The personal we’re not friendly. Upon check in the other couple were given an upgrade at no additional cost. When my wife asked the receptionist was it possible to get an upgrade as welll she was very short with my wife saying she would have to check with the manager. We went to our room which was very small the phone wrang and my wife answered and was told an upgrade was not possible and hung up. Rude people! Never stay here again.

The Mercury Biarritz was in a perfect location. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel was very clean, beds were very comfy. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful!

The hotel is in a great location. It is clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful with excellent English. Our only discomfort was no air-conditioning. The temperatures were quiet high during our stay and we would have likedxto have used the air-conditioning, especially at night. Apparently the hotel's system was still on winter mode and so the cooling could not be used. This meant we had three bad nights of sleep. We were either too hot with the doors to the balcony open or kept awake by the revellers below.

Hotel is very central and is decorated in an Art-Deco style. Rooms are clean and comfortable although the air conditioning is not very powerful. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful .

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and perfect location. We traveled with a dog and felt welcome from the beginning. We had a normal room and not a specificatie dog room which means we had a very clean room without any damages. Nice view on the ocean.

My view was opening my curtains and seeing construction workers looking at me ! The window was next to construction work on the building beside. Was not too pleasant waking up to this view and people looking.

The room was smaller than I expected.The receptionist on arrival had no eye contact.We used the Bell Boys luggage rack and took ourselves to our room.The towels were thin.Plus point was that it had a local car park.We would not go back.

This was my fourth stay at this hotel, located right opposite the Grande Plage, right near the casino if you are into gaming. They also have a car park available right up the street, less than 100 yards. The room is large and cozy. In short, well appointed. I booked one with full ocean view, which was very soothing at night. I did not have breakfast this thing, (see pic attached) but did so in the past and it was OK. Just didnt seem worth the money this time around. The hotel location is perfect, giving you a quick access to plenty of food options.

Hotel was ok. Very hot room that smelled of cigarette smoke (we are non smokers). The window didn't lock and we were on the first floor. The woman at reception said someone would look and no one did. Not very helpful day time staff on the front desk. The hotel is in a great spot for the beach, restaurants ect so really can't beat that. I would have been happier if the air conditioning was working but other than that fine for a few nights.

We had a great time in Biarritz , especially watching the Euro final in a tapas bar with the patriotic French , and also at the weekly street market on the Wednesday evening.

Really wonderful hotel - very dog friendly - he was allowed everywhere! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff they provided fantastic service. Parking close by. Excellent location - very near the beach restaurants and the shops. Would definitely visit again and thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have a dog - its so nice to be somewhere where your pet is welcome. Just an aside the restaurant does not have a restaurant for dinner but has breakfast. There was not one restaurant in Biarritz that turned us away with our pet. A truly fantastic experience.
