The stay here was for a family event so just a layover - the signage is pretty bad from the main road, however the hotel is a real gem, modern comfortable rooms with openable windows if you get to hot at night (along with aircon as well), we didn’t stop for breakfast but the bar looked welcoming. And the health suite facilities were good as well. Really pleased with this one and would definitely come again.

Very noisy. stayed here before 4 times, disappointed this time..

After a poor stay at Holiday Inn Salisbury My business tokk me onto Filton.Greated well by staff, but breakfast for second day was a joke (06:30 - just opened for service)
I had to inform chef that Heatlamps weren't doing there job, they were just lights
Food was freezing cold, 3 other guests then spoke up. Staff removed food. My friend came back down at 09:00 only to find same freezing food served again. we both demanded a refund
Not funny when you paying between £10 - £15 per head - go to McDonalds for £4.00 and get a sausage muffin and coffee thats actually hot!!
There's a theme here IHG group, please sort it!!

Bedrooms are quite old and tired, but bar/restaurant area has been renovated and is really smart. Struggled with pellows as had 2 large ones each. 1 pellow was not enough, but 2 pellows was too high. Practically works well, as hotel located close to UWE and close to M4.

Bar staff love their mobile phones, chatting with each other and serving friends first… even when those same friends point out a waiting resident.

The reception greeting was very friendly and thorough.THe bar was a nice area to sit and the waitress was very helpful.
The room adjacent to us was very noisy when we arrive (loud talking and music ) but reception phoned through and it settled pretty quickly.

Hotel was clean and comfy, doesn’t look particularly enticing from the outside but was great inside. On site parking and attentive and friendly staff

Our stay was made even better Drew on the reception desk, he was so polite, well mannered and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He is a huge asset to the Holiday inn Bristol

The toilet was full of excrement but no paper?? What the hell was that all about? Didn’t have time to mention to hotel staff because I had to have a shower and use the toilet straight away to meet up with family.

Hotel was convenient location, plenty of parking, staff nice, bar / food great and decent VFM. Breakfast was excellent. Business facilities good. Room was dated and in need of refurbishment, this was the only negative. I used the pool which was a decent size of a swim and leash around before dinner.

Room was fine apart from 2 lights not working. Also not enough milk for tea. (Never enough milk)

Overnight stay at a well established hotel. Room was comfortable, clean and well insulated from noise of other rooms. Breakfast, help yourself, had a good selection of cereals breads and pastries and cooked food where you could eat as much as you wanted. The staff were helpful and friendly. We have stayed here before and would again.

The pool was lovely, warm, clean and well organised slots. The lounge bar area is well spaced out and we enjoyed a nice evening meal with good social distancing.
Only slight down was windows are quite old and not very sound/heat insulated and there is a busy road quite nearby. Likewise wooden headboard was not too comfortable and old fashioned.

The receptionist Emma was friendly and booked us in quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait over 1 hour for our food, even though there was a wedding this was unacceptable. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast - there was sufficient choice for everyone. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Over an hour wait to check in due to room not ready, staff member tried his best but was working on his own. Meal was booked for restaurant but directed to bar instead. No one offered to take our order. Food was ok. Room ok.

Siuated in pleasant surroundings with good parking facilities. Friendly and efficient check in with Ben on arrival. The hotel and our room appeared very clean and there was lots of hand sanitiser stations all in good working order. Our room had a nice outlook onto the pond. We had a very comfortable and peaceful night. The restaurant had a good choice of menu and the staff provided good service. Breakfast was well organised with with plenty of options. Enjoyed use of the swimming pool and sauna, all very clean and available to book in keeping with covid safety. Overall we felt very safe and had a very enjoyable overnight stay.

Accommodations were acceptable but we were disappointed. The hotel smelled moldy and we both had respiratory issues while there (one day). Rooms were small. Seemed clean but in need of updates. Internet was public, slow, and did not support streaming without paying an additional fee. There is a COVID testing clinic in the hotel which made us nervous and reluctant to touch anything outside our room. Not sure a hotel is the best place for such a clinic. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. It was quiet during our stay but it’s proximity to the University probably means it’s not always that way. Parking was included. It did have a pool but you have to pre-book a time on arrival and you are only allowed one pool time during your stay. Location was good for us but it’s a ways away from Bristol center.

Easy to find but not very close to town centre.
Covid excuse for no cleaning of rooms during the stay, unless specially requested!
There were very few staff so the restaurant was not in use in the evening, though one could order food and eat in the bar area! Numerous warnings via email about swimming & gym, but not about restaurant!
What staff there was were excellent and worked so hard to help everybody.
Overall the staff made our stay and business meetings very enjoyable. Well done them under difficult conditions!

The COVID-19 changes were appalling. 1 swim only to be booked in advance - we had 15 minutes to ourselves until 3 adults and 3 children arrived. Worst of all, there were two paper cups in our room and 2 plastic glass/cups. 4 little milk cartons. We went to Asda to buy 2 mugs, some proper milk and better coffee. A minimum of 4, preferably 6, cardboard cups would have been acceptable. Skimping using COVID as the excuse.
