Very nice place right by the ocean. Nice staff and it also has a restaurant
0.5 / 5.0
Beach access, sunshine and relaxation.
The owner is a complete selfish, inconsiderate, heartless wirhout empathy towards a guest with special needs. Should not be in the hospitality business sector.

Great sea view from the balcony and restaurant, table and seating area outside the room, excellent location seconds away from the beach, hot water, internet connection with relatively fast speed but not always stable.
I believe they will have a swimming pool ready over the next few days, which will be a nice addition!
The photos posted on Booking are confusing, we were expecting to be in a different room than the one we were allocated. They should be more specific about which exact room you have booked (we had the impression that our room would have its own balcony and that it would be bigger).
The breakfast includes eggs with ham, bread, coffee and juice. It could perhaps include an alternative to ham for vegetarians (e.g. cheese) and maybe some fruit.
The room feels a bit small for two people with a couple of suitcases, I imagine it will get a bit annoying in case of longer stays. We stayed for one night, so it was perfect for us.

The manager, Robert is a good guy. It's best to ask for him and discuss your accommodation needs and travel experiences with him. He speaks English, Spanish, and Swiss/German (among other languages).
The staff will accommodate what you ask for, within reason of course, just be willing
/motivated and clear in your communication (use Google Translate on your mobile phone if necessary).
Overall, I found the staff to be receptive to feedback - this was a positive aspect.
During the period I stayed at La Pachamama they were constructing a new swimming pool. It was like staying on a construction site, so very loud during the day - BUT - the evenings were quiet - AND - it will be a cool place to stay once the pool is complete.
Probably a few months away yet though (I stayed late Dec, 2022).

Right on the beach and so close to everything (although it is a small town so most places are close by). Staff were so nice and friendly. Room was basic but comfy bed and shared bathrooms were spotless all the time. Lovely breakfast included and great view from the restaurant terrace.

Loved the location in front of the beach. Took a night bus from Cuenca that got to Mancora at 5 am and the night security guard let me chill in the hammocks until the receptionist came in the morning and I was able to check in early for free. Decent breakfast. Next to a bar so a bit loud at night but the hostel itself is quiet (at least when I was there. Good tvs to watch football.
Slighty loud at night. Lunch and dinner food could be better

Friendly staff. Quick response from management and accomodating.
Noisy. Could definitely hear my neighbors and the local nightclub was loud from 7pm-5am.

Robert who runs the place is a hero(his home brew in particular is the stuff of legend). I've been traveling for 5 months in south America and without doubt this is the best place I've stayed. It's all heart. The staff are brilliant(particularly Caesar the night watchman) and their food menu has everything a Scottish person wants. I've been all over the world and stayed in many places folks, this place is a gem. It's located exactly where you want to be. For all of you looking through booking.com unsure where to go in Mancora; stop it. This IS the place. You'll love it here.
There is nothing not to like, which is a rare thing(and in general I complain about the slightest things). I stayed in single room with shared bathroom; the toilets were clean and the shower rooms have hot water(I'd read reviews on here saying no hot water).

Very nice and central place, felt like a home. Friendly owners and staff

Right in the middle of Máncora town and convenient to shops and restaurants.
The room itself is a bit small. Also there are no windows facing the outside. The beach right outside the hotel isn't the nicest in Mancora, however it's a short walk to others.

great price and quite clean shower and toilet even though it was a shared bathroom. Breakfast was included.
Not the best breakfast included and the staff wasn’t very happy at guests.

the location was great
They make you pay for water. So ridiculous. just to fill up a bottle. also their WiFi is terrible.

The location and the stuff are great. I have no major complains.
Noise from the surroundings bars, but it's the price for such location.
Plastic cover of the bed was not very pleasant, especially in these weather conditions.
Breakfast was good but simple.

This place was perfect as a solo traveler to Mancora. I had a private room and the shared bathroom was very clean. The breakfast is very good and the place is just steps away from the beach!

The location is amazing, right across the street from the best part of the beach and in the center of town. There is good breakfast in the morning included with the room. I have food allergies and Robert and the kitchen staff were so accommodating and made me off menu meals every day according to my restrictions.
The room was simple, but it was all I needed. The bed had a mosquito net and the shower had hot water. I stayed in two different rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. the upstairs room was quite nice, I could hear the sound of the waves.
The walls were very thin, I could hear everything my neighbors were doing. However, I always bring earplugs so it wasn’t a huge deal for me. The downstairs room had a funky smell in the middle of the day but in the night and morning it was fine. The upstairs room had a plastic wrapped mattress and was very crunchy, I thought that was quite weird, but I still slept okay.

Very nice and helpful staff & owners ! Pachamama is right on the beach which is great. The location is as shown in the pictures.
Being so close to the beach / smack in the middle of the town where there is a lot of life of course comes with a price to pay that music is played until diner time.

Kelly the manager was very pleasant and made my stay a positive one.
The tour company in the 1st floor

The waiter/halador guy, Davey, was really helpful and was always attentive. The 'menu' (set lunch) was also very tasty and good value for money.
There were two main issues with this place. The first is the noise. We stayed in a 4 bed family room but the family rooms lead out into the main communal area where two men listened to music and chatted from around midnight until 3am. They then took their party elsewhere and the walls are so thin that I could hear the base of their music until 5am. I could understand on a normal basis as the area is surrounded by clubs but this was during lockdown and there shouldn't have been excess noise after 9pm, that's why we booked the place. As there were families with small children in those rooms it would have been kind if a member of staff could have intervened.
The other issue is the heat in the small rooms. It was summer so it was to be expected but the rooms are so tiny with very little ventilation that, inside the mosquito nets that you absolutely have to use (because the mosquitos are huge), it's stifling. There was a fan but there's only one plug which makes it impossible to locate the machine in a location which would have any useful effect.
Even though this is one of the less expensive places to stay in Mancora it still isn't worth the money.
