Room was clean and tidy, would definitely stay here again

Fabulous hotel. Got upgraded to deluxe suite which was amazing. Absolutely spotless and staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions asked. Gym and pool were great. Cocktails were delicious, breakfast was lovely and had a great selection. We will definitely be back.

Lovely stay, we got a free upgrade to a suite which was a lovely surprise, gorgeous room

Very noisy

We booked a deluxe seaview room and found it was quite tired and in need of a facelift. The toiletries were basic and our first night and morning the water was cold in the taps and shower. Once we mentioned this at the desk it was resolved.
We had also booked breakfast for the 3 mornings we were there but after the first morning we cancelled the rest
because the breakfast was not good. Very few options and what we did have was cold.
All in all we enjoyed our stay in Galway but were disappointed with the overall look and comfort of a 4 star hotel like the Galmont and expected a higher level of luxury for what we paid

Great hotel except lukewarm water in bathroom

Very very disappointing trip for my birthday.
Our room was filthy. Very dated and in dire need of refurbishment. Our room was removed from central hotel. It was not to the standard expected. Vastly different from the photos on hotels.com

Wonderful but a bit away from the action. Quite expensive as well, but that was my choice.

Mold. Everywhere. Unacceptable. Paying nearly €400/night and having BLACK MOLD lining the air conditioning vent is absolutely abhorrent. Front desk staff was very kind and that’s all I can say in terms of “pros”.
Minor complaints: restaurant/dining does not open until 1pm. Bar staff took nearly 5-9 minutes each time we were there to acknowledge us.
Fully hope the hotel decides to reach out to discuss some form of a refund due to the conditions in our room.

We really enjoyed our stay. The spa was excellent and the staff really friendly

We arrived late, our type of room was no longer available. Desk staff assumed that balcony was our primary need [it was a bonus with water view, but not the biggest factor.] Offered smaller/ interior rooms first. She ultimately gave us an upgrade to a very nice room. But it took us a while to get there. The property itself is awesome. The water view includes an oil tank farm; but that's what you get (and there's plenty else to see!). The available gym (not owned or operated by Galmont, but offered as a bonus) is first class. The jacuzzi was broken during our stay. Was a surprise to us (Americans) that men also must wear a swim cap in the pool.

Very nice hotel. Close to the harbor where you can take a ferry to tour the Aran Islands. Parking is in an underground garage with a lift into the hotel. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet is excellent and the fruit section is awesome! Two minor issues: (1) Room was warm and we were unable to cool it down without opening the window; and (2) I had trouble finding the switch for the desk lamp because the room has many wall switches that control the lights and it took a while to find the right one.

Staff was very good and friendly. Parking access was very easy there is a lift in the hotel into the parking lot. Room was big and spacious and kept clean. A+ stay

Reception staff were very welcoming, plenty of car prking spaces, good walkable location from the city centre. Breakfast was really good, and we loved the pool which 1 out of the 2 days we used it was really quiet. Nice to have a lane blocked off even though one silly woman decised to ignore it was a lane being. used and just did her own thing along with her older child. Would have been nice if staff could have pointed that out to her as my teenage son didnt feel he could.
Our room was really nice, good size, comfy chair, ice available, and quiet carpets so we didnt hear people wandering back to rooms.
There was some first night music playing late we could hear - not sure if that was from the bar or elsewhere. We didnt hear any the second night.
Really nice stay, we'd go again.

This hotel was amazing. I highly recommend it. So clean and updated. The coffee shop just up the street was also fantastic!

Large, comfortable room. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast choices with quality ingredients. Hotel very conveniently located within walking distance of Eyre Square.

We were very disappointed in the maintenance of the room. The toilet would not always flush, half way through our 4 night stay we could not get hot water only tepid water, the ac/heat system would turn off in the middle of the night on its own.
We felt the public areas of the hotel were nice, but the rooms need to be updated.

Of all the places we stayed in Ireland, The Galmont was our favorite! Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, easy parking!

Lovely hotel in a great location

Due to understaffing the lounge restaurant food was met with slow service and overcooked pasta and croquettes. The Cosmopolitans were terrible.

Nice property and great location

The bathtub shower is a bit outdated. The atomsphere was okay. However, we were extremely disappointed with the service in the Coopers Restaurant. The waiting times for starters, main dinner and bill was unacceptable.

Beautiful, well-appointed. Front desk staff (Mikayla and Irish/American woman whose name is failing me at the moment) were beyond helpful with ideas and recommendations. Wish we could have stayed longer and taken advantage of spa treatments.

All staff were great. Bar and restaurant lovely furnishing and decoration. A great boutique hotel.

If you are looking for AC, ours was broken and did not allow us to have an enjoyable stay. Overall the hotel is average. Had a nice view looking at the river. Mini fridge was warm and felt over heated.
8.0
I liked the convenience and the spa. Would like if there could be a direct connection to the spa and if it was more integrated into the pool area
2.0
The air conditioning in the room did not work properly. There was no way to take a shower without soaking the floor outside as they only provided a short plexiglass to keep the water in tub area instead of a proper shower curtain or a longer plexiglass cover. Several times at different times of the day, you could not reach anyone on the phone no matter what extension you touched. It isn’t even a matter of higher expectations but just even normal expectations weren’t met.

Lots of parking. Outdoor hottub was small but nice. Very comfortable and spacious room.

We were thrilled with the accommodations. In addition to the stellar options for food/drink, spa, gym, pool, and bed, I especially loved the option to pour myself a glassful of icy sparkling water from the water machine. I’ve never seen that in a hotel and thought it was unique, convenient, and delicious. Brilliant!

Terrible service at the lounge and restaurant.
No AC.
Room cleaner didn't restock
No wash clothes
Shower design was horrible, water everywhere
Over priced

Nice hotel, good location

This hotel is very comfortable, as an American traveler it reminds me of a typical chain hotel we have in the states. The only weird thing about this place is that it is actually two buildings connected over a long walkway between the two. Kind of a pain to get your luggage between the lobby and the other side which is a series of elevators and that forementioned long walk. But room was great to problems, clean and comfy!

Big hotel with plenty of amenities and nice to use hot tub. Comfy huge bed. Good location for walking to the town. Overall lacks charm and would stay somewhere smaller like a b&b if went back .

Katie, was so kind, thoughtful and attentive. I’d love to make back again and even stay longer.
Thank you Katie and the Galmont.
