Very clean, excellent service and breakfast. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable- they have great recommendations for off site excursions.
The pillows on the bed were very flat and was my only complaint.

Despite the rain, we loved our stay! Front desk, porters, and door man/concierge were super helpful and informative. Our room was lovely, spacious and quiet. Spendy but worth it. Close to town, we were treated like a Lord and Lady!
The sitting rooms were gorgeous, perfect to read a book or sip a warm drink by the fire. The "Abbey" was custom built for one of the original ladies of the house who was an invalid. Now it is converted into a beautiful sitting room/game room with gothic touches. My favorite space.
Wait staff in the restaurants needed more training - Dinner in the Palmer Kitchen (casual option) went an extra hour as the wait staff seemed to forget us after we ordered starters, and brought us other people's dishes on two occasions, ignored our neighbors. We had to ask for the check three times. Food was good, but needs better management, at least to train newer staff on dining service. Breakfast was generous and tasty, again, waitress never brought our toast after 2 requests. That dining room was elegant.
There is also fine dining in the Pullman Restaurant (converted train cars) which I'm assuming has better service. We'll try on our next visit.

Wow! What an experience. Galway is beautiful and busy until you get to Glenlo Abbey. It transforms into a sophisticated oasis. Wonderful service and even better food

5 star is not enough to describe this place. Immaculate from start to finish. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Glenlo Abbey Hotel. Everything was amazing from check in, the cinema, to dining at Palmer’s. Staff was very helpful at all times. Thank you for making our girls holiday to Ireland even better!

The staff was amazing. The beds so comfortable. The room very clean. Highly recommend.

The place is setup around a golf course very close to Gallway downtown. It has an older vibe. We had to book two rooms and really not "family" oriented. You are better off staying in town with young kids. A lot to spend on a overnight stay.
The Pullman restaurant is a nice experience. It is expensive so be prepared. The staff were all incredibly attentive and had fun drinks. The food was more about art deco.
The yards are pretty. Parking was easy. The staff was great.

The hotel was gorgeous. The interior rooms were decorated with style and a level of sophistication rarely seen these days.
Our room was beautiful and spacious, and the staff members were helpful and kind.
I look forward to visiting again soon.

Beautiful property. Room was immaculate and well appointed. Staff seemed uninterested and dismissive. Never felt welcomed

Beautiful hotel in an exceptionally beautiful location. One suggestion is that they install more benches along the walking path and especially down by the lake

Rooms were clean and well maintained, what you would imagine from an upscale property

This is a large property on a good of course a few miles out of town. It’s beautiful and quiet with large rooms and very attractive public spaces. Additionally the staff are friendly, outgoing, helpful and cannot do enough to make your visit comfortable. Dinner at the Pullman Restaurant - in train cars from the Orient Express was special and expensive but worth the splurge. The only negative was being charged 7 Euros for a bottle of tap water on top of many hundreds of euros for dinner.

Wonderful stay at Glenlo Abbey! The grounds and hotel are beautiful. We were upgraded to a one bedroom Lodge room. Access to the living room, kitchen and laundry were a bonus. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff here are wonderful, friendly, informative and attentive. The Palmer restaurant is very nice and the food delicious. A ride into the city center of Galway was about ten minutes.
We couldn’t have had a better stay.

The hotel was expensive and overbooked with bus tours. There were a few of us not happy with room. No tub, shower was open and next to toilet. Only one person could be in there at a time. I suggest the staff come as a couple and try to use this type of room! Also you could not get near the bar.

I think we were expecting more. Our two days at Glenlo Abbey was just okay. Staff was spotty-some above and beyond but others lacking the polish expected of a hotel touted as luxury. The Pullman Dinning Car experience, although by far the most expensive meal we had while in Ireland, was well worth it--a fabulous experience that my husband and I would recommend to anyone traveling to the area. We had a small issue with remodeling in a nearby room which when complained about was placated with drink coupons (not really what I wanted but a nice gesture). We loved the live piano music in the salon both nights but found it odd that the couch, which was broken Friday night, was not fixed or replaced on Saturday night when we went back to listen to the piano music. The hotel is beautiful though as are the grounds. Location is a taxi ride into town--easy to obtain one both there and back. With so many wonderful places to stay in the area, we don't think we would go back again except for the Pullman Dining Car experience, which is unparalleled in its uniqueness.

The leprechauns concierge was an absolutely brilliant introduction to the hotel. He was so helpful throughout our stay. The Orient Express restaurant was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable

Beautiful property. Staff was top notch! Recommend Falconry & High Tea at property.

Despite the huge cost we paid in advance for a deluxe view room, we were given a basement room whose windows faced directly onto a walkway, allowing other guests to look directly into our room. This meant we couldn't enjoy the view we paid for, as the nets had to be closed. We asked to move to a higher floor, but they 'had no rooms of our type'. Our option was to stick with the fish bowl, or pay an extra EUR120/night for a suite. We opted for the suite, but buyer beware.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Glenlo Abbey in the lead up to Christmas 2023. The hotel and its grounds are spectacular and in a brilliant location a short drive from the city centre. The hotel was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. The rooms are a fabulous size and so comfortable. Every member of staff that we engaged with was charming and helpful. Dinner in The Pullman Restaurant was a particular treat, as were cocktails while enjoying live piano in the residents bar. Our stay truly felt like a treat. The only constructive point of feedback I have would be regarding the breakfast, which we found to be disappointing. The menu was a little confusing (no offer of the standard Full Irish, for example), portions were quite small, we always had to ask for more toast, eggs were undercooked, and the continental offer was not quite as extensive or exciting as other five star hotels that we’ve experienced. The service at breakfast was as lovely as ever, however, and overall I would recommend this hotel for a special stay.

This hotel is absolutely incredible. It was beautiful and surrounded by incredible nature. I enjoyed taking morning walks in the hotel grounds and having a late night drink in the historic bar indoors. Service was lovely, thank you Storm and all the front door staff for your kindness! The front desk team also put me in touch with a driver who organized a beautiful tour of Connemara. This is a beautiful, magical place and I can't recommend it enough.
