It was fine. Pool water was too cold to swim.

Nice room for a great price! Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. There was a small breakfast, but could use more options along with more drink options at breakfast. Pool area was nice, water could be warmer. The lobby was very welcoming and the staff was very friendly.

Stay was just fine after an ISU football game.

I don't really have a while lot to stay since we got in late and left early. The beds were comfortable once you get situated. We were all so tired, we just fell asleep. Deal help was fine. The only thing we noticed was one of the USB outlets wasn't working. There plenty of plug ins for the room though

We had a king suite with a pullout for our daughter. Lots of space and very clean. Beds were fine. Bathroom was nice. No food at hotel.

The hotel restaurant/bar is "closed until further notice," which is fine, but the hotel should update their listing on this site to make sure it accurately reflects the conditions. That availability did factor into our decision of where to stay, so this was disappointing.

Hotel seemed a little run down. Our key cards did not work and we had to keep going to the front desk to get new ones.

The hotel should stock or sell toiletry items. We forgot to bring toothpaste and the staff could not find any from the storage nor front desk

Excellent stay thanks to all that make that possible

The bathroom was not clean. Breakfast and the restaurant were not available. The room was decent. But it was very very overpriced for what was available. Had I known the breakfast and restaurant wasn't going to be available I would not have stayed here.

The staff was very nice and the property was very clean. I think the rooms could stand a bit of an upgrade though. But overall it’s a nice hotel.

Kelly was awesome at check-in! Warm, welcoming and friendly. She got our stay off in the right foot!

The staff were very polite, helpful and courteous. My wife and I would like to give particular credit to the front desk attendant Kelly. She went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated for all of our requests.

Overall it was an okay property. The rooms were older and more run down than the images would have you believe. The pool was cool which was disappointing as it was the reason we chose this property to take our young son swimming.

Would be nice if breakfast was included. Exhaust fan in bathroom did not work.

One of the things we look for when booking is if the hotel has a bar/lounge. We do that so when we are far from home and want to have a few drinks, we don't have to worry about transportation. This hotel shows a bar/lounge as one of the amenities and even has a photo of it on their website. The bar/lounge is closed and has been for quite some time. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have booked elsewhere. This is clearly false advertising and it's misleading. The room was "OK", the sheets for the sofabed had stains on them and the bathroom fan didn't work. They advertise breakfast, but it was $12 for scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and a slice of bacon.
Definitely will not book with this location ever again.

The nicest staff I've ever encountered at a hotel. The bed was so comfortable I'm going to look for one for my home. They were accommodating to issues we were having.

Average hotel. The staff was excellent with good customer service. It would be nice if breakfast was included like most hotels and a hair dryer.

This is an old property. Breakfast was a joke $2-$14. Many cracked tiles in bathroom floor. Light beside bed didnt work and it wasn't the bulb. Sink right at the door and anything with a cord would get caught in the room door. Sheers were dirty. Carpet was dirty

I appreciated the pet friendly hotel not far from the Ames Veterinary School where I had taken my dog late at night. They were very nice at check in. There was a frozen meal I could heat up in my room. However, when I stepped on the carpet there was a large wet spot in one area. The room seemed damp and a little musty. The bed was comfortable and we slept OK. The grout in bathroom and other details could use a spruce up, but overall it was ok.

Worst experience at a hotel! Booked a two-room suite for I and my husband and adult son for 2 nights. One TV was broken, notified front desk that it was the power cord, next day it still had not been fixed. Had to call to get more than 2 towels for the 3 of us the first night. After the maid service the next day they again left only 2 towels. Found black mold in the bathroom shower on the 2nd day took pictures All this was brought to the attention of the staff right away with no remedy or comp for the room suite price. This Radisson was no different than the Motel 6 down the road. The price was nowhere near the quality/service I would expect for what I paid. Avoid the Radisson in Ames, IA at all cost.

I have mixed feelings about the stay. When we first got there, the front desk person was super helpful. We showed up a day early, and they worked with us to accommodate our scheduling snafu. The same person though was never at the front desk after that point. I was going to tell her that we had ants in our room, but she was too busy sitting at the bar in the dining room vaping with someone. Same thing the next night. Every time I went down or through the lobby she was not at the desk. She was out vaping with other guests. They also had ants in the pool too. Bigger ones than in the room. I told the lady at the desk about the ants when we checked out and she was on the phone with maintenance right away to address the issue. The one plus, it is really close to Iowa State University which is why I chose it in the first place. I was slightly disappointed.

Very friendly staff. Quiet location. Bathroom had missing uplifted tiles and shower/bathtub seemed to be very weak in the floor, made a lot of noise no matter where you stood in shower. A nice place but could use some upgrading to bathrooms.

The gal at the counter when checking in was great . Couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Everyone we dealt with was vert pleasant.
