Staff was friendly and the hotel was very accessible. Convenient. Housekeeping was friendly.

Good value for the San Diego area. Clean room, appliances ok. Staff helpful. It's a good location for Carlsbad visiting!
3.3
Room was dirty , carpets were extremely dirty . TV broken

We recently stayed at this hotel for three nights during our trip to Legoland in San Diego, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we entered our room, we were greeted by a strong, unpleasant odor, and the entire place looked old and poorly maintained.
To make matters worse, the front desk staff was hesitant to provide us with fresh towels, which should be a basic service. When we inquired about room service, we were shocked to learn that it’s only done every eight days, which is completely unacceptable for a family on a short stay. Additionally, there was no shampoo provided in the bathroom, which added to our frustration.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for families. The lack of basic amenities and the poor condition of the rooms made our stay far from enjoyable

Dated but comfortable
3.3
Front Desk check-in was fantastic and smooth
3.3
The staff was very nice, however the rooms and corridors had too many bugs, roaches, ants and spiders. The place is in need of a major upgrade and some serious pest control
3.3
Not what you would expect for the location. You have to exchange the dirty towels before getting clean ones. Place is severely outdated and water pooled in every sink there was.
3.3
This extended day hotel is not at all represented correctly on the pictures included on their listing. It is dirty, the staff is rude, the free breakfast consisted of pop tarts and mini muffins. The phone in our room didn't work. We told the front
desk and they never sent anyone to give us a working phone. The front desk was incredibly rude and argumentative. Rolling eyeballs while I was speaking happened a few times. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the shower didn't have much water pressure. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and also the most expensive.
3.3
This was a super convenient place to stay for us, quick and easy access to food, the beach, and Legoland. The “breakfast” was severely under advertised and the place lacked basic hotel amenities. Maybe I missed it in the description but it needs to be more clearly advertised. No ice machine, no hair dryer, no shampoo/body wash, etc. No daily housekeeping.
3.3
It's an older property so really can't expect too much. It served its purpose for our week away from the heat of Arizona. Weather was fantastic!
3.3
A little outdated. Understaffed.

Excelent hotel
3.3
Hotel is kinda rundown
3.3
Price quite high.

Staff was kind. Only issue is the bathroom. Either the toilet or shower leaked like crazy. The shower water pressure was painfully high. Couldnt even put my face under the water bc it was like bullets.
3.3
The building had warnings about having brass, that are bad for the health and the above visitors were stamping all day and all night we could hardly sleep

We stayed at a different ES a month earlier, in a different part of the US. That one had a fully stocked kitchen, whereas this was bare. (All things available for the asking but not in the room upon arrival). The room, kitchen and bathroom were much smaller. The bed was lumpy and there was no in-room coffee maker. Breakfast was pretty lame. Was it terrible? No. Is it super close to the beach and maybe transients/theft are a problem? Maybe. I probably wouldn’t stay there again but I could for its proximity to the highway, beach, and cute downtown and dining.
3.3
Great option for price and area. Extremely close to beach. The employees are great!
3.3
Right up against the freeway and or room faced it so couldn’t open the window for the noise but otherwise a quiet property
3.3
No shampoo or conditioner. You have to go to the front desk to get a blow dryer. You have a full kitchen with no utensils, cups or glasses. So why bother having a kitchen.
There were big chunks of the wall missing. Water pressure was awful. No ice machine. The property was horrible and the cost was outrageous.
3.3
Good customer service terrible hotel
3.3
The room only had a desk chair. No other Comfortable chairs. Terrible!!!

We enjoyed our morning walks to the beach and local shops. Very handy to I-5. Would stay again when in the area.

Good place

Homeless people walking up and down the hallways. Seems like the staff has a relationship with the homeless. This hotel isn’t what it used to be 4 years ago.
3.3
Room was cute. However, the kitchen had no kitchen items. Had to ask for them. And what they did give were small bowls, plates and cups. The refrigerator made awful noises all night. Bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. The shower water pressure was awful. No ice machine on site. Exit doors were held open by putting a rock to wedge it. Otherwise you can't get back in. Staff was nice though.

I booked my mother-in-law a room here in the village so she can rest and recover from being sick. First impressions of the hotel were nothing like the photographs. Room was dirty and dingy and not updated like the photos. We had to change rooms to the more "clean" option. I had the front desk write in their notes when checking in that if they needed ANYTHING to call me and let her rest. I extended her stay 3 more nights and called the morning of check-out/check-in to make sure it would go seamless so she wouldn't be bothered and they assured me that everything was good to go. That was until I got a call from my MIL that she was harassed by the manager Eileen who banged on her door as she was getting into the shower and demanded a credit card for incidentals. When my MIL let her know that she would be down later the manager threatened to call the cops within 16 minutes if she didn't hand her her card. I'm not sure why the front desk and manager went 0-100 without looking at the notes or calling me as I could have easily drove down to the hotel to give my credit card so my MIL could rest and heal. The cops were called and my MIL felt so uncomfortable she left. This is no way to treat your guests and I hope action will be taken towards the employees involved. Terrible behavior and service.
3.3
Horrible stay. They complained about my children not less than 5 minutes from us checking in. Also, I had the police sent to my door for no known reason. It's a horrible place, and I will never go back.
3.3
Very good! Very comfortable! Pool was a bit dirty but we didn't use it so irrelevant. Would definitely stay as gain.
3.3
It was clean but unremarkable
3.3
Very nice and professional lady at the front very helpful, family had very pleasant time here in the hotel and town. One advice more cleanliness is needed under the bed and having a better breakfast will bring more customers to your business. All good, thank you for asking.

Nice place
3.3
Property and room had a strong smell to marihuana. Facility is old and needs some maintenance.
3.3
The breakfast was disappointing, expected more than oatmeal and coffee.
3.3
First time at this chain and was expecting more.
Professionally checked in.
Good sized room.
Room shows signs of aging.
Not the cleanest room, dust on lamps, dresser drawers need to cleaned, old food was on the burner, hair in the shower…
3.3
The room smelled terrible! There was a hole in the shower, the shower nozzle was broken. In orde lr to get new towels, you had to turn in your dirty towels downstairs and exchange for new ones. There were no toiletries available. I would not recommend this hotel.
3.3
Friendly and helpful staff. Large spacious rooms and bathroom.
3.3
Front desk person was very friendly
