I know you get what you pay for but i stopped in a single bed room, but when the heating was off it was freezing and i mean freezing, also took 15 minutes to get hot water in the sink, has for the shower that was a joke i ran it for 20 minutes but the water was freezing, also in the bathroom tiles were away from the wall, the only good thing i can say was the staff were polite and helpful, the breakfast was brilliant well full, over all the hotel could do with a mayor overall all ,the room i stayed in was 107 overall i would give it 2 out of 10 sorry.

When we arrived we were given a terrible room wardrobe broken chair broken not a nice room ,complained and was moved to a better room , couldn’t use shower as not disabled friendly no rails to hold on to .but was a better room, staff were lovely very helpful and friendly were really good with the dog , would stay there again but would ask for proper disabled friendly room

Think this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, my wee brother found a used condom down the side of his bed, the toilet seat was broken, the room was covered in mild and the wardrobe was barely standing. Not once were we told about having to pay for parking and ended up getting a ticket poor communication from staff not worth the money

We arrived at the hotel early evening to find no one on the reception only a notice saying contact the barman in the bar. This man appeared and proceeded to check us in we was given a sea view room on the second floor which was perfectly adequate for our one night stay. Most of the problems were caused by other rude guests who were staying there who were rude with raised voices in the early hours of the morning from banging about and generally making noises whilst people were trying to sleep
Also someone banging on bedroom doors in the morning was enough for us not to consider staying at the hotel in the future

Its a basic hotel byt to be honest what can you expect at £43 for 2 adults with breakfast?

The room had no heating and was small. Could do with painting. For the price we paid it was ok. The bar on site… had to wait ages to be serviced. Just press the bell n wait… The lift was not working properly.

Nice clean hotel, great staff and great food

The room we were given had flacking paint, plaster off the wall, wardrobe leaning, bathroom fittings missing, shower grouting full of mold and deadflies on window sill. When i complained and asked to be moved they asked if i would pay a supliment for a sea view. You can guess my reply. The second room was better but had a light fitting falling out of the bathroom ceiling and not enough toilet paer which we told reception about but never got more luckily we took some back at night as i guesed it wouldnt be sorted. In all we booked a 3 star which from point of booking had been down graded to 2 star but that still to many. Wasnt even offerd any compensation. Would we stay again?. We would stay away!

On arriving hotel looked very run down. Man on reception seemed like he couldn't be bothered. Gave us our room key and pointed us in the direction of the lift. The lift is like something off faulty towers and im sure it wouldnt pass a safty check. Don't know where to start with the room! Bedding seemed clean'ish but no pillow protectors, holes in the wall and plaster crumbling, windows didn't shut properly, curtains were thin and hanging down, furniture was all marked and falling apart (dirty socks found in one!) One plug socket with a small extension lead. Bathroom was disgusting!!! Had definitely not been cleaned i would say for weeks!!! Shower door was full of scum marks, full of hairs and black mould around the edges inside and out. Bin in the bathroom was full!!! We had our grandchildren with us so cleaned the shower the best i could with baby wipes!!! Went down to reception to complain and his responce was " are you sure it was dirty!!!" After having a few words he said he would empty the bin but i told him don't bother with the shower because I had done it myself and would go out to get cleaning stuff to do it properly! Only plus with this hotel was the dinning room. Kept very clean and the staff were lovely, breakfast was good. Would not recommend this hotel and will not be going back

On arrival the staff were pleasant no issues, the room was a let down being very dated, poor maintenance. The room and bathroom were covered in hair from all body parts, walls and ceilings full of cracks, flaking paint and spiders webs. The pull out bed was not fit for purpose and led to an uncomfortable evening for the kids.
On the plus side tea and coffee supplied with CLEAN cups

We ordered a sea view room, with breakfast and free wifi as we was attending a wedding in the area! Well the rooms windows were all blown, so you couldn’t see out of them, there was no WiFi some excuse which they said they couldn’t fix! Charged £7 a day to park outside the hotel and a refundable £10 as they don’t have hair driers in the rooms! Room bathroom was black mild around the bath, a leaking toilet, damaged furniture and not cleaned properly, dust hair on the floor and bits in the bin! Had no option to book anywhere else as it was bank hols and I felt we paid way too much for this room which was the pits!! On a positive note the breakfast was really nice and the fella who checks you into the dining room was pleasant and welcoming! Obviously will never stay here again!!

Firstly on check in receptionist named Martin is rudely spoke to us,no greeted & after he told us they need £7 per night cash for car parking, then we observed that our room was cold so we asked them for heating but they said it’s not working, then in the room bathroom basin was also too small & water spills on the floor & hot water tap was too hot, even u can touch the water, then for shower, then water pressure was too slow, totally it was rubbish,i booked room for 2 nights but I stayed only 1 night ,I recommend to everyone plz don’t book this hotel for saving some few pound,i can have better hotels .

Our room smelt like rat pee and at the expense of sounding crazy, definitely haunted.

Needs some TLC to inside but beds/bedding clean and bathroom clean

Unable to check in early which was a shame. No instructions given on breakfast and where to go for it the next day.
Room was pretty gross. Dirty carpet, no batteries in tv remote, bathroom mouldy and a big dirty hole where the plug should be for the sink.
View was a dirty alley.
One mug in a double room, however given the cleanliness we didn’t want to make a cuppa anyway.
It seems some rooms are much more superior than others.
Fire alarm went off at 5am.
Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly in the breakfast room.

Little pokey room with a view of - a brick wall. But was clean and comfortable, and cheap and had standard hotel facilities.
Staff very good. Lift not working properly so staff had to accompany guests and were very obliging. Slept well. Buffet breakfast was nice and dining room boss very pleasant and helpful. Wasn’t aware that parking in the tiny spaces was charged at £7 a day but found free parking in adjacent streets.
If looking for a posh hotel this is not it but perfectly adequate for a cheap break in Blackpool. I would use again for a short break.

Warm welcome on arrival
Staff were great and helpful
Breakfast was ok but dining room more like a holiday camp cafeteria.
Children running around didn't help promote a pleasant experience .
Main draw back was the bedroom twin room very small and cramped and room furniture very shoddy needs replacing
Location of hotel was great

Great friendly helpful staff. The reception manager Nathan, was well organised and nothing was to much trouble. Restaurant and bar staff were very helpful

Staff very friendly and chatty, dining area and reception are lovely. Place looks great till u go upstairs to the rooms, really is in need of redecoration and upgrading. First floor smelled completely of wet dog, we had a mouldy shower, ripped duvet cover and we had to “make the bed” when we got there cos it was a riot. Broken glass in windows, walls were peeling, had a mouldy shower, broken bed and dried blood on the mattress, bed felt damp when you lay on it, wardrobe was like the leaning tower of piza. The rooms just need a bit of tlc, at least the one we had on the first floor did, (our other room, bear in mind we were a family of 4) was on the second floor due to being at full capacity, fair enough until i realised the room next to us was empty for 2 nights and only filled on our last day, would have made more sense for us to have those rooms and the other people could have had the one on the second floor.
The place was nice and ideal if a family with young kids as you are away from the craziness that is the nightlife and theres a tram stop right outside. But unfortunately the room did let it down. Please upgrade the rooms because your place has the potential to be a goldmine otherwise

Room was ok size wise, although tv didnt work, even after asking several times for it to be looked at no one ever did.. kettle and tea and coffee etc in room as standard, but no teaspoons or anything to stir.. the redeeming feature was the bed, it was very comfortable..

The President Hotel never fails. Ive tried a few others in Blackpool and none come close to it for Cleanliness, Value, comfort and attentive staff.
Martin and Nathan on the front desk are always available for a chat or to get anything thats needed.
The self serve breakfast is fabulous, the staff and chef are always chatty and friendly and willing to go out of their way for you.
If i visit Blackpool, which is often, this is the only place I'll stay now.

The owner and all staff are very friendly and helpful. I would never stay anywhere else in Blackpool. I'm a senior woman travelling on my own and feel very safe staying at the President Hotel, love my stay every single time. I only have the breakfast and it is excellent.

Room smelled on onions, shower hose was literally covered in black mould, carpet looked like it has never been cleaned apart from hoovering. Dining area and other mains areas are great, no issues
