Restaurant staff and service were great. Although when attempting to but three bottles of wine for our table first three choices on menu were unavailable. As was the rib eye steak for 2 of us. Food apart from that was really good. But the noise from the cocktail bar DJ is horrendous on both the nights we ate there. So not a place for a quiet restaurant experience.

Excellent reception upon arrival- professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Plans had changed and offered alternative room which was fantastic.

Amazing place

Great location. Short walk to absolutely everything. Love staying in an older historical hotel where efforts are made to provide the best of both worlds.
Mattress could have been a bit better quality but not a deal breaker. Bathroom does not have a ceiling fan so it can get a bit steamy, but once again not a deal breaker. Definitely recommend the place.

A cool boutique hotel in the ciy center; in need a bit of a facelift.
Multiple minor things in the room which could do with attention (e.g., shower door not quite fitting right any more, the hairdrier in the room being broken, etc).
No single major thing, just a lot of minor things which probably used to be perfect but aren't now.

Awful awful bathroom! The shower was just terrible. Bathroom in very poor state of repair.
The room had a smell of cigarette smoke too.

Comfortable room. Very helpful and friendly staff.
The shower needs some maintenance - I noticed it had leaked onto the floor to the left of the shower screen. Also the shower was leak below the spray head.

Everything was great apart from the mattress which is very firm which we found uncomfortable

Close to station and shops with friendly reception staff. Very noisy bar and sound proofing between rooms could be better. Restaurant food good but lots of local options for eating. Bedroom bit tired with bathroom in need of new floor and a deep clean. Hairdryer electrical safety tag out of date. Spa treatments reasonably priced and availability good.

Had a lovely stay, staff were super friendly

Great city centre location. Easy check in. Room clean, comfortable and a good shower.

Always great service from the hotel staff and located in a great city centre location.
The breakfast is lovely, but on the pricey side.
My room was very cramped and the bathroom in poor condition. It’s impossible to shower with the water pressure and very small shower head coming out of the wall. There needs to be some investment in the bathrooms!

Excellent 1st Class Hotel where staff can't do enough for you; in a good central location.

Why would you choose anywhere else to stay in Newcastle?
Walking distance from central station and good for all central attractions.
Beds and linen are unbelievably good

Good hotel, fairly central and great if going to The Glasshouse. Breakfast very good and staff were extremely friendly. Really enjoyed returning to this hotel and will do so again. The only downside to our room (26) was it has a very small shower cubicle and the windows were quite dirty though understand that there are works going on in the area and this could account for it.

Small but lovely room. Great bathroom. Perfect location for Newcastle city centre

Had some issues, older mattress was not very comfortable but as only for 2 nights made do.
Diner menu was not available on night I wanted to eat so had to make do with lunch menu.
The associated massage location had decided not to open the day I arrived; my fault for not booking ahead but still was disappointing. Have to say staff were all great and did what they could to make it a good experience.

We received a warm welcome at check in. We had arrived earlier than 3pm and were allowed to leave our bags no problem
Our room was on first floor, there were stairs and a lift on site.
The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. Including White company toiletries, coffee & tea making facilities, hairdryer, iron & ironing board.
The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were lovely and soft (squidgy).
There was temperature controls too.
Our room was above the Leila Lily's bar so we did have music noise till just after 10pm. As it was an internal room we didnt have any road noise
We didnt opt for the on site breakfast , it is available for £15 in advance or £17 on the day.
Location is excellent for the shops, Theatre Royal, quayside and bars & restaurants.

Hotel was lovely, clean very central the only complaint is that the bed wasn’t very comfortable

Less than 5 minutes walk to restaurants, bars and main shopping area. Also only 5 mins walk to quayside area with more restaurants and bars. 5 mins walk to railway station.
Great location. First class breakfast cooked to order with plenty of choice.
Good value for money hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Very quiet and comfortable room in the heart of the city. Very nice facilities. Great city neighborhood with excellent restaurants and bar areas.

The hotel is in a great location but a bit worn and absolutely the worst water pressure in the shower. This may be because we were on the top floor but it was little more than a drip. The staff was hit or miss on friendliness.

Smooth check in (friendly), unique and beautiful room, comfortable bed

From check in to check out, I received excellent service and would recommend this Hotel to any prospective Guests.

At most 3 stars. ‘Spa’ apparently means services like nails, not an actual spa. Felt short changed by that.

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights for a city break. It was an excellent central location, staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We booked a junior suite and it was very modern and clean with a huge comfy bed.
Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both continental and cooked breakfast, we would definitely recommend the waffles.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

I think the hotel is a great location & the staff are friendly. Wish the internet worked though. Wasn’t ever able to get it to work not once over a week long stay.

Only stayed for a night for our daughter’s graduation but will certainly stay again. Can’t fault the hotel or staff.

Very central hotel with super stylish rooms and very friendly staff. Within walking distance of Newcastle city center surrounded by lots of eateries and bars. Third stay here and it will not be my last.

Room was super clean, bed lovely and comfortable and staff very efficient. Will def stay here again.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Went way above and beyond following a small booking/room allocation mixup (both parties error). Would definitely stay again.

We stayed for two nights and the hotel is lovely, very central and easy to access - noise on a Friday/Saturday night was negligible, definitely not as bad as you would expect for how central it is. Service was good and the bed was very comfortable. Only downside was the air-conditioning not working very well - it was ok as we could open the window but was not as cool as you would like it for a summer weekend. Other than that, we had a lovely stay and would recommend for a city visit.

No towels in the room on arrival, when wanted to make a drink in the morning there were no teabags and the cups were dirty containers tea and teabags in them
So no morning tea

Nice staff and location
