A lovely hotel in the middle of beautiful Woodstock, warm and friendly
1.0
Staff very pleasant, breakfast was lovely. The room was dark and lighting really not good especially when trying yo apply morning make up etc. The `TV had a mind of its own and wouldn’t come one when we wanted it on but it randomly switched itself on ie 3am which wasn’t appreciated. Lovely hotel though and I would stay again but I would be selective about rooms.

Everything about our visit was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and it was so nice to stay at a hotel that took my allergies into consideration and adapted their menu to cater for it. This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in and will definitely back

We had an all-too-short one night stay at The Feathers. It was perfect from start to finish, from the lovely warm welcome to the gorgeous room to the perfect sleep and the friendly check out and farewell.
We were upgraded to a suite, which was a kind and lovely touch.
1.5
The hotel and staff were great. In the centre of Woodstock with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Would stay again when in the area

Great friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. Great pubs in the village for dinner. Very comfortable stay.

Wonderful stay at the Feathers. Great location, great breakfasts.
The staff were the stars. Would definitely recommend.

Evening meal and was lovely and service very good. Service not so good at lunchtime and be aware that most places do not serve food after 3pm until the evening. Decor needs a bit of TLC Area is lovely with Blenheim palace a stroll away. Would return.

Great location and base for exploring Woodstock and Blenheim palace grounds. The palace is a short walk from the hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful

Stayed for two nights, the room was amazing, bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Good selection of teas and coffee. The staff were great, very attentive and helpful. The food we had for breakfasts and dinner was delicious and cooked exactly as requested/described. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Great Stay - They looked after us from start to finish. Our request for a room was acknowledged.
The Receptionist was very friendly and always available to help - she couldn't enough for us.
The breakfast was great and provided our dog with a little treat.

Lovely hotel! Dog friendly.,,,great location. Service and food was great!

Great value for money. Team were really helpful. Breakfast was really nice. Loved the courtyard.
They managed to accommodate me in a room more suited to me due to my mobility issues, as the first option was up a really steep staircase in an annexe which i knew would cause me issues.
1.5
Lovely room with a good sized, comfortable bed. Really nice breakfast, with very good service!

Had a wonderful one-night stay at this magnificent property only 20 mins away from Oxford. The Feathers hold such a rich history, it is worth a visit regardless. We parked for free in the fire station parking which was only 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. Our room was nicely decorated and stocked with essentials. The reception staff and waiting staff were cheery and easy to talk to. Nevertheless, some guests wished us good morning, it absolutely made our day. Lastly, words are not enough to describe how amazing the breakfast banana & walnut bread served with cream fresh was!! Thank you very much team at The Feathers.

First the good. Service and friendliness of the staff was first rate. Everyone was professional and helpful during our three night stay. The restaurant area is lovely and food is good, with a good selection at Breakfast. They offer two menus, one for the restaurant and one for the bar area. We preferred the bar menu which meant we had to eat in the bar. This was a little sparse with few home comforts. More functional than anything else.
We booked the superior double room but unfortunately little to be seen that made it superior. Very different to the photos on the website. The room (32) was dark and a little dingy with very dated dark furniture, that added to the gloominess. The room itself was reasonably clean but a little dusty.
I think most if not all of the photos on the website are from those taken after the refurbishment in 2010/11. The attention to detail in the restaurant area needs to be followed through in the study area and bar, whilst the rooms (or at least our one) is in need of refurbishment. Depending where you look the hotel is marketed as a four star hotel, I think four star would be possible, but unfortunately like so many hotels in this country, the upkeep and standards have slipped

Enjoyed our stay at the feathers in Woodstock. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The town has recently started charging for parking and the Feathers very kindly gave us parking permits, so we didnt have to pay for parking
Breakfasts were excellent
Hotel room was very clean and furnished with lots of lovely antiques. Only negative was we were on the second floor or hotel and staircase was steep and windy, it wasnt a problem for me but as my husband had just has surgery, he felt it a bit challenging.
Would love to stay here again
Many thanks to lovely staff for a super stay

but very hard bed in a dated room..
could do with bit of brightening up..

Excellent position, close to all amenities. Staff were efficient & friendly. Food was great. Room was a bit tired & dark. Wasn't quite up to superior room standard, only one comfy chair. It was impossible to control the temperature of the shower so was much too hot. The maintenance chap did have a look immediately we mentioned it but it wasn't completely resolved & when we left we told reception There was no bath slip mat. We did have a lovely 3 night stay though.

Lovely historic hotel in the center of town. Walk to Blenheim Palace. Room was large with all the mod-cons - nice new bathroom. Good bed. Breakfast nice continental. We ate dinner at an Italian place and Indian just steps from our hotel. Only caveat: it could be quite hot in the summer. We had fans and that helped but we were there in May.
2.5
Quiet room, comfy bed, excellent shower, excellent brekkie - what's not to like?

The breakfast food is a bit basic but nice enough.

Great weekend in a lovely village.
The hotel is central and quirky and lovely, especially the receptionist who was super helpful.
2.5
The Feathers is just a lovely place to stay. Staff are really great and very efficient.
It does need a little uplifting in terms of some areas re carpets and decoration but its charming, clean and great experience
1.5
The hotel was nice and quirky. However, unfortunately the electricity to our room kept powering off / fusing out. This was quite frustrating and happened more than 5 times over 2 nights.
For some reason our room wasn't cleaned on the first morning - rubbish wasn't emptied and bed wasn't made etc. No idea why.
2.0
The feathers hotel has an excellent location in Woodstock within walking distance of the very beautiful Bleinham Palace.
The best parts of the hotel are the good quality restaurant within it and the extensive gin bar and pretty outside seating area.
The negatives would be the actual room, which although was adequately kitted out with a comfortable bed, felt a little tired in decor and wasn’t as clean as we would have expected from the price tag. We were surprised to find our room wasn’t actually in the main building but in a separate annex across the pavement.
That aside overall it was a lovely weekend break, Oxford was a bus ride away and we enjoyed our stay.
