Weather let us down and our trip to Belton house Christmas lights cancelled . However, the bar staff who where amazing - chole, Graham and hope all did their best to keep us happy and fluids rolling. Family get together so just a lovely place to catch up.

Stayed two nights on B&B, room allocated was clean but tired and seriously could do with some TLC, no drinking glasses so had to go and ask , just dispensers on wall for shower etc.....all in one bottle so no hair conditioner or shampoo , body lotion as there used to be. I guess prices ahve gone up but standards have dropped. Given wrong information about bar meal menu so when we asked at 5.40 for a sandwich and chips they said it had changed to evening menu at 5.30 even though they said it was at 6pm , I did get a sandwich as the chef agreed to make it but half the filling was missing?....bar prices are quite expensive. Breakfast is brilliant lots of choice and Dina the waitress is a credit to the company. Although I have added a couple of pictures the whole room could do with a make over as the white paint on skirting boards etc was yellow.

This is primarily a golf hotel which somewhat spoilt by the fact that majority cliente were male golfers who took over the bar and public areas which made it impossible other guests to talk!

It was great - very confy at all.

Extremely overpriced.
The quality for what youre paying for is shockingly low. The hotel is fine, the interior of the communal areas is lovely, and the room was clean. It was a nice hotel.
However, it is definitely not worth what it is priced as.
The service of the meal was extremely slow (1 hour wait) for not particularly nice food and again, high priced.
Further, when checking in, the reception told us not to book the restaurant, to eat in the bar, as it was "busy tonight". When we arrived at the bar, it was no longer serving food so we had to then go to the restaurant where there were plenty of tables free but we were treated strangely when advised we had not booked... a mess.
The room - lights wouldnt turn on. Plugs were blocked so shower turned into a bath. The mini-fridge was extemely loud. Then outside, at 630am, a lawnmower starts!
When I expressed a concern this morning, no care was given.
Usually, I would not care, the standard was fine for a quick trip. But at £184 for a 1 night stay + 32pp meal (for 1 course), I am highly disappointed.

Staff were very friendly and helpful
Breakfast may have been the best hotel breakfast I've ever had - mostly due to the crispy bacon! Room was lovely and peaceful. Pool area nice, busy with lots of children at time but they do have restricted times when children are allowed in. Very minor negatives - heated towel rail in bathroom didnt work and would have been nice to get swimwear dry and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom but was easilt sorted.

The landscaping was amazing, the staff were super but I think they were overwhelmed by the number of people at the hotel.
The hallways were nosy and orders at the restaurants took forever to get to us… and one dish never did

Good hotel. Room was fine. Good value considering the pool (which was great) and the included breakfast (which was buffet and loads on offer).
The restaurant is very overpriced . We ate in the lounge, and it was decidedly average pub grub at inflated prices.
Staff were very attentive throughout.

To start with 3 maintenance men knocked twice didn't even wait for me to answer the door and just walked in. Then we opened the windows and people were smoking and it was coming into our room, we were on the first floor. So we closed the window and put the air conditioning on that was so noisy. So we switched that off. The fridge was noisy. Then at 1.30 in the morning the room next door were so noisy shouting and laughing. I had enough by this point i went down to reception and spoke to the manager and all he said was do we want to move rooms not at 1.30 in the morning i don't. I'm really not happy at all. Please look into this

We were greeted by a female receptionist whose name I didn’t get at around13.30 on the phone. Finished phone call didn’t greet us but chose to speak to member of staff first. Checked our room which was not ready which we expected. Before we could ask her where to store luggage she turned round and started talking to another staff member. Finally got the answers we needed and went to the bar to get something to eat. Gentleman at the bar very pleasant and helpful. When the first food arrived it was put on the table and before we could ask for cutlery or napkins they were gone. When the second order arrived we quickly asked for things before they could disappear again. Staff definitely need more training. Room was large and as expected but tired and the hotel needs to,spend some money on refurbishment. As we went straight out we didn’t realise that the bathroom fan was not working something that housekeeping should have picked up when they cleaned the bathroom.

No gluten free options apart from one roll at breakfast, despite requesting the menu and details well in advance of our stay. Overcooked breakfast items on the buffet (cremated bacon, tomatoes and sausages) and cold fried eggs. The only nice items were the mushrooms and fruit. Poor service in the sports bar - when we asked for a glass of rose, we weren’t told there were actually a couple to choose from, so when we returned the nasty house wine which smelt and tasted off, the server acknowledged how bad it was then said she would only change it if we paid extra. The nachos were revolting - cold, covered with bright orange cheese sauce rather than real cheese, they were missing the jalapeños, and instead of spring onion, they were smothered in awful dried onion flakes. And all real coffee machines were out of action, so no lattes or cappuccino, only instant! The only saving grace was Jan in the restaurant who couldn’t do enough for us and tried to help as much as possible, suggesting the continental cheese and meat platter which was delicious. If she hadn’t been there, we would have rated this far lower despite the hotel being in a beautiful location withy lovely grounds.

Lovely hotel, was booked into the wrong room and had to move once I was unpacked. Breakfast was chaos and understaffed. One lady trying help people and load coffee beans and put pastries out and top everything up. Coffee machines didn’t work and queues 7 people long which then effect getting your breakfast. Lots of poeple quite upset by it all.

Enjoyed our stay but it was extremely busy as it being a Bank holiday weekend, there was not enough staff on to cater for so many guests in the restaurant.

Fantastic stay. Room was lovely and spacious. Swimming pool was great for kids and adults. We tried the driving range with the family and the interactive games were fun. Excellent location for Belton House and the garden centre ice house had nice gelato ice cream. Only negatives were there were no more bananas or decaf tea at breakfast but it was extremely busy on the bank holiday.

The staff here are what make the hotel. The food seemed overpriced and the rooms very tired

Underwhelming, Room was extremely dated and bordering on unclean. The service in the restaurant was poor and the sports bar was only open on one occasion throughout the 4 night stay.

Lots of parking close to reception. Check in was efficient. The bedroom was large, clean and well equipped, with two double beds. The bathroom had plenty of room too.
Access to the leisure centre was included. Large pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. All were a decent size.
Lots of choice for breakfast with helpful staff. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Room was very tired, not terribly impressed. Not cheap either for 3 nights. Paper thin walls in so much as I could hear the person snoring in the next room plus children running up and down all evening. Will be unlikely to visit again. Gone down hill considerably from my last stay in 2022.

We love staying at Belton Woods as a family, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic. The swimming pool facilities are great.

Awful stay at this hotel, it is very noticeable that the staff cater for the people who are members of this hotel. My dad treated us to this hotel because of the pool for his 2 granddaughters, was told it was closed on the Tuesday due to the issues of the temperature but on Wednesday it was open so after our visit to the zoo, we came back to the hotel, got into our swimming costumes and went to the pool, only to be told children cant go in because of the temperature, one of my daughters was already in the pool and said it was fine. I spoke to the receptionist beforehand just to check which way to go to the pool and she never said children werent allowed in. At this point, i wanted to leave the hotel as this was a big disappointment when we got told we couldn't get into the pool. The evening food is too expensive and not caters for everyone. I will definitely not be back at this hotel, the members are so hoity toity and its clear to see they DO NOT want "outsiders" in the hotel. In the room i was in, a piece of wood attached to the curtains was away from the wall with screws showing, its a good job my 2 daughters didnt see it. The only good bit about the hotel is the breakfast. Reception staff are not always at the desk.

Maybe try and keep families and the groups on golf weekend a bit separate! Nice to see them having fun but lots of swearing around the lounge bar and banging and crashing in the corridors at 2am waking us up!
Pool was cold and didn’t get a chance to go in the jacuzzi as was hogged by a big group!
Hotel looks a bit tired in places but reasonable value for money! Wouldn’t rush back

Nice location and views of the golf course. Lovely breakfast. We used the leisure facilities which were great after a long drive. Only negative comment was we were in a room next to guests with a dog which barked continuously when they left the room.

Lovely hotel with good facilities and friendly helpful staff. Would have been 5 stars but they really need to make sure cars not charging are not in the EV charging spaces

Very nice hotel with modern and clean facilities. Pleasant comfortable room. We booked a deluxe kingsize twin room but on arrival only had one bed between 3 of us. They offered to put another bed in but that would have meant the room was very pokey. In the end we were given a bigger room with 2 beds, which is what I originally booked through hotels.com

Clean rooms, nice breakfast. Some staff not so welcoming, particularly reception staff which is a shame. Main issue was we left our costumes behind in the changing rooms and emailed them twice and called them a number of times with no response. A week later I managed to get hold of someone in leisure who said they didn’t have them in lost property and ‘was just one of those things’. Very disappointed as had they’d responded earlier they may have been a chance they’d been found.

A few days before arrival, I received a message from the hotel asking if I would like to make a dinner reservation, which I thought was a nice touch. I replied and requested a table. Upon arrival, I mentioned the dinner reservation to the receptionist who informed me, "no reservation had been made, and if I had received a message, it would have been from Qhotels, not this hotel." I was then informed that the restaurant was fully booked, and the only thing I could do was speak to the restaurant staff. After speaking to the restaurant staff and showing them the message I had received and my reply, I was told I could eat at 6 but not to be late. The issue was made out like it was my fault.
We did use the pool, sauna, steam room, and gym in the morning before we checked in, which was great. We also used it the following day after we had checked out. This is a big positive; however, the pool is a strange combo of a leisure center and a spa. There are a few loungers, the pool is cold, and once it fills with kids, you have no chance of relaxing. We were there on a Saturday.
The dinner was overpriced, and portions were small, but it was nice and well-cooked. The breakfast is very good and had a really good selection of healthy options.
The room was very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Having a dog barking a few doors down for 3 hours early evening was far from ideal.
We didn't use the spa but he pool/sauna/steam room are not great.

Disappointed room miles away from reception
Restaurant was understaffed and food when you finally received it was at best mediocre

Nothing to fault with the hotel but our room
Was by a fire door on the corridor so we were woken with the slamming of the door late at night or early in the morning. Easy fix. Aside from this, wonderful staff and hotel.

Overall very good stay. We have been several times before which speaks volumes! One constructive suggestion is that the breakfast and plates could be warmer. Dinner was excellent and the staff attitude brilliant. Not often do I proffer a £10 tip!!

Very tired - in need of a good refurb. Seems expensive for what you get. Shabby towels full of holes, creaky beds with broken springs, no light in bedroom area just a few small lamps, and can hear all the noise from the corridor. Staff are really lovely and pool area is nice, but wouldnt stay again, especially for the price.

THE SERVICE GIVEN BY ALL THE STAFF WAS FIRST CLASS ESPECIALLY VICTORIA A BAR TENDER.
