful and the comfort of the home added to our experience. Matt was so great! We had a COVID exposure that pushed our trip back at the last minute and he was so accommodating. He was quick to respond and answered all my questions about the house and town.

The hot tub and the view!!!
This was an amazing place to recharge! Smooth and safe!

The living room with full windows view was amazing. Also loved the hot tub.

There were multiple beds that had stains on the sheets.
Some of the blinds would not close or open properly. It would have been nice to receive the check in information prior to arriving at the rental office. We were meeting another family and could not communicate the gate code to them because there was no cell service.

We loved the view and the location. The rooms were perfect and the living room and kitchen were very open and large. My only issue is the last day it was pretty hot and only half the windows opened and it was the only day we needed AC during our stay. All online and never saw anyone

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Viewtopia near Davis, WV. It's perfectly located for easy access to several recreation areas, including Timberline Mountain, Canaan Valley Ski Resort, White Grass cross country ski area, and Blackwater Falls State Park.
The house was clean, warm, and cozy with amazing mountain views. There were plenty of dishes and towels for our week's use, and the laundry and kitchen facilities met our needs. Thank you for a great stay! Matt was very responsive. Check in and checkout was easy.

Great location on the mountain. Everything we needed for cooking. Close to all the recreation in the area. Only downfall was the spiral staircase on the upper floor. Could not use that room but we are sure teenagers would love the space. Not sure how we missed that detail but it was really 3 bedrooms for our family. We had a great time and had everything we really needed. Thank you!

Obviously the views, hot tub, fire place, nice furniture.

We loved the location and views of the house. Although the house had everything we needed and more, it could use some upgrades and maintenance. It seems like it is stuck in 1989. Beds were uncomfortable. But sheets and towels seemed nice and clean. Hot tub was a highlight for us although it wasn't vacuumed lately and collected some gross hair etc.

Views were absolutely spectacular! Hot tub was nice.

Beautiful location and house. Will definitely recommend. Great experience with the team

We really enjoyed our stay at Viewtopia and loved seeing the mountains of West Virginia!!! Everyone was very friendly and check-in and check-out were easy.
