Like other reviews, I agree this property needs some love.
I've stayed at this hotel for many years and this year will probably be my last. The kaycard machine was broken when we arrived so we had to be escorted to our rooms to be let in, same again after breakfast. We booked two double rooms. One room was lovely, spacious and crisp cool AC. My room was tiny, had to shuffle across the bottom of the bed to get round and kept hitting my shoulder on the telly. The AC didn't work, if I opened the window the road noise was hurrendous. The one blackout curtain wasn't big enough to cover the window and the bathroom window was huuuge, coupled with a glass door on he bathroom meant there was no way to block the light in the morning.
When checking in I asked for a fan as having stayed here before i knew the AC was hit and miss. The man smiled and said the rooms are provided with errr ventilation. I said ok that means the AC is playing up so can I get a fan please... no fans left unfortunately. Which again, confirms the AC is playing up. The floor in my room was uneven and literally falling apart. The wallpaper/lining is peeling off the walls. It's just generally tired. There is a fridge in the room that is empty, so this generates more heat into a room that is already too hot.
The self service kiosk is a great idea but is very very expensive and basically a giant mini bar.
The breakfast is lovely, no complaints there.
It is not a 4 star hotel anymore. It needs some love NH!!

Bed was pretty awful. You could feel the springs. Hotel was nice and clean.

The standout for the stay was the brilliant staff. Especially Philip who checked in our party of 9. He was friendly and engaging. He was also very helpful with local knowledge helping us to save a fortune in train tickets by clearly explaining how to get the most out of "family" tickets with local trains.
The hotel is also in a great area short walk to the town and station with loads of good dining options near by.

Great stay with fantastic room, good service and easy to get to by car. Also very close to city center.

The 30euros city tax for five nights stay payable on arrival will make it unlikely I'll return to Dusseldorf for an extended stay.
The room was pretty basic, plain walls, no wall art at all, but great that it had a small fridge. No tea or coffee making facilities but when we asked they provided a kettle and cups. The kettle leaked a lot... There was no spoons.
The only English language TV channels were news.
My phone was unable to connect to the in hotel WiFi using the credentials provided.
Good that there was a safe, but disappointed not to have an iron.
At 21 euros for breakfast, it's clearly priced for the business traveller but there is a large supermarket less than 100 metres away, and also restaurants in there, and a pizza takeaway nearby. It's a good bit further to the likes of McDonalds or Burger King should you like that sort of thing.
The staff were fine, friendly on arrival, and the lady room cleaner did a good job.
There is a bar in the hotel and a regular and gay bar round the corner and along the street.
It's a longish 15 mins walk to the old town but handy for u bahn and trams. Also 15 mins walk from the main station, the hauptbahnhoff.
Personally, this was not as nice as the Mercure I'd stayed at before, but in this trip it was considerably cheaper, and further away from the winos and homeless who seem to live in the road junction outside the Mercure.
Very handy for konigsallee and city centre shopping. About 15 mins from the Rheinturm tower.

I emailed the hotel requesting an early check in, when we arrived this was not possible which was ok and asked to come back at 14.00, the room was still unavailable we ended up checking in after 17.00 as we could not be bothered hanging around near the hotel. The first two days had work men in stinking of sweat replacing mattresses in most of the rooms. On the day of the check out the lift was being used again by workmen and we had to walk down the stairs with our luggage, the receptionist did not seem to care. Apart from these niggles the hotel room was fine and clean and the maids were excellent. Would I stay here again, probably not unfortunately.

This hotel was supposed to be an NH. It is not just old and in a serious need of renovation, it is filthy, very bad taken care and outdated.

Lovely staff. Nice room. No kettle or hot drinks in room. Asked for a kettle and did get one. But that basic should be in all rooms.

I booked through Expedia for 3 nights the NH Düsseldorf Konigalee , and was confirmed in USD.
Upon checking out I was told rates our quoted in Euros even when my credit card had US currency.
I requested tween room (2 beds).in fact there were 2 beds connected like double bed .
I missed coffee maker in my room which is standard nowadays.
The staff is polite and welcoming.
Hotel location is central and near public transportation.

Pillows had no internal stuffing were like rags, shower was cold no hot water. Breakfast was like an out of stock shop. Room was hot from a radiator with no control had to have window open as AC cooling was off. Loud outside window. Left a day earlier than I paid for.

Stay at this hotel frequently. Very comfortable.
Disappointed this time as WiFi was not available in my room upon arrival and was still not fixed 5 days later.
Staff seemed unconcerned about this

Conveniently located, only a 3 minutes walk to Königsallee and not too far from Altstadt.
Room, although small, is well-equipped, clean and silent, bed is very good.
Only one con: there is no AC in the room, with the 30C temperature that was really missing.
Breakfast buffet is abundant, staff is very friendly though too occupied (adding 1 or 2 people would help them a lot).
Overall I am very satisfied, would return definitely, the free parking was a very nice surprise.

Our suite on the 5th floor was spacious but the bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was average. Pros: location and proximity to shops and restaurants.

It was not clean, it is the dirtiest hotel we stayed at,there was hair in the bathtub and everywhere, as well as dust. We booked a suite and we couldn't rest because a water pipe passing through the wall was making a lot of noise. The lady at the reception was not too kind to us at the time of check in and the late check in option was not possible either. On the other hand, the location is ideal and we easily found parking at another hotel in front of it.

The room smelt of sweat and I asked for a room change. The really friendly and helpful receptionist offered me 2 other rooms but they both had no working a/c. So I had to revert back to the original smelly room which was no comfortable
