The hotel rooms are quite run down, for the rate charged £150+ per night.
I wasn’t warm enough, didn’t know how to use the heating in the room, and there were no instructions.
In fairness, I didn’t contact reception, just got on with it.
The staff were all pleasant, polite and helpful in reception and in the dining room.
The breakfast was very good. Plenty of selection and nicely presented.
It was okay for staff and food, but I’d look for a more reasonable financial option in the future.

where do i start, ok the lobby, down to 1 lift working out of 3, got to our room, all looked ok clean, no problem, got downstairs, had a drink in the bar no problems had food there on the first night, no problem, we went to our event no problem, got back to our room and into bed, woke up 4 maybe 5 times during the night as my back was killing me, went for our breakfast in the morning no problem, went to Elland road to watch the match, and got back to our hotel after the game, it was very ruff outside due to the storm, so we decided to stay in the hotel for food and drinks, mistake, ordered Fish Chips and Peas, food arrived, not very well presented looked thrown on, but i got no problem with that, i started eating my food to find that the peas were stone cold felt like they had been taken out of the fridge and dumped on my plate, the chips and fish were warm, i told the girl that served us that the peas were stone cold, she said that she would get me some fresh peas, if they came in few seconds i probably wouldn't complain, however id eaten the rest of my meal by the time they arrived, so pintless me having them, stayed for a few drinks and went to bed, early as we had decided to leave early in the morning for a 2 and a half hour drive home, when we got to our room i could feel wind coming into our room trough a what i can only think through the window, but yet again woke up 4 - 5 times my back killing me the wife said that she was the same, Not been the best stay i must say,

Lovely hotel - always stay here for location .
Desk staff gave free drink and breakfast vouchers

Staff at reception were friendly and efficient. The walk to and from railway station was reasonably quick though scary at times due to poor signage. Decent breakfast in morning.

The hotel does not have any parking. You are directed to use the CitiPark car park which is over by the Armouries Museum, which is a 10-15 minute drive/walk. There is a 20 minute grace period for unloading in front of the hotel but minimal spaces to do so and we ended up queuing on a very narrow street.
We were met with drunks being escorted from the foyet, who then loitered around the hotel. There were beer bottles left in the doorway and the entrance smelled of cigarettes from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.
The breakfast wasn't great, it was ok but there weren't many selections of cereals and the hot food was barely edible. I left most of mine.

Unfortunately the heating in the room was broken so it was cold. After a call to reception a heater was promised, this didn’t arrive. As we were going out for the evening I again told reception our heating was not working in the room. This time a radiator was placed in the room whilst we were out but not plugged in so the room was as cold as when we left it.
I think at the room rate I paid I would expect to be warm.

Taking our grandchild to see Peppa Pig we decided to use our free night from hotels.com to stay in Leeds. We chose the hotel as it was located well for us and offered a good standard. The Leonardo were helpful in holding our bag whilst we went out with the grandchild (prior to check in), on checking in the staff were very courteous and gave us complimentary drinks and cake. The room was pleasant and comfortable but had an adjoining door to next door (locked) which wasn’t very sound proof so we could hear the residents of the room on occasions!
Around the corner from the hotel about 3 minutes walk is Ciao Bella where we had a lovely Italian meal and we would recommend to anyone.
However overall we were pleased with The Leonardo Hotel and would return if in Leeds again.

Regularly use this hotel, has everything I need for a short stay. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good and bar is adequate. Rooms are clean, nice shower lifts very efficient.

Paid £131 for a one night stay. Quite small room. Generally quite run down and a bit shabby, paint spattered on toilet, curtains falling off and had holes in, stained carpets outside and inside room. Disappointed overall. Supposed to be returning for a wedding in a few weeks but looking to stay elsewhere now. Good enough for a place to sleep but nothing special.

Hotel is well situated and easy access in/out of Leeds, and parking at CitiPark Docks is discounted.
Nice bars and eateries in the Brewery Wharf area with just a short walk into Leeds City centre itself.
The Hotel is next to the Royal Armouries, shopsand cafes near to it too.
But, our room wasnt great.
grubby bathroom floor, sink and toilet area.
Shower curtain an inch too short so water glowing onto flower when showering wasnt great.
Toilet itself didnt at times...not pleasant.
Small double bed was ok.
The Hotel bar had no drinks on tap...just bottled, cans etc.
Infact when buying a spirit and mixer we were given remains of an already half used opened bottle and another new one....but charged for 2, and it aint cheap!
Staff were friendly, efficient....as expected really.
Vonvenient hotel and average price range but needs a dptuce up in their rooms .

Good view during the day but a busy and loud bar right outside my bedroom window with music blaring until 2am!

On arrival I was initially impressed by what i saw however it went from bad to worse as the weekend went on.
Very rowdy crowd in the room next door that came back to the hotel and had a party both nights lasting until 5am. We had our door banged on several times and felt quite vulnerable. Breakfast wasnt great and there was a lack of glasses to have a simple glass of water.
During the last night(5am) the hotel tried to charge my credit card for an amount (not equaling what was spent) that my credit card provider thought was fraud so froze any other payments. I was then unable to pay for our actual charges in the morning. Luckily I had another form of payment.
I certainly wont be back.

We had a good overnight stay, will definitely return again if staying in Leeds. The only negative was that the coffee wasn't very good at breakfast.

The bathroom is long overdue maintenance. The shower pressure was abysmal and the shower curtain was not fit for purpose.
The lighting was dreadful and the breakfast quality was poor.

Left my watch which made me have to speak to head office before anyone would admit they had it.

The location was amazing, just a few minutes walk from all the places we wanted to be. The staff were lovely, especially the lady who greeted us when we arrived six hours later than planned due to a change in our travel plans.
The hotel was clean, the hot water was almost instant and the room had very well replenished refreshments, including bottles of water.
The breakfast was lovely and i was extremely pleased to see a separate area for dietary requirements.
All in all, brilliant value.

I like this hotel. It is good value for money at, realistically, the lower end of the price range for hotels in Leeds. Friendly efficient service at reception, adequate rooms.
The worst aspect of the hotel is breakfast. The food is just about adequate but the clearing of the tables is poor. On most occasions, one arrives at the dining area to find that dirty plates haven’t been cleared from a large number of tables and tables haven’t been cleaned and reset for a new customer.

Hotel is in a good location for the city centre (5 mins walk). Clean, spacious rooms & comfy beds. Staff were friendly & helpful. I would recommend & would definitely stay again.

Can’t fault the place, excellent value, great reception area, rooms are comfortable, bathroom could be a little better

Hotel was extremely clean and smelt lovely in the rooms, very good breakfast with plenty of choice

Surrounding area nice and great location near the docks. Cafe and stores nearby within walking distance.
Lobby was excellent - have a bit of a high end feel.
Room bathroom could use a facelift. Black spots on the walls and very run down.
Stayed for 2 nights so booked the cheapest standard room. Marks on the room wall but overall clean. TV wasn’t modern and could be placed on the wall. Twin bed has wheels so had to move it against the wall to avoid moving around. Leonardo rooms are typically small so no issue there.
I’d stay again but would get a better room.

There was a minor clerical error when booking, neither Expedia or Leonardo could resolve the issue without considerable expense to me. The contact information provided by Expedia was for the hotel direct but the hotel could not amend my booking because it was carried out by a 3rd party.
This has cost me personally over £1000 and my party was unable to stay when required due to the minor clerical error.
I will not be using Expedia to book any further accommodation.

The staff where amazing helping me re check in
2.5
Very good stay, staff are very friendly and service is good. Bar area is being refurbished but will be good when finished. Parking is only 8 minutes walk away and all my previous experiences with the Armouries car park have always been good. Easy walk into City Centre and rooms are quiet.

Nice hotel clean well presented walking distance to centre shops etc

Very out dated, bathroom are not the best, not modern, very dated and old. Staff at initial check in wasn’t very friendly and quite blunt. Bed was comfy and in good location.
